Don't
bail out...because you can't figure it out. What are your expectations?
What you expect is what you will find. An expectation is a strong
belief that an event will happen or be the case in the future. Every day
you anticipate events-you expect things to happen based on what you
believe. Many believe life's circumstances dictate what they can
expect-this is a lie. As a Christian, your expectations
are in Christ- being sure of what you hope for & certain of what
you don't see (Heb 11:1). Fear screams, "what you see is what you can
expect!" Listen closely, no matter what you see-a broken relationship,
financial ruin, betrayal of a loved one, death, war, grief, diseased
body, depraved mind...you can expect that God's mighty to save you &
He will comfort you with His love (Zeph 3:17). Christ is before the
seen & unseen-He holds it all together (Col 1:17). Life's
circumstances don't determine your destiny or what you can expect. Your
destiny has been determined by God & Jesus has already made a way
for you. Your part is to face the difficult circumstances-then Jesus
will walk you through. If you don't face it-He can't walk you through
it. Make a decision, put your confident expectation in Him-walk by
faith, not sight (2 Cor 5:7). Expectations are determined on the inside
of you where Jesus lives, not in life's circumstances. Life is cruel
& unfair at times, but you can have a confident expectation despite
the trials you experience-expect change. Don't get caught up in how the
change will occur-you can't figure it out. Stand on the promise that
Jesus has overcome this world-He's deprived it of the power to harm you
(Jn 16:33). Humanly speaking what you see is impossible, but not for
God-all things are possible for Him (Mt 19:26)! Your expectations aren't
in what you can do or see; your expectations are in God-He's got good
plans for you (Jer 29:11). Don't bail out because you can't figure it
out...you will forgo your future. Keep believing in God; your confident
expectation is in Him...every time! (Mk 11:22)! 7/31/13CIFL-LMM #overcomer #christianinsightforlife www.facebook.com/christianinsightforlife

A testimony isn't a one time event...it's a lifetime event. Your testimony began the day you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, but then it becomes your life story-your daily walk with Christ...it never ends. You have an opportunity to share your testimony every day in the way you walk with Christ. Your testimony...a lifetime event-keep walking yours out because it matters (Col 3:23)! 7/31/13CIFL-LMM

Perfection & performance...
What a relief to know that perfection & performance don't determine value & worth (Phil 3:9)! I know this is God's truth & I do believe it, but daily I have to come against feelings of unbelief that want to convince me otherwise. True humility keeps me anchored-allowing me to accept what I'm not. I can't, but God can & He will do through me what He calls me to do-bringing to completion what He started in me (2 Cor 12:9, Phil 1:6).
This truth gives all of us the freedom to lay down who we think we should be & become who Christ says we are...His masterpiece created to do the good works He planned long ago (Eph 2:10) We are new creations in Christ-the old has gone, the new has come (2 Cor 5:17). We're approved not because of what we do-but because of Who we belong to! If God's for us who can be against us (Rom 8:31)? Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Cor 3:17). Your past doesn't determine who you are-God does.
You're not here because you were the desire of your parents or because you were a mistake...you are here because the Creator of the Universe, your Father God, knitted you together with His very own hands (Ps 139:13). So wake up sleeper...lift your head, you've got important work to do in this world (Gal 5:14); stop debating the power that lives in you & take the steps to walk out the power God lends you daily (Eph 3:20)! Press forward in His strength-not yours...you are made for hard (Isa 41:10)! 7/30/13CIFL-LMM

Don't have lunch with condemnation...
Don't
have lunch with condemnation today. He poses as wanting to help you
overcome, but all he's doing is trying to...overwhelm you! He wants to
steal, kill and destroy the abundant life Jesus died to give you
(Jn10:10). Today, say "good-bye condemnation, I'm with Jesus and He
knows all my weaknesses and His love in me will overcome all I need
to!" (2 Cor 12:9) 7/0/13CIFL-LMM

Jesus...our burden bearer
Jesus...our
burden bearer. Jesus will take your burdens when you release them to
Him (Ps 68:19). He will be with you and fight for you because He says
so and He can't lie (2 Chron 20:17). Your part is to decide if you
believe what He says. If you do, He will deliver you from what's
opposing you and you can know with confidence that delay doesn't mean
denial, believing doesn't depend on seeing and your insufficiency
is more than sufficient in the hands of Jesus (2 Cor 12:9). Believing
the power of Jesus that lives in you allows Him to work through you to
face the impossible burdens that are opposing you (Ps 55:22). Choosing
not to believe the power of Jesus that lives in you... keeps the burden
on you. Jesus is our burden bearer-He will take your burdens...will you
let Him? 7/28/13CIFL-LMM
Royal Family Kids...camp for abused & neglected children
Just returned from a wk of camp for foster children- RFK. Every yr these kids take a part of my heart; my love overflows & my heart aches as the wk comes to a close. This was my 4th camp of witnessing God going to work through willing people...in impossible situations. The challenges faced at camp each yr are beyond the human scope of repair, but when human willingness is partnered with God's mightiness...the door of hope opens! We showed up with our resources-time, money, experience, knowledge, education & open minds; God did the rest. He touched the hearts of these children-giving them hope & a future (Jer 29:11). Some children took on a noticeably brighter outlook, others were barely noticeable, & yet some, none at all. We have to be careful & not measure outcome by our limited comprehension-instead trust & focus on God's promises...God's Word doesn't return void (Isa 55:11), we walk by faith-not sight (2 Cor 5:7) & God's not partial-all are given the same opportunity to know Jesus (Acts 10:34). What a relief to know we can rest in God making a way for these children-the burden isn't on us-it's on God...hope in Him all day long! (Ps 25:5) 6/28/13CIFL-LMM

Give your mind some relief...
Does
your mind continuously play out different scenarios that you know you
can't control? Are you trying to figure out "why" you're going through
certain trials right now...is your mind exhausted? Give your mind some
relief, instead of focusing on "why" you are going through...begin to
focus on "Who" lives in you & is with you-always until the very end
(Mt 28:20). Jesus told us to expect trials & not
lose heart because He's overcome this world (Jn 16:33). John 14:27 says
Jesus gives us His peace, to not be afraid or let our hearts be
troubled & to not be agitated by allowing ourselves to be fearful,
intimidated, cowardly & unsettled. Rest in Jesus-your mind will
explode if you continue to play out the scenarios that you have no
control over anyway. Trials will confront you until the day you go to
Heaven; life is unfair, people cheat & bad things happen-you will
lose your mind if you try to take on these burdens...put your faith in
God's power, not human wisdom (2 Cor 2:5). Following Jesus doesn't
exempt you from trials but He will deliver you from each one of them (Ps
34:19). What a relief to know the burdens of life are not on us...so
don't let the "why" take your eyes off of the "Who" lives in you &
is with you during every trial! 7/26/13CIFL-LMM

God's Word trumps...all things!
God's
Word trumps...all things. Don't fret or be anxious about anything.
Doesn't matter how lost it is, useless it looks, number of times it
happened, far away it is, impossible it is to comprehend, dead, broken,
angry, bitter, jealous, envious or hopeless it is...God's Word trumps
all things! He existed before all things & in Him all things
consist, cohere & are held together. He knows your name,
every single thought you've ever had, are having or will have. He's the
Alpha & the Omega. God speaks & nothing becomes
something...taking shape & form. Holy Sees, Holy Knows & Holy
Does. Will you trust Him to walk you where you can't see to go? You know
in your heart you're not where you're suppose to be, but you don't know
how to get to where He wants you to be-God will show you...but you must
begin to take steps into the unknown. You won't know God will lead you
through the unknown..until you're in the unknown & He leads you. His
Word is a lamp to your feet & a light to your path. God's Word
trumps all things...will you let Him trump all things in your life?

Setbacks in life...overcoming with these three truths
Setbacks
in life...you're back in a place you swore you'd never be again.
Disappointment slaps you- failure overwhelms you. You worked hard to
leave a place you despised, but here you are...again. You've climbed out
of this same pit many times-but this time...you're done. You're
embarrassed, hopeless and don't understand what's wrong with you.
Shame and condemnation begin to flood you. You must know three
truths about where you are right now. First, your willpower doesn't
work-grace does. You can't deliver yourself from this...only Jesus can.
Willpower motivates you to start the race, but it's Jesus power that
sustains you-allowing you to complete the race. Each morning seek Jesus
instead of seeking to overcome-nothing is overcome unless it's done via
Jesus (Mt 6:33). Thank Jesus in the morning and throughout the day for
the strength He will provide to you (Phil 4:13). Don't entertain
thoughts that if you try harder, you can sustain...it's a setup for a
setback. It's in your weakness that God's power is made perfect (2 Cor
12:9). Second, renew your mind. Profess and believe you're
delivered...even when you see no indication of deliverance. God calls
things that be not-as though they are (Rom 4:17). Agree with God, who He
says you are...not what you feel you are (Eph 2:10). God never
condemns you-He doesn't want you to either; condemnation guarantees
failure. Third, consistently seek Christ and have faith constantly (Mk
11:22). God's truth must be applied to every area of your life-
completely surrender all of you to Him...holding nothing back (Pr
3:5-6). Ask Jesus to examine, correct and enable you, because you
can't...but He can & will. God will meet you where you are...love
Him with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind (Mt 22:37).
Do these three things daily & look forward to the peace God will
provide to you (Phil 4:7). Seek the Lord-He will answer you; those who
look to Him are radiant, there faces are never covered with shame (Ps
34:4-5). He has good plans for you. Will you let Him be your anchor of
hope (Jer 29:11, Heb 6:19)? 7/21/13CIFL-LMM
No one can be against you...if God is for you!
Without God-trials would do you in, but because of God... you're guaranteed to move through them! No one can be against you, if God is for you. God justifies you-no one else! No one, nothing, nada...can ever come between God and His love for you. Will you receive His love today & let Him complete you? Jesus has got the power!
Jesus has got the power! Your willpower doesn't work-Jesus' power does. Willpower deceives you
into believing if you try hard enough you can make things happen. Your trying works for a season but over time leads nowhere...a man's ways seem right to him, but eventually lead to death (Pr 14:12). You can try until you die-only Jesus can make things happen. Submit your
will to Jesus' power and Jesus will power His strength through you. He will take you further than your mind can imagine or comprehend, but you determine the amount of power Jesus will infuse in you...based on what you believe He will do (Eph 3:20). Regardless of what you believe, the truth remains the same... Jesus will infuse
inner strength into anyone who believes in Him. Accept the freedom offered to you as a believer in Jesus Christ...believe in His power instead of your willpower. Then expect His sufficiency through you to accomplish what God calls you to do (Phil 1:13). Your willpower becomes sufficient in Christ's
sufficiency. Jesus has got the power and He will flow it through you (Jn 6:29)! 5/2013CIFL-LMM

God is doing a work in you!
God is doing a work in you...and He will bring it to completion (Phil 1:6). Some days you don't see any progress-you're fatigued, tired and beginning to lose sight of the original goals and dreams God put in your heart-don't lose heart (Gal 6:9). Stay in the race-Jesus has already run ahead of you and made a way! The
pounding, pushing and pressing you're experiencing wants to discourage you...but God turns every trial around for His glory for those who love Him (Rom 8:28). He's strengthening you with the
endurance needed to win this race-He refreshes the weary and satisfies the faint (Jer 31:25). The only way you're eliminated from the race is...if you stop running in it. Don't stop-Jesus won't and He's in you! 7/6/13CIFL-LMM
Keep moving...God's doing a work in you
Keep moving...recalling what Jesus whispered to your heart. This journey is to equip you-not discourage you. The good work God started in you, He will continue through you until the day Jesus Christ returns. (Phil 1:6) 10/13CIFL-LMM
Christ gives strength...
Christ gives us strength every day to carry out what He calls us to do...not what we call ourselves to do. I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me! (Phil 4:13) 5/1/13CIFL-LMM
Hurt...holds you back
Holding on to hurt...holds you back. Hurt is like a toxic spill in your
body. Every time you revisit the hurt...toxins leak into every cell of
your body-causing harm to your heart, mind and spirit. You can't
manage the damage...but Jesus can. Release your hurt to Him and be
healed. Renew your mind with God's truth-be transformed and changed by His love; He
approves all of you. Seek Him daily for all your needs. (Rev 3:20, Rom 12:2, Mt
6:33) 3/29/13CIFL-LMM
How great is our God?
How Great is our God? He performs wonders that can't be fathomed;
miracles that can't be counted-He controls the clouds and makes
lighting flash. He's before all you see and don't see. You can't
understand all He does...but you can trust all He does. Don't allow what
you don't know...to undermine your faith in the One Who does know. (Job
5:9, 37:15, Col 1:17) 6/6/13CIFL-LMM
God is faithful...
God is faithful...His mercies are new every morning-yesterday is gone and today is ahead of you. Jesus is with you in every second, every
breath you take and every thought you have. Praise His Holy Name...He
goes before you daily to bear your burdens. He refreshes the weary and satisfies the faint (Jer 31:25). What you release to Jesus-He
takes; what you don't... you keep. Will you let God refresh and satisfy you today? (Lam 3:23, Ps 68:19) 6/5/13CIFL-LMM
Sustaining the Journey...
To sustain the journey...write the vision down plainly-look at it daily so you see it coming and going. Most importantly remember why you do what you do...the vision is God's truth being carried out through you. God puts a vision in every person-agreeing with His Word ignites the vision...writing it down and looking at daily keeps the flame going. Some days weariness will overshadow the vision-just keep trusting God and His timing; in due season you will reap. Remember the vision is God's truth-it will come to pass, it can't be trumped by...anything. Sustain the journey friend-be patient, God's with you! Don't ponder, debate or speculate God's Word...
Debating
God's truth doesn't change it. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your
Lord & Savior, Jesus immediately came to live in you. He goes where
you go, He stays where you stay-He's alive in you! Jesus told us we'd
have tribulation, trials, distress & frustration, but to not worry
& to take courage-being confident, certain & undaunted! He's
overcome the world-deprived it of the power to harm you
& has conquered it for you (Jn 16:33). This is God's promise, if a
person doesn't believe it...it doesn't make it any less true (Isa
55:11). God doesn't discriminate-His promises are available to anyone
who believes in Him (Acts 10:34). Every person that accepts Jesus as
their Lord & Savior has access to His promises-whether they believe
& walk out His Word will determine if they live out His promises.
God doesn't lie-many want to debate His Word as if it's open for
modifications...it's not. Don't ponder, debate, & speculate...you
lose ground & become confused. Blessed are those who hear the Word
of God & obey it! Believing God is a choice...not a feeling. We
choose to believe, then walk out what we profess-walk by by faith, not
sight (2 Cor 5:7); this is how we spiritually strengthen our believing
muscles. Jesus said He's deprived the world of the power to harm
you-He's conquered it for you; this gives you courage during trials;
knowing you don't have to figure this life out...because Jesus has!
Believe & let Jesus Christ flow His power through you to accomplish
the good plans God called you to long ago (Eph 2:10). Agree with
God-give Him an opportunity to finish the good work He started in you
& bring it to completion (Phil 1:6). He's the way, the truth &
the life...know His truth & be set free (Jn 14:6, Jn 8:32). Jesus
knows what you're facing this very second, choose to believe He's got
you covered. Don't debate, speculate or ponder one more second...
believe Him & be blessed! 7/16/13CIFL-LMM

A new you...God sees-do you?
A new
you-God sees...will you? You've got everything in you to become the
person God purposed you to be. Agreeing with & trusting God are the
two qualifiers to walk out the life He planned for you. Remember, you
doing what God calls you to do isn't just about you... your walk is
specifically purposed to fit into the big Kingdom plan. God announces
the end from the beginning (Isa 46:10) & what He purposes...will
happen (Isa 14:24). What a relief to know the burden's not on us! Agree
& trust He will guide you to be the person He's called you to be
(Eph 4:24). Nothing can separate you from His love...He lives in you
(Rom 8:31-39). Don't disqualify yourself because of weaknesses,
mistakes, fears or anxieties-God's worked everything in; His love
completes you (Col 2:10). He knows your heart & statement of
faith-He meets you where you are; equipping you with all you need to
carry out the plan He's put in you (Eph 2:10, 3:20). Will you receive
God's love & see the you He sees? You're a new creation, the old
has passed away-new things have come...you're reconciled & complete
in God's love (2 Cor 5:17). You are a new you-God sees...will you?

Jesus...your traveling companion
Your traveling companion...Jesus. He
goes where you go-you're never alone...never. Each hurt, rejection, disappointment and broken dream-He's with you and expect Him to return to
you what was taken from you (Joel 2:25). Renew your mind daily with
God's word- say what He says about you, don't be anxious or afraid-He's
with you always. Nothing is too impossible for our God (Luke 18:27). Do
not fear anything or be dismayed with anything-He will strengthen you
(Isaiah 41:10). His love is perfect and cast out all fear (1 John 4:18)
and He's in you my friend...He
knows what you're facing this very second because He's your traveling
companion always. Will you let Him handle what you're facing? 7/12/13CIFL-LMM
All God's people are called to run the race...
All God's people are called to the race...not all stay in it. There are many reasons God's people don't finish what He calls them to, but the reason I hear most in counseling people is...the rejection of God's grace. God's grace is our fuel to run the daily race-without it we're left to move forward in our intellect & stamina. Regardless of how smart & strong a person may believe they are-they have limits...God has none. We need God's grace daily...His grace gives us the ability to go beyond our own ability. We can't run the race He calls us to without His grace. That settles it for me-what about you? To agree with this truth is step one-step two is being purposed in renewing your mind daily with it, then step three is putting it into action. A mind not renewed daily with God's truth will not experience the victory He promises. Don't let your own reasoning remove you from the race God's called you to. Jesus has gone before you & laid out the course-every step has been ordered; however, this doesn't exempt you from falls, injuries or disappointment. You will have many troubles & God will deliver you from each one. His love gives the race a purpose...His grace gives you the strength to endure it with joy. Let's be real: the race is grueling. You will be exhausted many days & might consider giving up at times; maybe you already have. None of us are exempt from exhaustion-it's a sign to rest & be restored-it doesn't mean you're weak. Don't try to be a superhero-God's not impressed when you try to move forward without His grace. The enemy wants you to believe you don't have what it takes to run the race... he's a liar! God made you for the race. You have what you need to win. Focus on your run and don't compare yourself to others. God only wants to talk to you about your personal progress. Persevere & move through the obstacles of hurt, rejection, lies, grief, unfairness, loneliness, fear, ridicule, sadness, fatigue, disappointment, offenses & unknowns. Each one makes you rely on Jesus more-His power is made perfect in your weaknesses; independent of Him, you won't make it. When what you see doesn't line up with what you expected-don't drop out of the race...be confident that the good work God started in you will be brought to completion. The race isn't over until you go to Heaven-if you're still breathing, you're expected to run. Get back up-Jesus will help you. Do life with other Christians who will be honest with you-real friends will challenge where you are in the race not to judge you, but to hold you accountable. God purposed you for this race, you're approved by Him to run it, don't let anyone tell you differently; you're equipped, Jesus lives in you-enough said! Now, get your eyes on the prize...you are God's people-He planned this race long ago for you-the victory's won! The question is...will you run the race He's called you to? (2 Cor 12:9, Gal 6:4, Ps 34:19, Pr 14:12, Phil 1:6, Eph 2:10) 10/28/13CIFL-LMM
If God's for you...who can come against you?
A conqueror doesn't gain strength based on merit, or because of what
they accomplish or what they can do for someone, but a conqueror knows
their strength comes from the One Who chose and justified them. Who can
come against you if God's for you, can anything separate you from His
love, a situation too big for Him, a hardship He can't handle, a hurt
He's never heard of??? Nothing, nada, no one can come between Christ and
you-ever!(Rom 8:28-31) 7/11/13CIFL-LMM
God sufficiency vs self sufficiency
Meditate on the Word day and night, careful to do everything
written in it; not allowing it to depart from your mouth...you will be
prosperous and successful (Josh 1:8). That's God's promise to us, but
many believe only a few can fulfill what this verse requires. God never
asks anything of us that He doesn't give us the power to do. The power
He gives us is His love-He flows His love through us. When we spend
intimate time with God, we are filled with His power. Intimacy is
connecting to Him every day, letting Him know how we feel, reading His
Word for guidance and direction...just being with Him. This intimacy
strengthens our God sufficiency-making us capable to carry out what He
asks of us. Opposite of God's sufficiency is self-sufficiency which
takes us off of the path God's made in advance for each of us-thus
removing us from the good plans He has for each of us (Jer 29:11). You
will face many troubles, but when you're following the Lord, He comes to
your rescue every time (Ps 34:1)! Be aware of the enemy's
bait; encouraging you to rely on your ability to reason the potential
outcomes of a situation through your strength-this is self sufficiency.
God sufficiency holds on to God's promise no matter how dismal a
situation appears. Human wisdom quickly forgets the power of God's
promises (1 Cor 2:5). Stick to God sufficiency; if God said it...it is
true-no matter what! Walking in victory requires you to quickly and
consistently respond to the lies of the enemy-don't let his lies linger
in your mind; they will oppose your thoughts to God's Word. This of
course is the enemy's goal then you become anxious, insecure and begin
to allow human wisdom to flood your mind which always leads to disaster.
A man's way seems right, but it eventually leads to death ( Pr 14:12).
Go after each lie and replace it with the truth...God's Word; rest in
His confidence-He will make a way for you each time (Pr 3:4). You don't
have to know how God will provide...to believe He will
provide. Meditate on the Word day and night-you will be prosperous and
successful! 7/11/13CIFL-LMM

Jesus knows what you need...put your hope in Him!
Jesus, He knows what you need, can give you what you don't have and get you were you need to be. He carried the burdens of your life to the cross and wiped out the power of each one of them (Jn 16:33). Jesus' loved ones watched His persecution leading up to His death on the cross; their hope collapsed as they watched Him take His last breath. They forgot the promise He made that He would have to go, but would send the Advocate (Jn 16:7). They thought it was over-the plan didn't go as they expected; they reverted to human wisdom and forget the power of God (1Cor 2:5). Relying on what they could see...not Who they professed to believe. They let human reasoning rob them of God's promises. Have you allowed reasoning to steal God's promises based on what you can see? You've been praying and seeking God-not much has changed; you're growing weary. If you're honest-you're scared...what if you're wrong, what if you missed God, maybe you misunderstood? So you begin to let go of what you believed and prayed so diligently for-your hope fades and despair slaps you in the face mocking your faith. Listen closely, God can't lie-He keeps His promises. Run to Him-let the love of Jesus refresh you...hope in Him, not on what you can see. What you see changes constantly, Jesus never does-He will supply you with His hope every day...but you must take it. Jesus, He knows what you need, can give you what you don't have and get you where you need to be! Will you let Him??? (John 16:33, Eph 4:9, John 19:30, John 16:7, 1Cor 2:5, Heb 6:18-19) 7/10/13CIFL-LMM
You're not a mess up...
You will mess up, but that doesn't make you a...mess up. Be confident of the good work God started in you-He will bring it to completion until the day of Jesus Christ. (Phil 1:6) 7/10/13CIFL-LMM

Agreeing with and trusting God...do you?
For nothing is impossible with God (Lk 1:37). When was the last time you thought about this verse? It's where the angel Gabriel tells Mary, a virgin, that she's highly favored by God and that she will be with child and give birth to a son that she will name Jesus...and that His Kingdom will never end. Besides Mary being a virgin, she possessed no prior skills or training to be the candidate for the most important job in the world-but it was her response that qualified her...she agreed with what God said then completely trusted Him. That's all God needs from us to fulfill His plans through us...agreement and trust-the two qualifiers to be used by God. Can you imagine if Mary would have reasoned her ability to carry out the request God asked of her? How she would convince Joseph to believe her...."Joseph I know it's hard to believe, but God put the seed of Jesus in me-I'm carrying the Messiah. I promise you Joseph, I have not been with another man." Or what if she looked ahead and thought, "how will I be able to parent and protect Jesus Christ-I don't have the ability to parent Jesus." What are people going to say about me....will they think I've lost my mind?" There are a million more reasoning outcomes, but the point is when God puts a request on our heart, He's already done all the planning-the burden isn't on us to figure it out. Our part is to agree and trust. So what impossible are you facing? Are you trying to reason all the probable outcomes in your mind-so you can see how you will best carry out what God asks of you? Listen closely, there's a fine line between using the mind God gives us for His glory...and using our mind to figure out how we can glorify God. Only when we agree with His request in our mind and submit it to His Spirit, then move forward with a confident expectation in His ability-trusting Him to carry out through us what He's asked of us; then He will give us His peace and His confidence to carry out His plan through us. The peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and our minds (Phil 4:7). Trying to be prepared enough or reason out all the potential outcomes will make us lose our mind-really it will, but trusting God keeps our mind in peace. Our part is to move ahead with a sincere heart seeking Jesus in all we do, giving Him our best, but not getting bogged down in the fear of what if we mess up or miss Him; we will mess up, but God has our messes covered when we love Him with all our of heart, with all our soul and with all of our strength and with all your mind (Lk 10:27). Will you agree and trust God today? Nothing is impossible for Him! 7/9/13CIFL-LMM

Life's unpredicatable...but God has your back!
Life's unpredictable-you have no control in how it impacts you...but you do have complete control in how you respond to it. Life happens to you, but it does not determine who you are or what you become- God does. You must know and walk out His truth (Jn 8:32)-so you can be free to live the boldness He calls you to. You are an overcomer in Christ (Rom 8:37), but you won't live like one, unless you have faith in God constantly (Mk 11:22). To walk in the victory God promises, you have to see beyond what you can humanly see...seeing through the eyes of your heart (Eph 1:18)-God's promises. His promises give you the clarity and certainty needed to stay hopeful when there's no hope in sight. Life's unpredictable but God isn't. Keep your hope in Him, not in what you can reason and understand. To walk in victory you have to know the difference between feelings, facts and truth. Feelings and facts change-God's truth doesn't. When CNN reports current facts about job markets, presidential lies and divorce; your feelings might respond in fear, but you must rely on God's truth-He says He will provide all your needs (Phil 4:19). Stand on God's truth, ask Jesus to help you not doubt, but don't try to figure things out and then ask God to bless your plan...He won't do it! He wants you trust in Him with all your heart, to not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight (Pr 3:4-5). God's got the ability to overcome what you're up against...which gives you the capability to walk through it; His able...makes you capable! God planned every day of your life before you were born (Ps 139:15-16); He's reliable and He keeps His promises. He's never overslept or missed a meeting, had a hard time staying awake, been too sick to attend an event, missed a flight, been stuck in the snow, had to borrow money, or been unemployed... He's certain, confident, caring, funny, beyond brilliant -His yoke is light, His joy completes you and He will do abundantly more than you dare ask for (Deut 7:9, Mt 11:28-30, Jn 15:11, Eph 3:20) He can go back or forward in time-He declares the end from the beginning (Isa 46:10). He knows what you need, can give you what you don't have and get you were you need to be...I believe it's safe to say God has your back and you don't need to worry. Know that life is unpredictable, you can't control it, but you can control how you respond to it. No matter what happens in life, it doesn't have the power to determine who you are or what you will become! Don't put your faith in human wisdom...put it in God's power-He's got your back (2 Cor 2:5)! 7/7/13CIFL-LMM
The impossibles you face-are wrapped tightly in God's possibles...
The
impossibles you face are wrapped tightly in God's Possibles-being
incubated for the right time...cared for tenderly in His Hands. Seek the
Kingdom of God above all else-don't lose heart; keep moving forward.
God can't lie- His hope is an anchor for your soul...firm and secure. In
due time & at the appointed season, you will reap...if you don't
give up. Lift your head-God's working on things you can't see; He's
before all things & He holds all things together. What's impossible
for you...is possible with God-Amen! (Heb 6:18-19, Mt 6:33, Gal 6:9, Col

Mistakes, misfortunes & messes...God uses evey one of them!
Mistakes, misfortnes, and messes...God uses every one of them for those who love Him (Rom 8:28). What a relief to know we can boldly approach our Father God anytime-we can talk to Him while in the grocery line or call out to Him in the middle of the night; He always hears us. God is love; Jesus took it all for us (1 Jn 4:8, Rom 4:25). Be confident in God's love and know the mistakes you've made, don't make you a... mistake; the misfortunes imposed on you, don't leave you... misfortunate and the messes you've made, don't make you a...mess up. Remember, God chose you-He planned you before you were in your mother's womb, you are His masterpiece...created to do the good things He planned long ago (Jer 1:4, Eph 2:10). God wants to be with you-to be connected and close. Be real with Him and He will be real with you. God desires for you to love and trust Him with all your heart so He can guide you in the life He gave you (Pr 3:5-6). He wants you to come to Him and rest, knowing He's in control-He offers a peace that surpasses all understanding, He will never leave you...you will hear a voice behind you say, "this is the way-walk in it" (Mt 11:28-30, Phil 4:7, Deut 31:6, Isa 30:21). Don't allow any mistake, misfortune, or mess to get in the way of your relationship with God-He's bigger than anything that you've done or that's been done to you. He turns everything around for His glory, but you must release the things you're facing-He won't force you. He will answer and deliver you from all your fears. Those who look to Him are radiant-their faces are never covered with shame (Ps 34:4-6). Run to Him-He loves you! 7/6/13CIFL-LMM
Irritation...an opportunity to mature
Every time you find yourself irritated with another...you have an opportunity to spiritually mature. Fools show annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult. (Pr 12:16) 6/1/12CIFL-LMM
When you're treated harsh & unfair...
When someone says harsh words to you or treats you in an unfair way-it's not because something is wrong with you; it's because...something is wrong with them. They have a mean spirit-don't let what's going on with them...determine who you are. Release them and the offense to Jesus (Lk 6:27). Remember you are valued by God...nothing can take His love from you-ever (Rom 8:37-39)! 11/23/12CIFL-LMM

How we treat others...
How we treat people who have no influence or say in our life...reveals our true character. (Matt 7:20) 1/19/13CIFL-LMM
Jesus wants to show you new things...
Jesus wants to show you new things...they're
springing forth-can you see? Are you connecting with Jesus daily; being
honest with your
feelings; do you say what you think He wants to hear and avoid asking
what's on your heart; do you fear He might answer in a way that would
make you uncomfortable; do you trust Him...really trust Him? Jesus wants
to show you new things for a new season but you must get real with
Him-then get ready (Isa 43:19). He wants you to be a light (Mt
5:16). Make sure you're
spiritually stretching and strengthening yourself-continually stepping
out of your comfort zone-otherwise, you can't develop. Seeing through
His
eyes and believing His Word-especially when things are crumbling around
you (2 Cor 5:7). Pressing back when you're pressed on and pushing
forward when you'd rather give up (James 1:2-8). Staying on course when
you're tired and weary, but above
all keep your eyes on the prize; focus on Jesus (Heb 12:2). You are
purposed...created to carry out the good plans God made long ago (Eph
2:10). Be determined to carry His love everywhere you go-be His light
(Mt 5:16). Don't forgo the life Jesus died to give you (John 10:10).
Jesus wants to show you new things-they're springing forth...can you
see? Roads that were closed are now open-what was down has been lifted;
gates are open, obstacles are moved aside, narrow has become wide, the
fog has lifted, crooked is straight, wrong is made right, long made
short, peace replacing chaos, light is shining in dark areas,
hopelessness has turned into hope...and I have made a way! Will you
follow Jesus into your new season? You don't have to know how He will do
new things to believe...He will do new things. Are you ready?

Facing the truth...
Facing
the truth of where you are right now...is the stepping stone that leads
to the next place God wants to take you. (Jn8:31-32) 12/27/12CIfL-LMM
A genuine apology...
A genuine apology of "I'm sorry"
is followed by a behavior change-if not... you're checking the box to
look the part...but not do the part. (Luke 3:8) 8/11/12CIFL-LMM
Get real-get connected...
Get real-get connected. When we get real about what we're
experiencing-we can get real about who we are and connect
with others. We often deny or hide what we're experiencing for fear of
looking un-Christian; so we speak Christian-ese to give the right
answer...this only leads to disconnect and denial of what's really
happening in our heart. We will even dismiss and
deny our feelings with God and speak Christian-ese with Him! When I have
ugly thoughts about someone, I ask God for help. I'll say, "I don't
want to feel this way toward this person,
but I do, help me understand what's going on in me." God gives wisdom
generously and without finding fault...but if you don't ask, He won't
force it on you. Often, people will ask for forgiveness from God or
another person, but they have
no revelation of why they did what they did...the acknowledgement is
necessary and the apology is often sincere, but without understanding, the behavior repeats itself. Until the root of the
behavior is dealt with...the behavior continues to return. Get real
with
God-it's the catalyst necessary to work through your feelings-ask God
to search your heart and give you revelation so you won't continue to
repeat the same situation over and over. Where the Spirit of the Lord
is,
there is freedom. Next, share with a trusted friend; allowing another to
see your weaknesses will actually strengthen you and the relationship.
It's vulnerable to expose your heart, but there's power when you
experience the other person accepting-all of you. You discover, all of you is loved and
valued...even with imperfections. Knowing you don't have to be
perfect to be loved is critical for overcoming
adversity in daily living. If a person connects looking right to being
right-they qualify being loved means doing right, so if they're not
doing right, they're not loved! We're are flawed and God knows it...so
He gives us His grace to make us right and we can't qualify for
something that's been given to us for free. God's love never changes-He
loves us the same when we mess up or when we don't mess up. Our
imperfections connect with others because they're built on a foundation
of honesty. Anything you try to control will inevitably control you. I
pray you will experience the freedom our Father offers to
each of us...to become the you He created and called you to be. Get
real...get connected! (Ps 139:23-24, James 1:2-8, 2 Cor 3:17, Eph 2:10, 2 Cor 12:10) 9/2012CIFL-LMM
When former batttles return...
Some mornings as soon as you wake up, you
realize... you feel beat up. You begin to recall the events from the day
before-the news you received that knocked the wind out of you; you're
depleted and weary and you just got out of bed! A former situation you
thought was resolved has returned...just thinking about it floods you with
exhaustion. You didn't see it coming-out of no
where it side swiped you. When it hit, you immediately took it to Jesus, but you're
feeling more drained than you believe you should be. Listen closely, former battles are more exhausting than new ones because former battles
bring the recall of weariness with them-triggering all the emotions that you
had to fight through. Intellectually and spiritually you know Jesus walked you
through the former battle, but the recall of emotions begin to flood your mind and press on your chest. Be cognizant
of the former emotions flooding you or the enemy will pull you into his slippery pit and trap you.
Discouragement and anger will try and talk you into giving up-which is exactly what the enemy
wants you to do. It's critical you see what you're up against through Jesus' ability. Your vision is obscured because you see through your former emotions of fatigue, hurt, aggravation and anger. Acknowledge what you're feeling then give these emotions to Jesus. Emotions left unattended will deplete you-Jesus knows the recall itself is tiring for you.
But you've got to remember just as Jesus walked you through before...He
will walk you through now. You will be tempted to say you won't deal
with it, but then you subject yourself to it-putting yourself at the
mercy of the battle verses at the grace of Jesus. Stand on God's promises-Jesus' grace is all you need; His power works best in your
weakness. Acknowledge your weaknesses so the power of Christ can work
through you. Get focused, get a grip, get back up and get your eyes on
Jesus; the battle's won, it's
done...it's over-Jesus took it all!
Let this truth encourage you when you feel like you can't go through the
same situation again. Rely on Jesus, He's your Helper, Strong Tower,
Deliverer, Rock, Refuge, Strength, Shield, Salvation and
Stronghold-everything you need to get through this battle again (Ps
18:2). If God's for you-who can be against you(Rom 8:31)? Let your faith
rest not on human wisdom...but on God's power (1 Cor 2:5)! God will
lift you out of this slimy pit, mud and mire-giving you a firm place to
stand (Ps 40:2). With God's help you can advance against a troop and
scale a wall (Ps 18:29). When former battles return, expect God to get
you through... His grace and peace is with you (Eph 1:2)! 7/4/13CIFL-LMM

Debating God's truth...does not change His truth
Debating God's truth does not change His
truth. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, Jesus
immediately came to live in you. He goes where you go,
He stays where you stay-He's alive in you! His power is in you to
handle
any impossible situation you face. Jesus said, "I have
told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and
confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress
and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be
confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have
overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have
conquered it for you]." This scripture is a truth, a promise of God;
whether you choose to believe it or not...does not make it any less
true. God's promises are available to anyone who believes in Him-He
does not discriminate. Each person that invites Jesus to live in them,
has access to His promises...to His power. Many Christians become very
confused when they consider whether or not they believe all of His Word,
or not.
God's Word does not lie. Many want to debate His Word as if His Word is
open for modifications... God's Word will not change-He keeps His
promises. Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and obey it!
Believing God is a choice...not a feeling. Christians must
choose to believe, then choose to access what Jesus makes available to
them...His promises and His power. "I have deprived it of the power to
harm you and have conquered it for you" This is a promise-choosing to
believe gives access to the promise. Choose to believe what Jesus has
promised you-He lives in you friend, don't ponder, debate and
speculate...you loose ground and become confused. Choose to
believe...it's your access to His promises and the power living in you.
He's the way, the truth, and the life...know His truth and be set free!
Experience Jesus now, you're grafted into Him...He lives in you. He
knows
what you're facing this very second, choose to believe
He's deprived it of power to harm you and has conquered it for you.
Don't debate...choose to believe-it's the access to God's promises!

Hope & Help must be rooted in the love of Jesus...
Human
hope & help is hopeless & helpless...unless it's rooted in the
love of Jesus! Know the truth & the truth will set you free
(Jn8:32). 7/3/13CIFL-LMM
The edge of freedom...
God takes us to an edge we'd never go to on our own. It's where we are
meant to jump...into His arms. To know Him and be known by Him-having
faith in Him to provide everything we need (Eph 3:20). We're all called to the
edge-not all jump. It's the edge of freedom...total surrender-trading our plans for the plans of our Father. Where the Spirit of the Lord is...there is freedom (2 Cor 3:17). God has good plans for us-to prosper us and not to harm us...giving us a hope and a future. These are God's promises...those who trust in Him will know Him and His promises. Will you trust Him? 7/3/13CIFL-LMM

God's figured this complicated life out for us...
What a relief to know we don't have to figure
this complicated life out-God's done that for us. We can be certain that
what happens to us...doesn't define our identity or determine our
destiny. Thanks be to God, Who always leads us to triumph in Christ! (2
Cor 2:14)! God's got good plans for you (Jer 29:11). Will you trust
Him? 7/2/13CIFL-LMM
What's your Jordan...?
What's
your Jordan...? The Jordan River had to be crossed to enjoy &
experience the Promise Land. It had been 40 years...God gave specific
instructions for the crossing. Has God given you specific instructions
to cross your Jordan? You know in your heart it's what you're suppose to
do. You reason-it's not a good time ...the water level is at its
highest with a dangerous current & now you're doubting
if you even heard God correctly. You're certain all the preparations
have led to now; it's harvest season...the time to reap what you've
sown. You look across the Jordan & see where God wants you to be-He
said it's yours...you must posses it. All your fears are accurate; you
can't do this, but God can-He's got the able; He needs available. God
doesn't amuse Himself by wringing you out to see how tough you are; He
wrings the "I" out of you to make room for Him...to bring His plans to
fruition through you. The only way you're are going to cross your Jordan
is through His strength. Stop wasting time on, if you can or can't-you
can't, but God will...if you will let Him. But you won't know He
will...until you step in the Jordan. When you step in, the waters will
roll back & the ground will be dry; God told the Israelites to keep a
distance from the ark of the covenant, so they could see the way to
go...He knew they had not not passed this way before. God's tenderness
is so evident; He knows the things He asks of us are impossible & He
knows we want to please Him-that we struggle with fear, but if we will
trust Him...He will go before us & make a way. No one can convince
you to trust God-the more bold steps you take...the more trust you gain
& the more your relationship deepens. I pray you will cross your
Jordan & fulfill the plans God has for you. Your life will be so
full & complete; actually ridiculously content, if you will trust
God to lead you...will you? (Gal 6:9, Josh 3:4, Jer 29:11, Pr 3:5-6)

Jesus is calling...will you answer?
Jesus is calling...will you answer? He calls for every person to come
after Him-He wants to be your Guide. Few follow for fear of leaving
their
familiar-sadly, forfeiting the future God planned for them. Following
Jesus requires going against norms, conventional ways and popular vote.
God likes to create shock value to confound those who think
they are wise. He will ask you to carry out ridiculous, radical and
impossible tasks so there's no doubt it's Him, but He likes to show He
can do anything He pleases. He laughs
as the naysayers stare with their mouths wide open. Following Jesus
brings isolation, resistance and ridicule from many, but you must go
through the fire to know He's your source...supplying you
with the all you need to accomplish the mission. Be confident in His
ability flowing through you-the work He began in you...He will continue
continue to perfect in you up until the day of His return! You know in
your mind what God's asked of you is impossible-that's
why you have to completely rely on His ability. Opposition, doubt and
discouragement will come at you daily, wanting you to justify your
cause. Don't engage-it's a ploy to create confusion and distract you
from hearing the Holy Spirit. Focus and listen-move forward even when
you see no evidence. Your evidence is Who you believe in-the words
spoken to your heart by your Father God...hold these words tightly-cling
to them when you're discouraged and weary! God put this call in you to
use you...not prove you-He will make your
righteousness shine like the dawn and the justice of your cause like the
noonday sun! Jesus is calling...will you answer? (Mt 4:19, Phil 1:6, 1
Cor 1:27, Lk 18:27, Eph 3:20, Ps

Doubt's agenda is to steal, lie & torment you...
Doubt's agenda is to
steal your dreams, lie about God's promises & torment your
mind. He poses as being concerned, but he speaks partial truth...omitting parts-so it's deception. He begins questioning dreams God has put in your heart...are you sure you heard God
correctly-you don't want to say something that's not true or make up
things do you? Then he moves on to your
understanding of scripture...yes, God promises good plans for us &
gives us the desires of our heart, but maybe you're wanting too
much-maybe you're being selfish? Finally, he has you to
examine your life as a whole-have you really made a difference ...is God
pleased with you, or have you used up your chances? Then He
questions what you believe about your loved ones-those who reject Him? You've
been praying for a long time-no changes in sight; in fact, things are
worse. You conclude...your situation is impossible! This is a partial
truth, doubt omitted the other part-remember, he deceives in this way.
The complete truth is...with men this is impossible but...all things are
possible with God! So yes, your situation is impossible for you
but...all things are possible with God (Matt19:26). Write this
scripture down-post it in several places where you can see it; then say
it aloud throughout the day. It's a promise to whatever you are facing.
Be on guard for the partial truths that will come at you daily; they're
lies by omission-deliberately leaving out important parts of the truth
to deceive you. Break-up with doubt today friend. And remember, with
men this is impossible but all things are possible with God...that's the
complete truth!

Words of truth & encouragement...from God
Listen closely, I've got it...you didn't miss anything, I have no
barriers to providing for you-My love transcends time, the past, present
and future have no limits on Me...I own time. Don't drown yourself in
fear's lies or try to figure conflicts out that are beyond you-the mind
of the flesh leads to death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is
life and peace. Look at this world through My Word; it's a lamp to your
feet and a light to your path. My Word can't be separated from Me...to
profess to be a Christian but think like the world will mess you
up-really. Accept Me, My Word, renew your mind with it-then you will
hear My voice. You do know I've ordered every step of yours, right? You
were planned by me-I formed you in your mother's womb...don't ever let
anyone tell you that you were not planned or you don't have a purpose.
You are purposed by Me-you don't have to feel this to believe this...but
as you believe it-you will feel it. Know this, I've always loved you,
but I desire for you to love Me too. I want to spend time with you every
day-I want a meaningful relationship with you. Even though I never
leave you, sometimes you forget this, call out to Me-anytime, anywhere,
