Vulnerability...

Vulnerability; taking the risk to be known by others. Exposing the raw parts of your soul...mistakes, desires, fears, dreams, struggles & a hope for the future. It's a scary, heart pounding in the chest, battle of your mind & spirit struggle; you know once the words are spoken, they can't be retrieved. You rise up in the courage & strength of your Father's love & confront the shame that bound you for so many years. The words that shame threatened you with are now... the same words that set you free. You exposed them- the "what if" can no longer hold you a captive-what you bring in the light...loses its power!

Shame makes you feel wrong for the wrong that was done to you...it's a warped ploy of the enemy putting a false sense of responsibility on you. Don't take the bait-it cheats you out of others knowing & accepting all of you. You present what you believe will be accepted for fear others would lose respect if they knew all of you. This results in you feeling like a fake & being empty inside because you're unable to authentically connect.

God truth says where the Spirit of the Lord is...there is freedom-if you're saved-you're free! God has accepted & approved every part of you-this is His truth but you won't feel it until you begin to walk it out with others who will accept all of you like God does. See yourself as God sees you-with His arms wide open & waiting to love you into His likeness. He wants to encourage & soothe you with His love- giving you a hope & a future!

Renew your mind with His promises...His truth stomps out the lies of shame! God's love doesn't increase or decrease according to your obedience, He doesn't get angry & take His love back, He doesn't grow tired of you...no, no, no! He loves all of you all of the time, until...for all of forever-because His Spirit has sealed you! Be vulnerable, take a risk & let others know you; some won't accept you-it's okay, this happens whether you're being vulnerable or not. What matters is God not only accepts you...He approves all of you. It's His approval that will catapult you out of the pit of shame. His love knocks down the things that you use to hold you back. When the revelation of God floods you...

When the revelation of God's love floods your heart, spirit, & mind-you will know you're approved, valued & worthy of being loved. Knowing you're loved because of Who you belong to...not what you do. That awkward feeling of being in the way is gone-replaced with revelation...you matter. God whispers to your spirit...you've got what it takes-He's proud of you & delights in you. His love allows you to enjoy being you...no longer an aching need to prove yourself. Knowing your value & worth isn't in what you do or don't do or what you've done or haven't done-it's in who you are...a child of God. No longer living in the past or anxious about the future. God's love allows you trust again, putting your hope in Him, because He will never leave you. I can't do life without Jesus...

I can't do life without Jesus...He helps me in everything I do (Jn 15:5)! Thank you Jesus I don't have to rely on my strength to deal with the adversity I face daily, be burdened with the the impossibles I see or have to rely on what hope I can come up with in a hopeless situation. Jesus has overcome this world & every impossible in it-His hope holds on for me when I can't (Jn 16:33, Mk 10:27, Heb 6:19)!

No devil in hell can steal, kill or destroy what Jesus died to give me...unless I let him (Jn 10:10). God's given me authority over the enemy; this is a truth, not a feeling-so I must appropriate what I know, not what I feel (Lk 10:19). I don't have the power to change others, but the Holy Spirit does-I will exercise my privilege of prayer & partner with my Father, the Creator of everything I see & don't see (Col 1:17).

I will stand on God's Word-regardless of how done or dead a situation looks-for with God nothing is impossible (Lk 1:37)! I will ask Jesus daily to help me believe when the path ahead of me is dim-relying on His Word as a lamp to my feet & a light to my path (Ps 119:105); I can do all the things God's called me to do-He strengthens me (Phil 4:13). My hope is in Him all day long (Ps 25:5); seriously, like I can add to what Jesus did on the cross for me (1 Pet 3:18)?

Jesus took it all for me...regrets of the past, fears in the present & every unknown I will face in the future- if He's for me, who can be against me (Rom 8:31)? His strength is perfected in my weaknesses (2 Cor 12:9), my faith in His power, not man's wisdom (1 Cor 5:2)! I can't do life without Jesus...He helps me in everything I do. Jesus offers the ride of a lifetime...to all who will let Him drive!

Many get excited about following Jesus but bring their old ways of thinking with them so not much changes & they become disappointed. To live the abundant life Jesus promises (Jn 10:10), you have to renew your mind constantly with His truth (Rom 12:2), it will set you free (Jn 10:10)! Every time you come to your end-don't fret...your end is where Jesus begins (2 Cor 12:9). This is the sweet spot-where life is lived as God planned for all who believe in Him (Eph 2:10, Jn 6:29). 

Jesus offers the ride of a lifetime to all who will let Him drive (Eph 3:20)! He's not missed one tiny detail, He's included every mistake you've made (past, present & future), every wrong done to you & all your weaknesses...He even gives you the desire & power to obey Him (Phil 2:13)! Your part is to put your faith in Him constantly (Mk 11:22). When you're ready to give the first of your last, believe without seeing & risk leaving your comfort zone...then buckle up baby-Jesus drives really fast & you're going places! Riding with Jesus doesn't exempt you from heartaches & hardships, but He promises to deliver you from each one (Pr 34:19). Know that doubt is always lurking around, waiting to steal the destiny God's promised you (1 Pet 5:6-7). Don't allow these difficult & unknown seasons to interfere with your ride-God is faithful & gives you the ability to endure & a way out...every time (1 Cor 10:13)! Many leave the ride at this point, opting to believe what they feel instead of...believe what they know. 

Listen closely, faith only grows in unknown & unfamiliar places-you don't have to know how God will carry out what He's promised to you...to choose to believe what He's promised you! Who told you those lies?

Have your children ever come home from school upset and crying because another child made a hurtful comment to them or said mean and untrue things about them to others? The first thing we do as a loving parent is ask, "who told you that?" Then we hug them and look them directly in the eyes and tell them not to believe the lies they were told. We remind them of who they are, their value as a child of God and that another person does not determine their worth. We replace their deception...with our truth.

Are you believing the lies the world is telling you-that you missed your chance, you're too old, it's too late for you to fulfill your dreams, you don't matter, you have nothing to contribute, you will never overcome your past? Go to our Father with these lies and He will ask you, "who told you that?" In Col 2:8 Paul clearly states, "see to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy which depends on human traditions and basic principles of this world rather than Christ." God will replace the deception you're believing with His Truth...which trumps all the fleeting opinions of the world! Your part, continually (all the time throughout the day) renew your mind with His truth so that you are transformed to His will for you, and not conformed to what the world says you are (Rom 12:2). When former battles return...

Some mornings as soon as you wake up, you realize...you feel beat up. You begin to recall the events from the day before- the news that knocked the wind out of you. You're emotionally depleted,  physically tired & spiritually weary due to a former situation that you've dealt with has returned! Just the thought of it floods your body with exhaustion. You thought it was behind you, then out nowhere it side swiped you. You took it to Jesus, but you're feeling more drained than you believe you should be. 

Listen closely, although you released the battle to the Lord and forgave all involved, it's emotionally draining to have to do it again because old emotions are dug up and giving your mind a play by play of all that you went through before! You know Jesus walked you through the battle & you know He will walk you through again, but it doesn't make the battle any less exhausting. You will be tempted to say you won't deal with it, but this puts you at the mercy of the battle verses at the grace of Jesus. 

Stand on the promise-Jesus has gone before you; His power works best in your weakness. Acknowledge your weaknesses so the power of Christ can work through you. Get focused, get a grip, get back up & get your eyes on Jesus; the battle's won, it's done...it's over-Jesus took it all! Let this truth encourage you when you feel like you can't go through the same situation again. Rely on Jesus, He's your Helper, Strong Tower, Deliverer, Rock, Refuge, Strength, Shield, Salvation and Stronghold-everything you need to get through this battle again (Ps 18:2). If God's for you-who can be against you(Rom 8:31)? Let your faith rest not on human wisdom...but on God's power (1 Cor 2:5)! God will lift you out of this slimy pit, mud & mire-giving you a firm place to stand (Ps 40:2). With God's help you can advance against a troop & scale a wall (Ps 18:29). When you become desperate...you lose perspective!

When you become desperate...you lose perspective. Losing perspective leads to impulsive decisions & often choices you regret. If you try to take the burdens life offers you...you will become desperate. Desperation leads to the door of hopelessness every time. Jesus tells us He's taken all the troubles & in Him, we can have peace-He's overcome the world. When facing burdens you must immediately defer to God's Word for hope. God's hope anchors your soul-firm & secure giving you a peace that transcends all understanding. Be prepared for your mind to go into a natural processing mode-wanting to know how you will handle the impossible you're facing. Remember, God gave us our mind & we're to use it, but it must be calibrated to the Word. Deferring to God's truth in situations where you see no way out seems irrational in your mind & that's because it is. Your mind can't comprehend how God will make the impossible you're facing work out-humanly speaking it's impossible, but with God, everything's possible. God's got our best interest in mind...even when our life is crumbling around us. Throughout scripture, the people who believed God in the impossible situations they faced, where the same ones who witnessed His miraculous provisions. Don't you know Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego were ready to meet the Lord when they were thrown into the fiery furnace. Still, they stood firm, believing God. They didn't know how God would provide for them, but they held onto His truth...He would provide for them. When you set your mind in advance to believe God will provide everything you need in every situation...you've made a bridge that will walk you out of every burden you will ever face. That bridge is named...Jesus! With Jesus you can do all things-He will strengthen you. This mindset keeps you focused on Jesus as your bridge & keeps desperation from flooding you. The burden remains, but you're not responsible to resolve it-it's not on you...it's in Jesus' hands. You move ahead in what you know to do-which will seem crazy in the natural. This may lead you right into the fiery furnace-if so, know Jesus is with you & He will never leave you. Most burdens require us to walk into the fire to stand on what we say we believe-this is how we build our faith. Nobody wants to walk in the fire, but after we walk out...we know Jesus more! We know what we believe & no devil in hell can ever snatch it from us! And each fire brings a greater revelation of our powerful, mighty & sweet Jesus. The more we know Him...the more we know our purpose & that He approves us. What to do while...waiting on God???

Are you in a wait season? Did you think you would be through it by now? Do you find yourself a little anxious & wondering when God's going to make things normal again?

First, you have to let go of your idea of normal-if not you will forgo the destiny God's planned for you. Next, you have to decide if you believe God; He promises two outcomes for every trial-He will either remove it or bring you through it. But if you're waiting on the outcome of "when" before you enjoy your life "now," you're in for one long miserable ride.

God promises to bring us through every trial & do exceedingly & abundantly more than we can imagine, but we'll miss His provisions if...we're focused on the resolution of the outcome verses relying on Him during the outcome.

Focusing on the resolution keeps us in an emotional limbo-we're forever waiting for...tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes-we have to be purposed in relying on God today. As we seek God's hope for today, He gives us a supernatural ability to go through the season full of hope while we're pushing back on the adversity that wants to kill us emotionally. This is how we build our trust muscles & learn to persevere; perseverance builds character & character builds hope! This wait season will overflow with God's hope if we trust Him!

Jesus came to give us an abundant life-don't let the enemy steal, kill & destroy it by forfeiting the hope God offers you daily. Don't deceive yourself...

Rise up...you're equipped & purposed

Rise up...you're equipped & purposed by God to carry out His plans you through you. Don't get stuck in your limited thinking of practical, logical & attainable; you wouldn't need God if it was within your ability. God wants you to take bold steps into the impossible, then He will begin to supply what you need along the way. He will never be late, but rarely early...this is so your "trust muscles" can be developed & made strong for the battles ahead like doubt, fatigue, disappointment, rejection & resistance!

Don't worry about looking ridiculous; some will support you, others won't & many will criticize. You have no time to figure out what others are thinking; it will distract you. Plus, others don't order your steps-God does. Anytime someone has the guts to step out critics will appear. It's easy to be a Monday morning quarterback...it takes guts to be bold & follow what God has put on your heart; your faithfulness will be rewarded! Keep moving ahead with your eyes on Jesus-the Holy Spirit will tell you if you miss it...do you trust Him to tell you? God knew the adversity you would encounter, the mistakes you would make & the pain & hurt you'd experience along the way, but He worked it all in! He sent Jesus ahead of you to make a way & He's overcome every obstacle! Don't be anxious; He holds everything together in His hands, His Word is a Lamp to your feet & a light to your path!

God is with you...right now

God is with you...right now. Know, think on & remind yourself of this truth constantly. You are never alone-God goes before you & follows behind you with His hand of blessing on you. Don't turn your back on the privilege of His Presence that lives in you or the supernatural power of speaking His Word. 

If you seek God, He meets you where you are-His power is perfected in your weakness. If you're having trouble concentrating-He gives you clarity, if you're grieving-He holds you tight, if you're anxious-He gives your mind peace. God promises to bring you through every trial-there's no psychiatric or medical condition that can separate you from His provisions, no hurt that's too big for Him to heal or request that's too small for Him to listen to. His love heals you & His hope holds on for you. Remain in Him & He will remain in you-enabling His power to flow through you to overcome whatever you're facing. God's hands aren't tied because of a struggling economy, frozen job market or real estate downturn-He makes a way in the wilderness, pours rivers in the desert & makes dry brittle bones come alive! He's mighty to save & bring back to life dead & broken relationships that are laid before Him!

Despair...

Despair results when the mind can't see a human solution to trials; you feel trapped because...you are. But thanks be to God you can run to Him-His hope brings relief during the reality of despair. This isn't a "cross your fingers" kind of worldly hope or just hope you can "hold on" hope. It's God's hope & it's full of power...it raised Jesus from the dead & it can pull you out from under the despair you're facing! Are you anchored...in the Word?

Are you anchored in the Word...so when the storms hit, you're not blown away & tossed about? You have to renew your mind with God's Word to live the saved life you profess-your spirit is saved at salvation...your mind isn't. You won't be more than a conqueror & the joy of the Lord won't be your strength unless you renew your mind.

Every day negative thoughts, potential disasters & feelings of not having what you need to be successful are waiting to chip away at your faith-wanting to steal God's promises from you. Daily you must renew your mind with His promises-meditate on His Word, hold tight to it & put your eyes on it; then when the storms come through...you're anchored. God's Word is your guaranteed security-His hope anchors you, but you must grab onto it...so you're not pulled under. Don't confuse your feelings with God's truth.

Some days, I don't feel like a conqueror-I feel afraid, awkward & anxious, but God says I'm more than a conqueror...so I agree with Him even though I don't feel like it. I remind myself constantly of His promises-I say them over & over. I write them on index cards & post them on my phone-keeping His Word in my heart & close to reach so my eyes can read His truth. Eventually, break through comes, not because I'm strong, but because God's strong in me-His strength made perfect in my weakness.

Anchor yourself before the storms of life hit-making daily deposits of the Word in your spirit, so you're ready & won't be blown off course. If you mess up, get back up & start over-it's better than walking an uncertain directionless life that just blows with the storms. Release the memories...

Release the memories that bind & call out discouragement-the mean & hurtful things said & done to you-the voices you play over & over in your head. Whatever you're holding onto...release & hand it to Jesus; allow Him to heal the broken parts of your heart with His love. Only Jesus can heal your wounds & give back to you what was taken or given away. He will take your hurt, grief & emptiness & give you His love, hope & joy. His truth sets you free & will untangle you from all the lies you've believed about you for so many years. God's truth says you're complete in His love, He is mighty to save you, delights in you & will soothe you with His love.

God's love won't feel comfortable at first-you're guarded because you've been hurt so many times. The times you took a risk & trusted someone they ended up hurting you. I know it's scary to trust God, I've been where you are but I'll tell you it's the greatest risk I've ever taken & His love completely healed & changed my life…it will yours too. It's your decision, God will never force you like other have.

Lift your head & look up-your Father is smiling; He desires for you to know how much He loves you. God's love isn't measured by what you've done-good or bad; He loves you because it's what He does...God is love. If you receive His love, the Holy Spirit will overflow you with hope-a joy & peace that will transform you & heal your wounded spirit. The more you receive God's love & renew your mind with His Word-the more your mind, heart & spirit are lined up with His truth allowing you to walk in the confidence of who He says you are...His masterpiece! Leaving the Christian Comfort Zone...

Until you're willing to leave the Christian Comfort Zone you will not know that God's got all your problems covered. His Word is your confidence-everything you need is found in His Word. You can be sure of what you hope for & certain of what you don't see-walking with confidence & moving forward into the unknown because God's made a way. You don't have to know the details-God's worked those out too, but you have to decide if you believe Him. You don't even have to prove your worth-Jesus did that for you when He died on the cross…your value is found in Him-exclusively. God reigns over what we see & don't see & He holds it all together in His mighty hands. There's nothing you're up against that He's not already taken care of. Take a deep breath & rest in Him. Jesus will completely heal you...

Many don't want to think about the loved one or trusted person that hurt them...because really, it makes the hurt feel even worse-it's insult to injury. But until all of the hurt is brought into the light...complete healing won't happen & moving forward is impossible. Minimizing & ignoring hurt keeps the view of the present obscured because thoughts & actions operate from the perspective of the past pain. God promises us victory...

God promises us victory through His Word…His truth will set us free & literally transform our life! Our part is to renew our mind with His Word, if not, we'll drift into worldly thinking & living-forfeiting the victory promised. Our conscience has to be calibrated to the Word, purposely lined up or it will do what it believes is right; a man's mind seems right to Him, but leads to death. It's a subtle reasoning process that leads one thought at a time into deception; the intent isn't to reject God's truth, but a mind not submitted to the Word will naturally reject His truth. 

That's why we hear about Christians doing shocking things like having affairs, embezzling money or other sexual indiscretions, etc-they profess the Word with their mouth but their mind isn't being lined up with the Word. You might not be doing these things but you will do things that oppose God's Word if you're not calibrating your conscience to His truth. It takes just a few thoughts before you're entertaining things that oppose scripture. Bottom line…any opposition to God's Word cheats you out of His promises. 

The Word is counter intuitive to our mind-we have to be purposed in submitting it to God's truth. We don't naturally want to forgive those who've harmed us, love somebody who's unloving, give when our means are limited or believe before we see, etc. We must seek the Word constantly to stay on course-thoughts that don't line up have to be tossed out…immediately. Opposing thoughts allowed to linger become part of your thinking which lead to your actions which oppose God's goods plans for your life. Beleiving when it seems crazy to do so!

Believing when it seems crazy to do so…when all hope is gone, we can hope in our Father God to make a way because He says so! He can't lie, if He says it's true, then it is! But this kind of believing doesn't just happen nor does it come with time or age…it comes with moving forward & believing God & putting your hope in Him even when despair surrounds you. But it doesn't stop there-it's continuing to stand on the Word when days come & go & still no change is in sight, doing what's right when wrong things are happening to you, when you pour out everything in you & still no change...you still believe God will make a way!

These seasons that deplete us are the same ones that catapult us into the next season God's calling us to. "And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised. "After" is the operative word-it's after you hope & believe over & over & again & again-day in & day out with no changes in sight. Empty yourself of hurt-let Jesus have it...purging every last drop. Emotions will flood you-it's all those years of denying your needs, pushing back tears & trying to prove you were good enough. This is grief... the recognition of what was lost, stolen or never given to you. Grief validates what you experienced...it says you matter & what happened to you was wrong. Jesus is the door to everything you need...will you let Him in?

Until you enter into an intimate relationship with Jesus & give Him complete access to your heart…you will forever be searching but never find what you are looking for in life. Many spend a lifetime seeking answers outside of themselves only to find out way late or tragically never at all, that the answer is found on the inside of them. On the inside of every person is a door to Jesus…He's the way, truth & life-He has every answer to everything a person needs & more. Jesus gives us access to the Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby-the Holy Spirit; Whom the Father sends in His name-in His place to act on His behalf & teach us all things. The Holy Spirit will cause you to recall, remind & bring to your remembrance everything you need.

When you open the door to Jesus, He gives you His Spirit & He will dwell in you & you in Him. A life separate from Him is like a branch broken off from the very vine it relies on for nourishment to produce fruit…apart from the vine it will wither & die. Like the branch we can't bear the fruit we are destined to produce, much less live…we must vitally united to the Vine, without Him we will wither & die.  Every answer you will ever need is found on the inside of you-it's the door to Jesus…will you let Him in? This journey is not to discourage you...it's to equip you! You can climb the mountain if you completely rely on God's strength-He has gone before you & made a path. You can't see it from where you're standing; you must begin the climb-trust God. Recall what He whispered to your heart-this will give you hope. 

While climbing, doubt will question your direction; at different points the path appears to stop, but it's a mirage in your mind...playing tricks on you. Just keep moving & stay focused-God's with you, He's your ever present help. Don't entertain doubt-it leads to fatigue & confusion. The Holy Spirit's behind you-watching your steps & will call out to you if you get off the path.

Many bends appears to lead to dead ends at first glance, but look again they're not. Most lose direction at this point because they're convinced they've missed God. They turn around reasoning it's an end & they go back down the mountain feeling defeated, embarrassed & foolish. They believe they missed God; a barrage of doubt paralyzes their confidence. But what they don't know is what they thought was an end was actually another bend in the path. The angle of the bend skewed their ability to see around the corner. Keep moving-there's more around the bend. God planned this journey for you long ago & He will lead you on it. He goes before you & follows behind you with His Hand of blessing on you. God is your hope...always!

Throughout scripture, the people who put their hope in God while going through impossible trials were the same ones who witnessed His miraculous provisions in their lives. Don't you know Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego were ready to meet the Lord when they were thrown into the fire-still they stood firm & put their hope in Him instead of the trial they were facing. They didn't know how God would provide- but they chose to believe He would.

Setting your mind in advance that your hope is in God gives you a way out of every trial. With God you can do all things He strengthens you to do. This mindset keeps you focused on God as your source of hope verses the outcome of the trial you're facing. You acknowledge the reality of what you're facing-it's impossible, but your hope is in God, not the outcome of the trial. This may lead you right into the fire; then you will have to choose if you will stand on God's hope-that He's with you & will never leave you.

Most trials require us to walk into the fire & stand on what we profess to believe-this is the only way for us to know that God never leaves us. None of us ever want to go in the fire, but when we do...we come out with such a certainty of God's love like never before! We know what we believe & no devil in hell can ever snatch it from us! Each fire brings greater revelation of God's hope & provisions. The more we know God-the more we know our purpose & His love. We're confident nothing can ever separate us from Him & He has good plans for us. Will you go in the fire when faced with it ...so you will know with confidence His hope provides for you? Some trials are intended to kill you...

Some trials in life are intended to kill you-the darkness imposed is to steal your hope & destroy any plans of a future. The hurt in your heart is too much to bear & the spinning of your mind will push you to the edge & take you under unless you...believe then breathe & then do it again. You can't overcome these kind of trials, don't even try-the weight of them will kill you. But Jesus can take them for you, He will show up in the middle of the emotional insanity that's trying to steal your hope & destroy your future.

I know from experience, I would have been declared emotionally dead if I had not clung to the love of Jesus during trials like these. I would of been the walking dead, but the love of Jesus revived, saved & gave me His hope where I had none! Whatever is trying to steal, kill or destroy you...the love of Jesus will revive & save you! His hope holds on when you can't! The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous-His ears attentive to their cry. They cry out & He hears them-He delivers them from all their troubles. He's close to the brokenhearted & He saves those who are crushed in spirit!

Believe then breathe & then do it again. Don't try to figure out the insanity of your situation...it will lead you to an abyss of hopelessness in your heart & mind. Reposition yourself & believe in Him-Jesus' love & hope will sustain you. You don't have to know how He will deliver to believe... He will deliver! Will you let the love of Jesus help you? A road trip with Jesus...

A road trip with Jesus...I had no idea it would go this long-Jesus never gave me a timeline & I didn't start out with one; I just thought I would be back to my regular routine by now. Jesus has taught me so much on this trip, for starters, He's funny-you know He gave us laughter & the concept of humor-we're made to laugh a lot. He's shown me how to enjoy the ride while on the way to where I'm going. I've always been a list maker & get it done kind of girl, but this road trip has taught me how to make time for the scenery & relationships along the way verses just getting to my destination. I've most cherished the intimate heart to heart talks-Jesus will sit up all night talking & listening. Every day He wants to know what I see, then He will tell me what He sees.

We've spent time talking about real humility-my complete reliance on His strength. For me to accomplish anything or overcome things, I must receive His love-it's big enough to take on my regrets, mistakes, hurts, fears & give me the strength to forgive myself for the despicable things I've done, as well as forgive others for the wrongs they've done to me, but I have to let go & hand them to Him. He asks that I agree with His truth...apart from Him I can do nothing, but with Him I can do all things He calls me to do. He's not impressed with my superhero behavior attempts-His power is perfected in my weakness; not when I try to do things that are impossible without Him. I've learned about the power & boldness of the Holy Spirit. It's the only way to have the guts & courage to do what God asks-we just don't have that kind of boldness on our own.

Every time I get to the point of thinking I can't take another unknown day, Jesus wows me to speechlessness with His love. He fills me with an undeniable sense of hope that can only come from Him which washes away the discouragement & doubt that entrapped me. He shows me a glimpse of the future & reminds me that He purposed me long ago to do the good works He planned-that He will complete what He started in me! How's your road trip with Jesus going? Ask, seek & knock God always opens His door & will welcome you in! Believing is not a feeling you feel...it's a decision you make. Believing is based on Who God is...not if you understand everything about Him. Many have a hard time with this truth & lose direction in life-slowly fading into disbelief. Their belief is based on what they can understand.

When I committed my life to Christ, I made the decision to believe, but I didn't completely trust God. I was honest & told God I wanted to believe, but I was scared to trust Him. Then God sent His help...mercy & grace to do a work in me. God met me where I was in my doubt-He poured His love into me to help me believe! I sought the Lord & He answered me, He delivered me from all my fears-He made a way for me.

Jesus says to ask & it will be given, seek & you will find, knock & the door will be opened. God meets us where we are in our understanding & belief-we must decide if we will believe Him when He does. God is faithful, He provides us with what we need to believe in Him-God is good & His love endures forever! Ask, seek & knock-God always answers His door & will welcome you in! Jesus will escort us into the throne room of our Father anytime of the day or night-we don't need an appointment or ever have to wait. Prayer doesn't have to be long or loud-rehearsed or repeated; prayer pours out words from inside the heart-at times inaudible groanings we don't even understand. We can pray anytime, anywhere & anyplace. Prayer is an open door to our Father that He makes available to us-it's a privilege...don't turn your back on it. Prayer is where we receive our Father's love-He tells us we have what it takes because He gives us what we need. Prayer is where we're certain He hears, understands & cares; where He nurtures, encourages & validates us. Prayer comforts & guides us; reminding us we're never alone because our Father is with us always. Prayer is a privilege-let Jesus escort you to our Father. Begging or Believing God...

Begging God or believing God...why do God fearing, Jesus loving & Spirit filled Christians ignore unresolved issues? The obvious reason is denial, but why? Many address issues at the onset, but when attempts fail, they feel hopeless so they get busy & hope things will resolve on their own. They seek relief in busy schedules, deadlines & anything else that can pull them away from the frustration & hopelessness that gnaws on the inside them. They know nothing is too hard for God-so what's the problem? Many say they've begged God for help but nothing changes.

I understand this because I use to do it until God gave me revelation. He said I needed to stop begging Him & start believing Him. I believed He could & would turn impossibles around, but I didn't believe He would help me each time I prayed. So I prayed like a gambler pulling the arm of a slot machine….pleeease Jeeeesus let this be my lucky one! I vacillated between believing I somehow messed up too much & wasn't eligible for God's best or that I had misunderstood the promises of God & expected too much. So I resorted to begging prayers-hoping the more I begged, the more likely God would help me. This approach wasn't helpful & just left me more uncertain because I believed my feelings more than I believed God's truth.

It's dangerous to add our reasoning to God's truth-we lose every time. Believing my feelings over God's truth blocked His grace to me...His supernatural help. We can't earn it & only He can give it. Grace is our sufficiency for impossible situations. We never know how He will deliver it until He does it, but we're certain it's Him! God will do exceedingly more than we can imagine...according to the power that's at work within us. We appropriate God's grace, if not we're left with our natural ability & it's not enough.

Until a person believes God's grace is available to them, they're under the strain of the impossibles they face. Instead of hiding in busy routines to avoid impossibles, will you appropriate God's grace for the impossibles you face? His will meet you at the end of your natural ability & go to work on your behalf-calming your fears, giving direction & filling you up with wisdom. Don't beg God…believe Him! Need direction in life...go to Jesus. He will transform your life-no one is denied. Be transformed in your heart, mind & body in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John-read the words of Jesus & take comfort. Ask & it will be given, seek & you will find, knock & the door will be opened to you (Mt 7:7). Daughter, your faith has healed you-go in peace & be freed from your suffering (Mk 5:34). Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with very much (Lk 16:10). Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Memorize scripture, speak it out loud throughout the day, put your eyes on it, ask Jesus to help you overcome unbelief-make these part of ever day...they are your spiritual arsenal for ongoing battles & to keep your eyes on God's plans! Don't allow thoughts that oppose God's truth to linger-pull them down & replace them with the Word.

Believing God takes effort, following Jesus is a full time job & listening for the guidance of the Holy Spirit is required to have the supernatural power to carry out the plans of God, but the return for your efforts exceed what one would dare dream or imagine! Likewise, inconsistency & unbelief forfeit the plans of God & default to a spiritual poverty that perpetuates into future generations!

The blood of Jesus has removed every one of your sins- past, present & future. Let Him love all of you-don't hold anything back. Put your hope in Him-when grief comes like a robber in the night, His hope holds tight to the truth for you to keep you on course when you can't see a way! No one can believe for you-that's why it's called a personal relationship. Life is hard, but Jesus is Lord & He's overcome this world! Don't worry...God's got your back! When you become anxious about things in this world, remember-God reigns it (Col 1:17); rely on His truth to provide all your needs (Phil 4:19). Ask Jesus to help you not doubt (Mk 9:24), but don't try to figure things out & then ask Him to bless your plans- He won't do it! He wants you trust in Him with all your heart & not lean on your own ability (Pr 3:4-5). Go to Him first-He will make a way for you (Mt 6:33). God's got the ability to overcome what you're up against...which gives you the capability to walk through it; His able-makes you capable (2 Cor 12:9)! God's got your back! He's planned every day of your life (Ps 13915-16), He's reliable & keeps His promises. He's never overslept, missed a meeting, had a hard time staying awake, difficulty articulating His thoughts or expressing Himself, been too sick to attend an event, missed a flight, been stuck in snow, had to borrow money or been unemployed...He's certain, confident, caring, funny, beyond brilliant! God put dreams in your heart to carry out His cause through you-good plans to prosper you & give you a hope & future! Don't ever think you're a mistake or afterthought- you were chosen before the foundation of this world came to be. Don't be discouraged when you're rejected by others or passed over. If you're following God with all your heart, you're on course. He hasn't forgotten you-He's always with you...in the darkest night, biggest fire & deepest waters. You matter, you count, you're valued & purposed by God to carry out the call He's put in your heart-His grace will give you what you need! Even if test scores report moderate to low range, aptitude assessments reflect poor results & clinical prognosis is poor…God's still got a good plan for you. You may be experiencing a season of rejection, but that doesn't make you a reject. Put your hope in God's power-He reigns over all you see & don't see. His Word is final-there's nothing too big or too inconsequential for Him to consider. God's love is bigger than anything you're facing, He makes something from nothing, can part a sea, roll back a river, drop food out of the sky, make a donkey talk, rescue people from a fiery furnace without them being burned, put His seed into an unmarried virgin's womb to bring Jesus into the world, feed 15,000 from one kid's meal, turn water in wine & raise the dead-you can be confident... God's got your plans worked out! Stay on course, keep your eyes on Jesus & don't let others get you down. Just breathe, focus on God's truth, take a step then do it again & again. God keeps His promises & they will come to pass-even when there seems to be no indicator that things are going to break through or open up. Things will change-if you wait on & hope in Him...He will renew your strength & hold on for you. So, what will you do? God's people…we're all called to the race-not all run & stay in it. God's grace is our fuel to run daily-without it we're left to move forward in our limited intellect, stamina & talents. God's grace gives us the ability to exceed our own ability- where we end...He begins! True humility embraces apart from God's grace we can do nothing, but with His grace we can do all He calls us to in the race! Consistency is the key to running the race successfully...daily you must seek God first in all things, renew your mind with the Word & put it into action what you know. When you run into trouble & trials begin to wear on you, don't be discouraged-God will deliver you from each one. Jesus has gone before you-His love gives the race a purpose...His grace gives you the strength to run it with joy. Still the race is grueling, fatigue consumes you some seasons & you might consider giving up. Fatigue is a sign to rest & be restored-it doesn't mean you're weak. Don't try to be a superhero-when you forward in your strength God's not impressed. The enemy wants you to believe you don't have what it takes...he's a big fat liar! God made you for the race-you have what it takes. Focus on your run-don't compare yourself to others; God will look at your progress, nobody else's. Persevere through obstacles of hurt, rejection, lies, grief, fear, unfairness, ridicule, sadness, fatigue, disappointment, offenses & unknowns- each one pushes you to rely on love of Jesus more. His power is made perfect in your weakness; apart from Him you won't make it. Be confident, God will complete the good work He started in you; the race isn't over until you go to Heaven-if you're breathing you're expected to run! Do life with other real Christians friends who will be honest with you-challenging where you are in the race, not to judge, but to hold you accountable. You're purposed by God for this race-you are God's people & His grace equips you. He planned this race long ago-it's won! The question is...will you keep running in it?
