Mother's Day Weekend...thoughts on what it means to be a mom. Being a mom taps into a love you never knew, can hurt your heart like never before and give you the moxie to fight an army if you need to! Being a mom enables you to keep going when you have nothing left, keep loving when no love is being returned and stay up all night to care for a tummy ache or a heart ache. Children will change, hurt and challenge us to the core of our being…it’s the byproduct of loving without limits. Being a mom means you never stop praying and believing God's promises for the children He's loaned you! Being a mom means you're willing to mother...God partners with women to mother children in foster care, adoption, co-parenting, classrooms, youth groups, sport teams, carpools, after school programs, etc. Never minimize the role God places you in; it's an appointed season and time to make a difference!

Mother's Day is a time of celebration for many and a time of sorrow for others. I hope yours is a celebration, but if it isn't...I pray you will put your hope in God and let Him dry your tears, sweet momma. He will love you through this hurt and let you know that you matter and what you've gone through matters too!

We moms need to stand together shoulder to shoulder and remind each other of God's truth...we're not superheroes, we are flawed daughters of Christ, who must rely on His sufficiency and love to press on. We've got to be real with one another and see our differences as assets...not threats. God's purposed us for this era and time to carry out His plans!
