We can't have a relationship with religion and rules...

Many people don't feel connected to God because they're trying to have a relationship with religion and rules-I see this in my practice all the time. We wither and die when our main connection is to things that aren't living (careers, food, drugs, money, possessions, etc). Following Jesus is about having a relationship with Him and the Body of Christ-it's not about religion and rules. God designed us to connect-we are relational. It's not a luxury to have friends and be connected...it's a necessity! God designed the Body of Christ to be connected to Him and to each other-it's our lifeline to the living! Our wellness and ability to overcome issues and move through trials in life is directly linked to our level of healthy connectedness with others. Every issue we have from from psychological to emotional to spiritual leads back to a breakdown in connection. And our ability to overcome these issues successfully and maintain wellness in life is directly dependent upon our healthy connection to others.
