Your true identity is on the inside of you...

Jesus sees past your past...He sees your future; a new you. You're in bondage to things you've done-what you've done isn't who you are...you're confusing behavior and identity. The things you do are behavior- your outside...who you are is identity-your inside. Jesus lives on the inside of you-His love validates your identity. You're loved, unique, a child of God- His masterpiece, to do good things He planned for you long ago. When you accepted Jesus, you instantly become a new creature and saved...but your behavior wasn't saved. Behavior is in perpetual motion of becoming more Christlike each day-it's your spiritual growth process. Condemnation will constantly remind you of what you're not to disrupt your growth process. Focusing on what you're not...won't help you become what Jesus says you are. If you're not focusing on Jesus, you can't make changes; you'll be frustrated and feel like a failure...which disables your ability-exactly the trap condemnation wants you in. Then condemnation tells you what a miserable failure you are...sound familiar? We've all been there...but we don't want to keep going back there. Avoid the trap of being disabled-don't entertain condemnation's lies, immediately speak what Jesus says you are. The truth...none of us can make desired behavior changes without His love. Think of it this way...you can't operate without Jesus-He's your fuel. You wouldn't consider driving your car on empty, if you did, you'd run out of fuel and risk being stranded. If you've ever done this (most of us have or at least been close), you have no choice but to stop-because no fuel leads to no movement...forward. Neither can we run the risk of going into the day without Jesus, our fuel-Who supplies all our needs, including behavior changes... exceedingly, abundantly more than we dare imagine. Believe and receive the truth-Jesus sees your future-a new you...will you? (Col 2:10-15, Eph 2:10, Phil 4:13, Eph 3:20) 2/27/13CIFL-LMM

Don't Compare Your Uniqueness...

Be inspired by...but don't compare to. God equips each of us with our own set of talents and gifts; we're to do our best and maximize what He gives us. Each person is given a different amount of talents, some get more-others get less; the number doesn't indicate our value or level of success by God. Our response to what's been given is the value and success indicator. God measures each person based on their individual plan-not how they individually compare to the group. Don't undermine your success by comparing your talents to that of others. We're given talents that match the plan God has for our life-you're evaluated on what you've been given and if you're doing you're personal best...you're personal best is not compared to others personal best. Be inspired by others...what they've overcome, how they manage a business, lead and parent their family, style in clothing, career path and so on. But don't compare yourself to others...you place yourself in a superior or inferior position and both skew your authenticity. Each person is to compare their ability against their own ability-then they can take pride in what they've accomplished. God holds you responsible for what He calls you to...not what He's called another person to do. Comparing puts you in a contest that you're guaranteed to lose; resulting in feelings of inferiority, superiority that lead to jealousy and resentment. It's not what you have...it's how you use what you have. If you try to be somebody else-you're guaranteed frustration and bitterness. Be free-be you...where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom! (Gal 6:3-5, Lk 19:12-28, 1 Cor 3:17) 11/20/12CIFL-LMM

Ever day...new mercies are available to you!

Every day is a new day...bringing God's mercies with it-He is faithful. God has put 86,400 seconds in every day-giving us 86,400 opportunities to redirect & focus are thoughts on Him. We're to forget the former things-dwelling on the past that wants to pull us back into a pit, instead see the new things God is doing. Think on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent & praiseworthy. When fear presses on you-press back with God's truth. God's truth trumps the lies of the enemy...changing anxious to calm, shamed to approved, closed door to opened door, lost to found, dead to alive...knowing you cant, but He can...Yes, He's mighty to save-will comfort you with His love, the waters will not overtake you, fires won't burn you or leave the smell of smoke on you. God keeps His promises...coming in the middle of the night while you sleep, knocking down iron to rescue you from oppression-ripping off the shackles that bind you, giving you clear direction during your darkest hour & making a way where you can't see a way! Yes, think on our Father God...you have 86,400 opportunities every day to think on & believe His truth-His promises. Every day is a new day...bringing God's mercies with it-He is faithful! What are you expecting today...

Laura Mangin McDonald MA LPC Christian Insight for Life
What are you expecting today? God put this on my heart & then I saw this beautiful dove sitting outside my window. Pursue God with an expectant heart...He always has something beautiful to show you. (Mt 6:33) 2/26/13CIFL-LMM

Broken & left for dead...

Broken...and left for dead. Jairus' daughter was dead, no hope-don't bother Jesus. He ran to Jesus begging Him to save her-he received the news-it's too late. Don't ask anymore because it won't make a difference-broken...and left for dead. What's been broken and left for dead in your life...a failed relationship, virginity, career, rebellious child, home foreclosure, financial ruin, childhood innocence, betrayal, grief so thick it suffocates you daily, pain that consumes your being...??? You're left looking at devastation-your world is spinning, how will you ever overcome...dear God what will you do now, shame plagues you, how can the pain ever stop gushing out of you, where do you go from here...? Jairus was told to stop asking because the girl was dead. When Jesus heard this, He said, "don't be afraid, just believe and she will be healed." Jairus had to be in a daze-his only child, dead. What would he do, how would he move forward? He decided, while in the grip of grief, to listen to Jesus' words and follow Him. Don't give up and stop asking Jesus for help when all you see is a broken and dead situation. Keep on praying, asking and following Jesus. When you're sinking in devastation ..you can't see a way out-Jesus has already made a way, but you must follow Him. He's the Way, Truth and Life...of any dead situation you are experiencing. Jesus led Jairus back to his home where his dead daughter lay. Jesus tells the people to "stop wailing." Most don't believe what Jesus can do because they reason potential outcomes in their ability -unable to see past their dead situation. To overcome, you must see through the eyes and strength of Jesus. Jesus can bring life to any broken or dead situation you're facing-you've got to trust His way of handling it. Jesus gives life...He was broken and left for dead- laid in a cave like tomb. Everyone watching thought it was over: He's dead and gone, but on the third day, He rose again...the tomb's empty. Jesus overcame death! He is Life...Let Jesus give life to your dead situation. Jesus ignored the snide remarks and laughing of the naysayers. He took those He trusted, along with the parents of the girl to where she lay. He reached to her...her spirit returned and she got up. Let Jesus reach to you, don't be afraid, just believe...He will make a way for you, He is the Life to the death you're experiencing...He knows all about being broken and left for dead...He's overcome the world and He can help you overcome the death you're facing! (Lk 8:40-42, 49-56, Jn 14:6, Jn 16:33) 5/20/12CIFL-LMM

Some days we just get tired...

Some days we just get tired-we're beat up, feel like a failure, a fake Christian, we don't want to be kind, caring or understanding, we don't want to be mature, take the higher road or believe we have what it takes, we just want to fall out on the floor & have a ginormous big ol' fit & sometimes...we do just that!

But then we regroup, get a grip, get back up & fix our eyes back on Jesus. The good news is the battle's won & it's done...it's over-Jesus took it all! Let this truth encourage you when you've reached the end of yourself & can't take anymore. Jesus is your Helper, Strong Tower, Rock, Deliverer, Refuge, Strength, Shield, Salvation & Stronghold-His love has gone before you in the battle. You can be confident He will bring you through too!

If God's for you who can be against you? God's power works best in your weakness-His grace is sufficient for you & picks up where you end. Remember this the next time you're tired & beat up-God's got it, it's done, it's over...Jesus took it all! Now get back up & get your eyes back on Jesus so you can move through this! (Heb 12:2,  Ps 18:2, 34:19, Rom 8:31, 2 Cor 12:9) 2/25/13LMM #getbackup #christianinsightforlife www.facebook.com/christianinsightforlife

Mostly faithful...

We justify being mostly faithful to God...reasoning  it's more faithful than most people. But mostly isn't completely...and less than completely-isn't acceptable to God. Mostly leaves some of our heart to be given to someone or something else; it interferes and weakens the direct relationship with God. In counseling, this is called triangulation; a third party is involved in a two person communication. This weakens and breaks down the communication between the two. Anything we allow to be placed between us and God weakens our relationship with Him. The first commandment says to have no other gods. If we're being mostly faithful, we've allowed another god in our heart. Deception weaves justification into being acceptable-the focus shifts from being mostly faithful on the first commandment to..."I'm walking out 2-10." The problem, if the first is not kept...the others don't matter. This justification is no different than a spouse saying, "I'm mostly faithful," then going on to say, "I financially provide for the family, I care for the children, I spend time with you, I show you that I love you, etc." If they're not completely faithful-the covenant is violated; the other things don't matter. We can't accept mostly faithful-we'd adulterate the exclusiveness of our covenant with our spouse. Neither can God allow us to adulterate our exclusive covenant with Him. The good news...God always meets us where we are in our understanding-ask Him to search your heart and He will give you revelation knowledge. If we lack wisdom, He will give it to us generously without finding fault. (Exod 20:1-17, Ps 139:23-24, Jas 1:5) 2/24/13CIFL-LMM

Break Up with Self-Defeat Foreverrrrrrrr!!!!!

If we really knew how much God loved us...we would think and act differently. We would see ourselves as God sees us. We would know His love never leaves us...never. Knowing we are fearfully & wonderfully made (Psalm 139:15); that we are God's masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10). Really knowing we are knitted together by His hands and that He lives in us-that we have His confidence which gives us the resources to overcome...anything. For sure we would break up with self-defeat...foreverrrrrrr!!! Self-defeat wants to bind us in fear, anticipate let downs, be afraid of being passed over, rejected, and unfulfilled.  Self-defeat is a liar...all the time!!! 1 John 4:18 says there is no fear in God's love-dread does not exist-His love expels every trace of terror. Self-defeat will stir up your feelings and before you know it, you're feeling like a failure. Jesus did not engage in conversation with satan-Jesus responded with scripture. We are to do the same; when self-defeat knocks on your door and wants to entertain you...slam the door!!!  Renew your mind (Romans 12:2) with God's promises. Continue to speak aloud throughout the day what God says about you. You will begin to think and act differently...because the more you say what God says about you, the more of a revelation of His love you will hear and receive and you will know you are loved...by your Father. When you really begin to receive God's love...self-defeat won't come near you, because self-defeat is a coward and it will run from God's mighty love for you! Remind yourself everyday throughout the day-you are loved! Blessings my friend. 5/12CIFL-LMM

Walking by Faith...

Walking by faith...because we don't know a way or can't see a way. Our sane minds can't process the why and how of insane...  we we just can't. To attempt, takes us to the ugly edge of insanity itself. We must cling to God for wisdom, strength, and direction. Moving forward with our faith in Him, committing all we do to Him...then He will make our righteousness shine like the dawn and the justice of our cause like the noonday sun. (2 Cor 5:7, Ps 37:5) 12/15/12CIFL-LMM

Say..."Jesus"

Say "Jesus"...He shows up when others don't, holds you when others won't & reveals what others can't. He has no barriers, He's unstoppable, He's the name above all names...Jesus. He's tender, precious & kind. He is the way, truth & life-He's the bridge to God the  Father-His love completes you. You are loved-God has good plans for you....say "Jesus." Make room for who God says you are...

When we lay down who we think we should be...we make room to become who God says we can be. His masterpiece...to do the good works He planned long ago. (Eph 2:10) 2/23/13CIFL-LMM

Don't forgo the fire...you will forfeit your future!

Don't forgo the fire...you will forfeit your future. Moving forward during seasons of disappointment is the  refinement during the fire...pain that's purposed. The maturity process required to transition into the next season. Measuring our conduct by God's definition of excellence verses justifying it by the majority opinion. Knowing delay doesn't mean denial...believing doesn't depend on seeing and perseverance is must to maintain our focus. Walking by faith when we can't see a way, holding onto hope  to motivate us when discouragement overwhelms us, and believing God-His love. Knowing He's with us during the fire-never leaving us or forsaking us. Refinement is required...the ticket validating going through-allowing transition into the next season God's calling us to. Don't forgo the fire...you will forfeit your future. (Ps 66:10, Phil 4:8, Heb 11:1, 2 Cor 5:17, Ps 37:28). 2/21/22CIFL-LMM

Denying grief...denies healing

Denying grief...denies healing. Grief allows you to validate your loss; acknowledging your hurt-that what you happened to you matters. Grief activates the healing process by releasing your pain...moving it through and out of you. Grief is for a period of time-then you are to move forward where God's waiting to take you into a new season (Ecc 3:1). 11/29/12CIFL-LMM

Life impacts you...how you respond defines you

Life impacts you-how you respond...defines you. Trials are part of life-don't let them steal God's promises or become your identity. Take ownership of your life...repair what you've broken, return what you've stolen, stop blaming, quit wishing-take steps, make amends, finish what you've started, be real-stop faking, stop being stingy-it's not yours anyway, be a giver, keep your word, hold your words, let go of guilt-be full of joy, break off toxic relationships, bless others with words of life-not death, receive grace, give grace...be an overcomer! Our Father tells us not to fear because He's with us-He flows His strength through us-hardening us to difficulties. He promises to walk us through every difficulty we face...but He won't make them disappear. We're more than conquerors-if God's for us, who can be against us? Don't waste another good day wishing or dreading- take ownership and move forward. Living the life Jesus died to give you so you can make a difference-shine your light! (Isa 41:10, Rom 8:31 & 37, Jn 10:10, Mt 5:16) 2/22/13CIFL-LMM

God gave you life...He loved you first

The One Who made you...knows all about you. He knows your hurts and joys, what makes you laugh and cry, your dreams and disappointments. He gave you life...He loved you first. Good plans await you...with a specific purpose for you to walk out. Trust in the Lord...with all your heart, soul, and mind, submit every part of you completely...the parts you like and don't like. Lean not on your own understanding, making decisions on what you can comprehend and figure out, but in everything you do, in all your ways acknowledge Him and seek Him first. And our Father God will liberally give you guidance and wisdom... making your crooked path straight. And one more thing...if you miss Him, somehow get off the path, you will hear a voice behind you say, "this is the way, walk in it." (Ps 139:1-24, 1Jn 4:19, Jer 29:11-14, Mt 22:37, Pr 3:5-6, James1:5)12/12/12CIFL-LMM

Many are called...few follow

Many are called...few follow for fear of leaving their familiar-sadly, they forfeit the future God planned for them. Following God requires going against norms,  conventional ways and popular vote. God likes things that create shock value to confound those that think they are wise. He will ask you to carry out  radical, ridiculous, and impossible tasks...just to prove He can do anything He pleases-He laughs as the naysayers stare with their mouths wide open. Following God brings isolation, resistance and ridicule from many, but you must go through the fire to know He's your source...your fuel that supplies you with the all you need to accomplish the mission. Be confident in God's ability flowing through you-the work He began in you, He will bring to completion. You know in your mind what God's ask is impossible-that's why you have to completely rely on Him to carry it out. Opposition, discouragement, and doubt come at you daily wanting you to justify your cause. Don't engage-it's a ploy to create confusion and distract you from hearing the Holy Spirit. Keep your eyes on Him-cling to His truth. God put this call in you to use you...not prove you-He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn and the justice of your cause like the noonday sun! (Mt 22:14, Phil 1:6, 1 Cor 1:27, Lk 18:27, Eph 3:20, Ps 37:5-6) 1/17/13CIFL-LMM

Stamina...got to have it!

Stamina...got to have it to endure and win the race God's called you to and you can only get it from one source. His name is Jesus-His love will flow through your veins and enable you to have the stamina required to endure and win. Your win is guaranteed...  if you choose to believe He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Some days discouragement knocks me down-mocking my efforts and motive to fulfill my call, but then I call on the name of Jesus...He comes rushing through me like a raging river-flooding the banks and knocking over everything that attempted to overtake me. The King of kings, Lord of lords, the Alpha and the Omega, the I Am, Savior, Healer, Redeemer...Jesus-the greatest name above all names is for us, He loves us, He will never leave us...He provides us with the stamina to endure and win the race God's called before us! (Heb 12:1-3, Jn 14:6, Heb 10:36) 7/12CIFL-LMM

When life begins to crumble...

When life begins to crumble around you...don't be afraid-just believe. God's in control-He created what you see and don't see; He holds everything together. These times come and go-each one makes you stronger in Christ...if you believe in Him. Your destiny doesn't depend on what you see-it depends on what you believe. Things that crumble don't last, but God's love does-believe in Him; His love sustains and anchors you...until forever! He wants you to seek Him first-believe He will abundantly provide for all your needs. You've fallen into subtle deceptive thinking-making what you see your security. When these things are threatened, you become afraid-you've come to rely on them for your security. Your security is in God-anything else will let you fall because it can't do what only God can do. God wants you to love and enjoy your life-He knows you need money to pay your bills, transportation to get to work and food to stay alive, but He wants you to find your security in Him. Knowing whatever you face...He's already faced it and He will love and lead you through it. His love sustains you-nothing else can. Don't be afraid as you watch more crumble-speak God's promises. He will never leave or forsake you-He will provide all you need, exceedingly, abundantly more than you ever dare to imagine or ask for... according to the power that's at work in you. The power that's at work in you is how much you believe in God...your faith in Him-your confident expectation that He will provided for you because He said He would. Keep walking by faith, not sight -when life begins to crumble around you...don't be afraid-just believe. God's in control-He created what you see and don't see; He holds everything together!  (Col 16-17, 2 Cor 5:17, Mk 5:36, Eph 3:20) 2/20/13CIFL-LMM

Jesus will escort us...to the Father

Jesus will escort us into the throne room of our Father anytime of the day or night...we don't need an appointment or ever have to wait. Prayer doesn't have to be long or loud...rehearsed or repeated; prayer pours out words from inside the heart. We can pray anytime, anywhere, and anyplace. Prayer is an open door to our Father that He makes available to us.  Prayer is where we receive our Father's love... knowing He hears and understands us; where He nurtures, encourages, and values us. Prayer comforts and guides us; reinforcing we're never alone...because our Father is with us always. Prayer is a privilege. 12/8/12CIFL-LMM

Don't forfeit your next mission...because you're uncertain

When God prompts your spirit to move-that's what you need to do. Don't forfeit your next mission because you're uncertain of which direction to go. God usually doesn't give us our itinerary prior to departure...just begin to move. Your steps activate the next directive from the Holy Spirit-you will hear His voice behind you say..."this is the way, walk in it." A man's steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand his own way? God delights in us when we trust Him and try to do His will. We may fall down-we may even miss Him, but when our heart is seeking Him...His love covers our mistakes. God always upholds us with His hand. Trust God-your steps are directed...but you must walk them out to get there. Blessings friend! (Isa 30:21, Pr 20:24, Ps 37:24) 11/3/12CIFL-LMM

Many go into the day with no agenda or purpose. Without a plan you will fail. As Christians, we have a privilege every day to bear fruit in all we do-especially in our home. We can't produce fruit on our own; we must be fully connected to the Vine. Jesus says we are to remain in Him and He will remain in us-apart from Him we can do nothing. A branch not connected to the Vine has no purpose, will wither and eventually die. Stay connected to the Vine and bear the fruit you were designed to produce. This is a plan that will never fail! (Jn 15:1-8) 9/15/12CIFL-LMM

Shine a Light...on your issues

My passion is for every person to embrace the privilege of freedom that God offers to everyone. No one has to stay stuck in life or settle for just getting by. God has a good plan for you (Jer 29:11). Many don't ask for help for fear of appearing weak; asking for help is a sign of strength. We are to shine the light on darkness (Matt 5:15). Bringing issues into the light gives us & our loved ones an opportunity to heal, restore, & build authentic relationships as God intended for us to experience. The lie many believe is, if my weakness is exposed, others will lose respect for me. If you have a weakness, then you are human like the rest of us. To bring a weakness into the light is the beginning of it's death. It is draining to present only what we think the world will accept. Until we know who we are in Christ we will remain in some sort of bondage; trust He will give you strength (Phil 4:13). If you need to bring some things in the light; don't wait any longer, talk to someone. 5/12CIFL-LMM

Prayer is a privilege...don't turn your back on it.

Prayer is a privilege...don't turn your back on your privilege. It's not something you have to do...it's something you can do...anytime, anywhere, anyplace...you never have to get in line, make an appointment or even wait...your Father always has time for you. He lovingly corrects and directs, whispering dreams and ideas into your heart, comforting and assuring you that He's got everything covered. Prayer is safe, intimate, and validating-your identity is continually developed in prayer. Prayer is you loving your Father and Him loving you- an authentic relationship of the I AM telling you that you belong...to Him. God tells you you've got what it takes... so when you go into the world...you know you've got what it takes...whether they say so or not. Prayer is a privilege...don't turn your back on your privilege! (Ps 145:18, Phil 4:6, 1 Thes :17) 1/14/13CIFL-LMM

Life is hard & unfair...

Life is hard and unfair...sometimes unbearable-people cheat, lie and steal; we can't escape these realities or overcome them on our own, but we can walk with the One Who has...Jesus! Jesus has overcome this world-our past, present & future. Our confidence is in Him-He's our anchor of hope when our hope fades-He holds on for us. As Christians, we're not promised exemption from trials, tribulations or tests, but we're promised the peace of God that transcends all understanding, His comfort during conflict & His hope in place of despair. Write God's promises down-expect God to deliver. Make your faith deposits in Him, in advance, so when your breath is knocked out of you & you're laying flat on your back...call on the name of Jesus-His love will sustain you. God never changes-He has the power to keep His promises to you...but His promise are only as powerful to you as you believe and receive them. God's promises stand-they never change & are offered to anyone who believes in & has faith in Him...what do you believe? Expect trials constantly & expect God constantly to be with you during them. God's with us always...His love keeps us safe & gives us hope in the middle of an uncertain world. (Jn 16:33, Phil 4:7, Heb 6:19, Ps 73:23) 2/19/13CIFL-LMM

Life is hard...but our confidence is in Jesus!

Life is hard and unfair...sometimes unbearable-people cheat, lie and steal; we can't escape these realities or overcome them on our own, but we can walk with the One Who has...say Jesus! Jesus has conquered what's overcome us in the past, present and future. Our confidence is in Him-He's our anchor of hope when our hope fades-He holds on for us. As Christians, we're not promised exemption from trials, tribulations and adversity, but we're promised the peace of God that transcends all understanding-His comfort during conflict and His hope in place of despair!

Write God's promises down-expect God to deliver. Make your faith deposits in Him, in advance, so when your breath is knocked out of you and you're laying flat on your back & wondering how you will go on you will call on the name of Jesus!

God never changes-He has the power to keep His promises to you...but His promise are only as powerful to you as you believe and receive them. The deep...where you find His truth and your purpose! Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Follow Him to the deep...your comforts are stripped away...unknown points its finger in your chest and doubt questions what is truth and what is not...you will know with confidence what you believe and Who you believe in. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free! (Phil 3:12, Lk 5:4, Jn 8:32) 2/17/13CIFL-LMM

You Can't Control What is Not Yours...

God is before all things and in Him all things are held together (Col 1:17).  Our God reigns...over everything-He owns what we see and don't see.  Anything that exist, does so under His reign. God allows us to "manage" His stuff with His supervision.  Examples-our children are God's children and we are allowed to parent them, we have covenants with our spouses but they belong to God, we live in our homes and drive our cars but they're His...we know this, but become very worldly and forget at times?  We need to remind one another...The sooner we give back to God what is already His...the sooner we can release ourselves from an impossible situation of trying to control what is not ours!  I needed this reminder last night-I was exhausted, the hail was pounding our windows, for a second I envisioned our vehicles with hail damage, then I began to retrace some unresolved matters from the day, then I tried to put in chronological order some other events....then I stopped myself.  I clearly heard the Holy Spirit speak to my heart and ask me why I was having anxiety about things I had no control over...and reminded me "everything" including "me" belongs to God and that I am allowed to "manage" what is His.  I visually saw myself holding up to heaven everything that I had been trying to control as mine...the release was a relief...but with it came a deeper revelation that God is in control-He allows me to manage His stuff, but He has it all taken care of.  He says to seek Him...and all these things will be given to you. We experience the freedom He designed for us when we allow Him to be God and we remember, we are His children.  Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Cor 3:17).  Live the free live our God offers us, don't take on what is impossible-that's His job, but you won't know unless you trust Him to do so. Blessings friend! 6/1/12CIFL-LMM

Your Identity is found in Christ...exclusively!

Get a revelation...get your identity; your identity is found in Christ-exclusively! When you get this revelation you will have the courage to be who God calls you to be-His masterpiece...until then you become who others call you to be. Know what God says about you, if you rely on a person, place or thing to give you what only God can give you...you will forfeit your future. It's not too late-seek God in all you do. He will satisfy you all the days of your life-He has good plans. Get the revelation and get your identity-in Christ...exclusively! Wake up sleeper...lift your head.

Wake up sleeper, lift your head...come out from behind your busy schedule. Many profess to love Jesus, but few follow Him. Do you really love Him like you say you do and are you allowing Him to manifest Himself through you to make an impact or are you playing it safe and predictable...loving Jesus but not totally living for Him? Think about these questions-how do you know God will do the impossible unless you stand back and trust Him to do the impossible? How do you know God uses the foolish and weak things to confound the wise unless you're willing to look foolish and weak? How do you know the bold courage of the Holy Spirit flowing through you unless you're willing to do bold and courageous things? God in His relentless love for you does not want you to settle in life. Make your determined purpose to know Him and you will be known by Him; mercy and goodness will follow you all the days of your life. Wake up sleeper, lift your head...will you come out from behind your busy schedule? Define yourself...

Define yourself...give every part of you to Jesus-don't dismiss anything. He's the Master of making nothing into something. He will do greater than you dare ask or imagine..ginormous dreams! Your mind can't wrap around what Jesus is able to do in you-He's ready and waiting in you....your part...embrace the power that's at work within you. Embracing the power of Jesus within you-requires you to give all of you to Him- holding nothing back. What you keep from Him- confines you...what you give to Him-defines you! Be defined, shine your light, let Jesus make a difference through you-do it!  (John1:3, Eph3:20, Mt5:16) 1/7/13CIFL-LMM

A perfect plan...

God has a perfect plan for your life...the only way you are eliminated is...if you remove yourself from walking it out. (Jer 29:11-14) 11/24/12CIFL-LMM

God holds on for you...during despair & grief

A confident expectation...not in what you see, but in what you believe. When despair collapses you and grief rips your heart...seek God-those who hope in Him will find, renew and gain strength. God's hope is an anchor for your soul-holding on for you...when you can't. (Heb 11:1, Isa 40:31, Heb 6:19) 2/16/13CIFL-LMM

God's calling...

Don't get so focused on your call...that you miss God calling. You must guard your heart-do not allow the desire to fulfill your call become greater than the desire to be with the One Who called you. He can't bless the call He instilled in you if you place it above Him-He loves you too much. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Mt 6:33) 5/22/12CIFL-LMM

You can't save a person...from their pain

Let go...God's mighty to save!

If you will let go-God will fix what you're facing-in a mighty way. Are you holding on to a situation...trying to save or revive it? Are you consumed thinking about it, does it weigh you down, wake you up at night, give you headaches and stomach aches, determine if you spend money or not, whether you can go out of town, or even out to eat?  Many say they believe God can do anything, but they don't give Him much of a chance to prove He can do anything. Do you trust God as long as you understand His plans? Have you already got your back up human plan ready, if God's doesn't make sense to you? You justify you're being prudent and prepared, but really...you're doubting and disbelieving God's ability to handle the situation you're facing. Your interference-delays God's intervention. I did exactly this years ago, I'd ask God for help with a situation that was causing me grief...then run back and try to fix the situation-adding my human help to a solution that could only be reconciled with God's intervention. One day God said,"enough!" When I began to let go of the situation I was trying to save, I released my grip and let God's mighty hand take it- and He did in a mighty way! This was not overnight, but I saw a clear unveiling of God's power, when I got out of the way. I had to stay in scripture, speak and renew my mind with the Word throughout the day, spend time and talk with Jesus constantly, listen to my thoughts and be careful of the words I spoke, examine how I spent my time in general...who I was hanging out with, what I was I watching on TV and what was I listening to on the radio. God loves you and He's waiting to take the burden of the situation you've been trying to save. He's your Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Deliverer...Alpha and Omega, El Shaddai, Jehovah-Jireh; your God, Shield, Stronghold-His Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. God will make a way...but you must get out of the way; your help delays Him. God will fix what you're facing-in a mighty way! Will you let go...so He can?  (Rom  12:2, Ps 18:2, Ps 119:105) 2011CIFL-LMM

Brokenness allows God's Light to shine through you...which is the evidence of His Presence in you-making a way for His power to be released through you. Don't resent or hide your brokenness...it is your testimony. I believed a lie for years...that if I revealed all of my story, people would not respect me. So for years, I partially told my story-the parts I thought people would accept. November 5, 2009 God spoke to my heart as plainly as I'm writing to you now, "Let My Light come through your brokenness, it will radiate warmth and people will come close to you. They will feel my love for them...do not hold back from others what I want to flow through you. Tell them how I healed you." If you withhold your story or partially reveal it-you're minimizing the work God's done in you. It's not easy to be vulnerable but God is in complete control...as I write this, the enemy is whispering to my mind that people are going to ridicule me in some way and/or lose respect for me. There will always be people who oppose our obedience or not validate what we've been called to do. This hurts, especially from those we care about and want to support us. Remember, even when you face resistance, rejection, and opposition God will never leave your side; He's with you in every step you walk for Him. Don't allow hurt and offenses to take your eyes off of Jesus-distracting you from the work you're called to do. Continue to move forward, be real about who you are...then others will connect with God's authentic love flowing through you. The openness of who you are is vulnerability-it allows the real you to come through and it will draw others to you-connecting His truth in you. Let His Light shine through your brokenness...get your light on baby...so others can see Him flowing through you. Blessings friends...I see God's Light in you and it makes you radiate-Let's go make a difference for Him! (Col 1:17, Mt 5:16, Heb 13:5) 5/18/12CIFL-LMM

Try Something...verses Nothing

Some wonder, ponder and reason for an entire season saying they're waiting on God-but really they don't trust Him...so they do nothing. I'd rather move  forward with a sincere heart and be wrong-receiving a correction than to do nothing and hear I didn't try... because I didn't trust. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, submit your ways to Him and He will make your path straight. If you miss Him, you will hear a voice behind you say, "this is the way, walk in it." Get up and move-don't forfeit your future for fear of releasing your familiar...God will make a straight path for you, but you won't know until you begin to walk on it...do it friend! (Pr 3:-5, Isa 30:21) 7/2012Rev2/15/13-CIFL-LMM

Run to God...& rest in Him!

A situation we see as an end...is the same situation God sees as a beginning! God's eyes sweep to and fro searching for those who need and believe in Him- desiring the security of His love...wanting to do life with Him. God wants us to want Him-to run to Him and rest in Him like a child who realizes they've wandered too far from their parent and quickly runs back to them. The parent scoops the child up and hugs them tightly, reassuring them they're safe; then the child relaxes in their parent's arms-their provisions. We wander off in our self sufficiency when we try to fix problems we face-we meditate more on what we see than what God sees. We see closed door-He sees opened door, we see death-He sees life, we see no way-He sees His way. Like the child who realizes they've wandered too far...we need to quickly run to God and rest in Him-His provisions. We're to meditate on His Word day and night, careful to do everything written in it-not allowing it to depart from our mouth...then we will be prosperous and successful. That verse would be impossible but God never asks anything of us that He doesn't empower us to do. We've got to rely on His sufficiency-meditating on what He says...day and night-He always meets us where we are in our understanding. I'm deliberate in meditating on the Word but I know I must be aware of the enemy's bait...one tiny shift, a single thought and I can see a disaster...but as quickly as I see disaster, I must choose to believe God's provisions. The key is quickly and consistently run back to God's truth in your mind. You don't have to know how God will provide...to believe He will provide. This is where enemy baits you with questions...how do you think God will make this happen, do you think He wants you to initiate the process, you're absolutely sure you heard God? Know the bait the enemy lures you with-he uses what works on you. Run to God and rest in Him...every situation you see as an end-God sees as a beginning. Meditate on His Word day and night, don't let it depart from your mouth, know God must empower you to do what it says and you will be prosperous and successful. We delay miracles when we factor in our human ability...

We are quick to say what we believe...but slow in responding to take action in what we believe. We delay the miracles God wants to carry out through us because we factor in our human ability. God does not ask us to do the impossible...He asks us to believe that He can (Luke 18:27). 10/24/12CIFL-LMM

Deep hold God's truth in their hearts...

Deep holds God's truth in their heart and pushes forward-not giving into the hard and unfair things in life...because deep knows God's love supplies all their needs according to the power that's at work within them. (Gal 6:9, Phil 4:19, Eph 3:20) 7/12-CIFL-LMM

Development and Strength...

Embrace where you are...you are being developed and strengthened...so you won't back down against opposition. How will you know that you can overcome...unless you come through these things that are tormenting you? Our Father God says in Isaiah 41:10, to not look around in terror or be dismayed that He's with us and will hold onto us with His victorious hand...that He's made us for hard. Press in each time your pressed on...that's how your strength is developed; just like a muscle that resists weight will strengthen...so will you. Continue your development friend...your are made for hard! 9/12-LMM

God has always loved you...

God has always loved you. God is love. He doesn't love you more when you're doing good things or love you less when you're doing bad things...He loves you because that's what He does...God is love. God's love love for you never changes...blows your mind, doesn't it? There's nothing you can do to make Him stop loving you. You feel unloved by God when you've done wrong or messed up...these are feelings. You can't feel your way into being loved by God...love is not a feeling-it's a decision. You must decide to receive God's love-He won't force you. The Holy Spirit, the Helper, will guide you into the revelation of God's love for you. Transforming your understanding in your spirit, then your mind can agree with God's truth-His love for you. Accepting this truth is the foundation of your identity which is only found and developed in God's love. When you know God's love...you're known...by Him-He's your confidence. The more you believe and receive God's love; His truth, the more your mind, heart and spirit receive His love-agreeing with who He says you are...His child. Let God love you today-He's waiting... are you willing? (Mal 1:2, Pr 8:17, 1 Jn 5:14-15) 11/12/12CIFL-LMM

Christian Insight for Life...: Let Jesus remove your chains...minimizing and igno...

Christian Insight for Life...: Let Jesus remove your chains...

Christian Insight for Life...: If I begin to feel anxious or discouraged, I remin...

Christian Insight for Life...: If I begin to feel anxious or discouraged, I remin...: If I begin to feel anxious or discouraged, I remind myself that God's taken care of everything...God's love is power-it heals, restores, ...

I'll have faith or go crazy...and I'm not going crazy!!!

I'll have faith or go crazy...and I'm not going crazy. Years ago I coined this term-I was in a desperate situation & I made up my mind to choose to believe God's Word. I was discouraged & deceived; I'd come to the end of myself trying to figure life out. I thought I was being responsible-doing my part as I waited on God to do His part. But I wasn't waiting on God...I was managing my life independent of God, then pray for Him to bless my efforts! I didn't realize I was being self-sufficient, to me it was being responsible, but I was denying the power of God's love to flow & work through me. I didn't deliberately reject His love...I just didn't know how to rely on the sufficiency of His love.

I came to the end of my efforts & me-I had to choose to have faith or going crazy. Like the woman with the issue of blood, I reached out to Jesus in desperation to save me...one touch-He completely transformed my heart to believe & follow Him! I surrendered all of me that day & began walking by the faith that I professed with my mouth-relying on His sufficiency for everything I needed. That was years ago-these days when I face an impossible, which is nearly each day, I press in & stand firm on His sufficiency. I still allow deception to trip me at times, but immediately I rise up & speak God's Word against the lies the enemy speaks to my mind. Each trial is an opportunity for me to strengthen my faith in God, mature spiritually & gain wisdom. Impossibles are part of life; we can't handle them, but God will, if we invite Him. So, what will you choose...faith or crazy??? (James 1:2-8, 2 Chron 20:17, 2 Cor 12:9, 2 Cor 5:7) 9/2012CIFL/LMM #faith #crazy #Godwillprovide #trust #christianinsightforlife

A Label is not Your Identity...

Copying what the world says you should be..is just that...a copy. A copy is not authentic; God made you authentic...there's only one you! You're fearfully and wonderfully made. Don't allow labels to become your identity...married, divorced, single, white, black, brown, purple...lawyer, doctor, laborer, farmer, redneck, scientist, bus driver, president, tax bracket, or home address. Labels do not give life...but God does-stay connected to the Vine Who will develop your authenticity. God looks in your heart. Agree with God; He says you have what it takes; you don't have to feel it...to know it. He made you with His very own hands. Rise up-God wants to work through you (authentic you) to make a difference in this world! You don't have to feel it...to know it. (Ps139:14, Jn 15:5, Jer 17:10) 12/28/12CIFL-LMM

Jesus will help you...but you have to let Him

Jesus will help you...but you have to let Him. He won't force Himself on you; He's gentle, kind and caring...He wants you to invite Him-you choose if you're comfortable with Him close to you. He's waiting...He's your bridge to the Father-your desires. Go on, ask Him...He's waiting for you. What do you need help with...self-worth, relationship, money, heartache, job search, being real, forgiveness, just knowing how to ask for help, jealousy, addiction, school, anger, disease, boundaries, direction in life, friendship, grief, parenting...hearing God? Whatever you need help with...Jesus will help you, but you must let go; release your grip. What you keep from Him is for you to handle...what you release to Him...He will handle. Jesus never messes up; His plan's perfect-He fixes...what was broken, restores the lost, put you on the right path, makes the blind see and deaf hear, creates something from nothing, heals the hurting, binds up wounds of the brokenhearted, gives hope to the hopeless. You've got to know...Jesus shows up when others don't, holds you when others won't and loves us like others can't-He has no barriers, He's unstoppable, He's the name above all names...Jesus, He's the way, truth, and life. Jesus will help you...but you have to let Him. He's your bridge to the Father... your desires. Go on, ask Him...He's waiting for you. (Col 2:10, Jn 14:6, Isa 61:1) 10/22/12CIFL-LMM
Run the race God set before you...emotion will open the gate for the run, but discipline is required to finish. You've got what it takes...Christ has equipped you. You will be tempted constantly, but you won't face anything new under the sun; God will provide you a way out...every moment, you have the choice to rely on His strength that's in you. God's faithful-He's with you during every tough decision; remain in Him and He will remain in you. Breathe, receive His strength, press forward, then do it...again, and again, and again. If you fall, learn from it-what tripped you? Take responsibility for what you can correct and release it to Jesus; not allowing anything to take your eyes off of the prize-then get back in race. Be intentional, the moment you're in...right now, is the moment Christ equips you in. "I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]. Run the race God set before you...you've got what it takes friend! (1 Cor 10:13, Jn 15:4, 1 Cor 9:24-27, Phil 4:13) 12/5/12CIFL-LMM

The purpose of correction...is to make you right, not wrong

The purpose of correction is to make you right...not wrong. Christ makes you right with His righteousness in you-an ongoing transformation for every Believer. Let Jesus flood your heart with His love...binding up and healing old wounds by someone who harshly corrected you or had unrealistic expectations of you. You will be defensive and reject correction until you allow Jesus' love to heal you-take your hurts to Him. You want to be approved and valued-especially by those you love, but your defensiveness keeps a barrier between you and everyone and everything you care about. With loved ones, it's an ongoing fight. They're trying to connect-telling you how they feel; all you hear is criticism-that you're wrong. They're wanting to fix the wrong in the relationship, but you push them away. They walk away feeling defeated, even more distant from you; exactly what you don't want-their rejection of you. As long as you blame them for how you feel-you will not heal. You want to use your talents, to be acknowledged and valued; you feel dismissed. Listen closely, there's nothing wrong with you...but until you allow Jesus to flush the old hurts out of your heart and replace the negative voices in your mind with His love and Voice of Truth...you will blame the world for something only you can change. Talk with Jesus, He will help you; commit to hear, receive and apply the revelation knowledge He gives you. Talk with trusted godly counsel, read bible based information-walk it out. Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. Being made right through correction is a life long process-no one is exempt. Let the love of Jesus flood you...see yourself as He sees you; perfect and made in His likeness. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there's freedom! (Pr 12:1, Isa 61:1, Rev 3:20, Phil 1:6, 2 Cor 3:17, 5:17) 11/7/12CIFL-LMM

Don't grieve what's gone...or dread what's ahead

Don't grieve what's gone...or dread what's ahead; clinging to what becomes dust in your hands-blowing away into nothingness. As Christians, we're to keep moving forward, doing what's right; the harvest will come-stay focused on what's unshakeable. Each year that passes...is a year closer to the future...our forever-our eternal home. But for this day and this time...you have a call, a job; you're to steward the love of  Jesus that's alive in you to make a difference in this world-this unshakeable kingdom of God. Don't delay or be distracted by what doesn't matter one more day; you're saved to make a difference...rise up-you've got work to do! Stay focused, keep moving, don't give up and God will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, and the justice of your cause like the noon day sun! Now that should get you excited- act like it...because we'll be talking about this forever! (Gal 6;9, Heb 12:26-27, Eph 2:10, 2 Tim 1:9, Ps 37:6) 12/31/12CIFL-LMM

Don't Settle...God wants to lead you into the next season.

You're tired...you've walked through many let downs...don't settle. God's developing you to walk by faith-not sight; relying on His Word as your final authority verses what you can reason and calculate. He's over what you see and don't see; He wants you to rest in Him-putting all of your faith in Him... constantly. God wants to lead you into the next season...will you let Him? Don't settle friend. (2 Cor 5:17, Col 1:16, Mark 11:22) 12/3/12-LMM

Your thought life determines your destiny...

Change your thoughts and...change your life! Our thought life determines our destiny. Thoughts are absorbed in our mind daily-we decide which ones will take shape, form and develop into what we believe or don't believe-keeping what we believe and tossing our what we don't believe. Thoughts come from two sources-God's truth or satan's lies. God has planned out every day of our life (Ps139:16), but satan works daily to come against God's good plans (Jer 29:11). Satan's weapon is planting thoughts-his lies in our mind. If we do not know God's truth we will believe lies, many know God's truth but entertain satan's partial truths resulting in being double minded (James1:8); which causes major anxiety. Make a decision today to begin to tear down satan's lies that have taken up residence in your mind-cheating you from the life that God has promised you. As you read this, satan is flooding you with lies-telling you the hurt you've caused, the wrong you've done, or coming at you with a partial truth that says, "sure God loves you...but He just can't use you." These are satan's thoughts-don't allow them to take shape, form and develop in your mind! You are God's masterpiece... He has good plans for you that He made long ago (Eph 2:10). You may not feel like this is true...but we don't decide if something is true or not based on how we feel-our feelings change throughout the day. We do not feel God's truth...we make a decision to believe His truth. God gives us His Word-speak it daily to believe and walk out His truth in life...renew your mind, meditate on, and speak His truths aloud (Rom12:2), ask God to search you and make you aware of what you're thinking that doesn't line up with His truth (Ps139:23-24), put on His armor (Eph6:10-18) and finally allow the Holy Spirit to do His job-giving you comfort, reassurance and God's confidence in you to live the life Jesus gave us (Jn 10:10). Where the Spirit of the Lord is...there is freedom (2Cor3:17). Blessings friend! 9/7/12CIFL-LMM

Familiar & Predictable vs. Unknown & Unforeseeable

Don't spend a lot of time trying to develop your perfect life plan...God's already developed yours-it will satisfy you all the days of your life. God created you with a purpose, a one of a kind fingerprint, and your individual DNA-you are a unique person designed with love by the Creator of the universe.  You're birth was no mistake, after thought, or haphazard event...God wanted you. He created you with a specific purpose and has a good plan for you because He loves you (Jeremiah 29:11)! You must know His love for you. Many say they know God's love and that He has a good plan for them, but they do not have the revelation knowledge of His love for them. So they don't trust Him and thus, can't rest in Him. God's love in us allows us to trust Him-we must choose to believe it. Fear is constant and is always looming; looking for an opportunity to plant seeds of doubt...creating the unknown. The fear of the unknown paralyzes a person-undermining their confidence in God's ability. People will choose familiar over the unknown...predictable over unforeseeable-giving them a false sense of control.  Intellectually, they will tell you they should trust God, but fear over rides their system and they are unable to get past the unknown and unforeseeable of what God's plan looks like for them. The predicable and familiar takes preference over the unknown and unforeseeable-forfeiting the good plan of God Almighty...because fear says if you can't see, you can't make it. Jesus said in John 20:29, blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.
Ask God to give you revelation knowledge of His love for you, so you can trust and rest in Him. You have a purpose to carry out...you must move forward and walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) to receive what God called into existence for you in the beginning of time...it's the perfect life plan for you. Blessings!  7/12CIFL-LMM

So long Regret...I have to go...

Regret is a painful emotion...if you're not careful, you will follow it into a deep pit. There are many things in my life that I would do different if I had a chance to do again. My most painful regret is related to my loved ones-when my poor choices negatively impacted them. For years, after I was saved, I allowed Regret to remind me...of the pain I imposed on my family. I thought I had to take it...after all, being saved did not exempt me from the natural consequences of my former behavior. One day in particular I was really crying to God...I was just emotionally distraught that my family was left with my junk on them...I had apologized and repented for my former behavior to them, acknowledged the pain I caused, and they had forgiven me...but knowing they experienced pain at my expense was excruciating to me. I was begging God to help me make their pain go away...some how to help me make things up to them. God clearly spoke to my heart that I was correct...I couldn't go back and change the hurt imposed, nor could I make up for something caused...but He could and He would. He reminded me that He is and always will be the Healer, Redeemer, Jehovah Jireh, Comforter, Restorer, Strong Tower, Deliverer...the Great I Am...Who's not constrained by our time frames-He is the past, present, and future at the same time, the Alpha and the Omega...because He owns time (John 1:1-3)! My Father met me in my pain and restored what was taken from my loved ones (Joel 2:25). I had come to the end of myself in prayer that day...I had been sincerely trying to give back to my family what only God could restore. When I got out of His way...He made a way doing what I could never do....I said so long to Regret that day-he's tried numerous times to return and remind me of a hurtful past. I don't engage, instead, I lean into the shelter of my Father, My Strong Tower-lovingly hides me under His wing and reminds me He has restored and given back to my family everything they needed... exceedingly more than I dared even asked for (Eph 3:20). Let God's love restore you and your loved ones! Blessings friends. 10/16/12CIFL-LMM

Your season has been appointed...

Your season has been appointed-don't forgo your destiny. Don't lose heart...for in due time, you'll reap. Carry on with your purpose...determined to let no one take what God has set up for you! (Gal 6:9)8/16/12CIFL-LMM

A situation doesn't determine your destiny!

A situation can consume, overwhelm and paralyze you for a period of time...but it doesn't determine your destiny. God does and He can handle any situation you're up against. It's never too late for God to intervene...He owns time. I've listened to many people over the years tell me situations... lost virginity at 13 years old, learning disability, job stress, can't read, married four times, three abortions, cost too much, chronic illness, DUIs, no education, depression, no skills, high interest rates, parents abusive, anxiety, below average, no friends, job market froze, numerous affairs, aspergers, afraid, drug use, overweight, eating disorder, jail and prison time, etc. God's not intimidated by any of these situations...one touch of His hand-give it to Him. He's for you, there's no, nada, none, nothing bigger than our God- don't allow the situation you're in to rob you of the plans God has for you! (Rom 8:28, 31, Eph 1:11, Ps 24:1, Jer 29:11) 1/21/13CIFL-LMM

Break up with self-defeat...foreverrrrr!!!

Break up with self defeat...foreverrrr!!! If you really knew how much God loved you...you'd think and act differently-boldly making a difference for Him. You'd see yourself as God sees you, know with confidence His love never leaves you, that you're fearfully and wonderfully made-His masterpiece, that He knitted you together with His hands and He delights in you! Self defeat wants to bind you in fear, anticipate let downs, be afraid of being passed over, not valued, rejected, unfulfilled...being cheated and taken advantage of. Self defeat is a liar...all the time! There's no fear in God's love, dread does not exist, His love expels every trace of terror. Self defeat will stir up your feelings and before you know it, you're certain you're a loser and that you've been fooling yourself. Jesus didn't engage in debate with satan; Jesus responded with scripture. We're to do the same; when self defeat knocks and wants in to discuss some things...don't answer the door! Renew your mind with God's promises-see what He sees. Speak the Word aloud every day-say what God says about you. You'll begin to think and act differently; the more you say what God says about you-the more you believe it, the more you believe it, the more you walk it and will make a difference for Him! (Ps 139:15, Eph 2:10, 1 Jn 4:18, Rom 12:2) 5/12CIFL-LMM

God's love approves all of you...

When the revelation of God's love floods your heart, spirit and mind...you will know you're approved, valued and worthy of being loved. Knowing you're loved because of Who you belong to...not what you do. That awkward feeling of being in the way is gone-replaced with revelation...you matter. God whispers to your spirit...you've got what it takes-He's proud of you and delights in you. His love allows you to enjoy being you...no longer an aching need to prove yourself. Knowing your value and worth isn't in what you do or don't do or what you've done or haven't done; it's in who you are-a child of God. No longer living in the past or anxious about the future, but an ability to rest...in the Presence of God. God's love allows you trust, putting your hope in Him, because He will never leave you. God's love will flood you with His freedom-will you receive it?

Know who you are...so others don't tell you

You've got to know who you are...if not...others will tell you who you are. This results in emptiness and discontentment because there's only one authentic source for finding out who you are and it's not found outside of you. Who you are is found on the inside of you...where Jesus resides- He tells you the truth about who you are. He will remind you that you're not alone and how much God loves and values you. He helps you develop your character to overcome the adversity you will inevitably face and become the person God purposed you to be-His masterpiece! Spend intimate time with Jesus daily so you can be reminded of who you are. Where the Spirit of the Lord is...there is freedom (Rom 12:2, John 8:31-32, Eph 2:10, 2 Cor. 3:17). 8/25/12CIFL-LMM

Conversation with God...lesson on fear

A Conversation with God...lesson on fear. God clearly spoke to my heart on fear-Here's what He said..."Fear will scream silently in your mind throughout the day ...you missed it, someone took your spot, you won't get the chance again, work harder-maybe you can make up for lost time, don't trust and you won't get hurt, don't count on anyone, don't ask for help or you will look weak and incompetent, you upset God, you're not going to make a difference, they're just using you, that idea is self serving, you're too needy and emotional, you lost your temper-again...nothing is going to change. Know this-fear's only ploy is to create panic in you which drowns out you hearing My voice. Listen closely, I've got it...you didn't miss anything, I have no barriers to providing for you-My love transcends time, the past, present and future have no hold on Me...I own time (Rev1:8)! Don't drown yourself in fear's lies or try to resolve conflicts out that are beyond you-the mind of the flesh leads to death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace (Rom 8:6). Look at this world through My Word; it's a lamp to your feet and  a light to your path (Ps119:105). My Word can't be separated from Me...to profess to be a Christian but think like the world will mess you up-really. Accept Me and My Word, renew your mind with it (Rom 12:2) then you will hear My voice. You do know I've ordered every step of yours, right (Ps 37:23)? You were planned by me-I formed you in your mother's womb (Ps 139:13). Don't ever let anyone tell you that you were not planned or you don't have a purpose. You are purposed by Me, you don't have to feel this to believe this-but as you believe it, you will feel it (Eph 2:10). Know this-I've always loved you...but I desire for you to love Me too. I want to spend time with you every day-I want a meaningful relationship with you: even though I never leave you, sometimes you forget this(Rom 8:35-39). Call out to Me-anytime, anywhere, anyplace-I'll answer (91:15-16). Let My love satisfy you...now rest child-I've got  everything covered (Col 1:17)." 2/9/13CIFL-LMM

When anxiety thumps on your chest...and you're faced with an impossible

Anxiety thumps on your chest when you're faced with an impossible situation and begins to flood you with questions like...what are you going to do, how's this going to impact your children, is there enough money, what will people say, are you too old, do they know what you did, do you think he can keep this job, will you fit in, what if they do a background check...? God tells us to not have anxiety about anything, Seek Him and trust that He will supply all our needs. God's clear-He's got the situation covered; He's an anxiety crusher! We're not to worry-ever! When we believe this, He goes to work...by the way, all those questions that anxiety wants you to panic about-God's got each one covered. Have faith in His ability to handle your inability, when you do...God will give you words to speak, the courage and stamina you don't have, lead you to people who can help you, give you fresh ideas, work through devastating grief, restore dead relationships, forgive the unforgivable, connect you to the job that's matched to your skills, lead you to a friend who will understand and walk with you, find the school that has the teacher who knows how to work with your child, see the doctor that has a cure for your disease, connect you with the loan officer who meets you instead of your FICO score, gives you the opportunity you've needed to market your concept-but most of all...God's there for you-He loves you and He will handle anything you're up against...if you have faith in Him. God's love soothes your mind, heart and soul-letting you rest in Him no matter what you're facing. Let His love bring your mind into proper focus of His truth...you're loved by Him! Feeling anxious...

If I begin to feel anxious or discouraged, I remind myself that God's taken care of everything...God's love is power-it heals, restores, and gives hope. God makes something from nothing. He knows my name and I'm His child-He sent Jesus to take all my sin and filled me with the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide me. God never loses track of time...because He owns time. God doesn't worry...He never messes us...He has no lose ends. He existed before anything else and He holds all creation together (Col 1:17). I will do what I can-knowing He has to take care of the rest...and He will...because He's God! Have a blessed day!

Got anxiety...

Got anxiety...try God's peace. Anxiety results when we realize we're not in control.  Intellectually, we know we're not in control but this becomes a reality when we're faced with an impossible situation. We say we know God's in control, but when faced with an impossible, we often revert to a state of panic. God tells us to not have any anxiety about anything and Seek His Kingdom above all else, live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. That includes...everything you need...that means any situation you're facing-His power will manifest through you. Do you have faith in His ability to handle your...inability? God's ability is available to anyone who believes in Him-but you must factor in His Presence, consistently; all the time, in everything. If you do...God will think and speak for you, give you the courage and stamina you don't have, lead you to people who can help you, give you fresh ideas, work through devastating grief, restore dead relationships, forgive the unforgivable, connect you to the job that's matched to your skills, lead you to a friend who will understand and walk with you, find the school that has the teacher who knows how to work with your child, see the doctor that has a cure for your disease, connect you with the loan officer who meets you instead of your FICO score, gives you the opportunity you've needed to market your concept-but most of all...God Himself breathes His life into you to give you a hope and a future. His love soothes your mind-bringing it into proper focus of His truth. Next, He tenderly pours His love into every hurting area of your heart-continuing until the wounds find relief, finally overflowing into your spirit and refreshing you-giving you the stamina needed to move forward with His confidence. Will you factor in His Presence in all you do and know how crazy in love your Father is with you-then let His ability move through you to handle your inability? Take a risk and trust God-I guarantee it will work...because He said so and He never breaks a promise. Blessings! (Phil 4:6, Mt 6:33, Mk 11:22) 10/7/12CIFL-LMM

God cares...He will show you a way

God is our source...not the world. Probably, the single most difficult principle for a Christian to follow. Many profess God's principles with their mouths while they follow the world's ways with their minds and hearts. God knows our future...not Self Magazine, The View, or Forbes. We rely on the Trinity...God, Jesus and Holy Spirit for direction. God's Word works...if you work it. It's the incorruptible seed-it can't return void. God calls life to the dead and makes what does not exist...exist-we have a hope and a future. The world is limited by what it can see and manufacture-creating anxiety because their is nothing timeless-things come and go. But we, who are in Christ, triumph always! God created...and owns time...really, He has everything worked out...so why would be anxious-ever??? Honor and respect God's design of love, sex, and family. The world says, "if it feels good do it, if it doesn't-don't." Love is not a feel good, grope, or fleeting thought...it's a commitment to choose to love like God models for us. Can you imagine if God loved us based on our thought and actions??? What's your view-are you in or out? Do you consider leaving when things get hard and say "okay God, I need You to show me something or...." Or what? What are you going to do? I'm like Peter, what else would I do, I have no where else to go. Pick a team-you can't play both sides or you'll be divided; God calls that double minded. You will lose your mind...really, if you know what the Word says, but you continue to look to the world to meet your needs. News Flash...the world self serves and will serve itself before it serves you and will tell you "hasta la vista, baby!" Decide to stand on your knowledge and not your feelings...God's Word works all the time in every situation-if you work it. We always triumph in Christ (2 Cor 2:14). Blessings friend! 8/2012CIFL-LMM

Truth hurts...but it heals

The truth hurts...but it heals. It's hard to listen to a loved one address the parts of you that you would rather ignore. They aren't trying to tear you down; it takes guts to fight for authentic love as God designs. Passivity in a relationship poses as being concerned and not wanting to cause conflict; the real issue, is there's not enough truth in the relationship to handle conflict. Truth must exist or the relationship cannot grow and develop. Love covers...it does't deny the unresolved issues in the relationship. Love cares enough to risk you being angry; knowing with confidence that healthy and godly relationships must be established and built on love and grows stronger and develops with truth-anything less is settling. The truth hurts...but it heals (James 5:19-20). 10/30/12CIFL-LMM

Don't spend a lot of time trying to develop your perfect life plan...God's already developed yours-it will satisfy you all the days of your life. God created you with a purpose, a one of a kind fingerprint, and individual DNA-you're a unique person designed with love by the Creator of the universe. You're birth was no mistake, after thought, or haphazard event...God wanted you. He created you with a specific purpose and has a good plan for you-He loves you! Many say they know God's love and that He has a good plan for them, but they don't live a life that reflects this knowledge. If they did, they would follow God with more purpose and boldness-trusting His love, receiving His correction, and resting in Him. Revelation of God's love allows us to believe Him. Fear's agenda is to counter our believing in God;  always looming, looking for an opportunity to plant seeds of doubt...presenting itself as being prudent, but the intent is to create uncertainty-what if you miss God? Fear of the unknown paralyzes a person-undermining their confidence to hear God. Fear screams to hang on to what you know...don't take the risk-you might go without or look foolish. Fear convinces to choose the familiar over the unknown. Christians know they should trust God, but they allow fear to over ride their system and they're unable to get past the unknown and unforeseeable of what God's plan looks like for them. They forfeit the good plans of God Almighty...because fear convinces them, if you can't see, it might not be true... Jesus said, "blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." Ask God to give you revelation knowledge of His love for you, so you can trust, receive correction and rest in Him. You have a purpose to carry out...it requires you walk by faith and not by sight...it's the perfect life plan for you. (Pr 3:2, Ps 56:3-4, Ps 139:23-24, Jn 20:29, 2 Cor 5:7, Jer 29:11) 10/2012CIFL-LMM

Fear is constant...always looming

Fear is constant-always looming; looking for an opportunity to plant seeds of doubt when people are facing new and unknown seasons in life. Many entertain the outcomes of these unknown seasons in their ability verses God's ability. This paralyzes their confidence in God and undermines His ability to intervene and make a way. People often revert to their familiar, what they know and understand-relying on their ability to control the new situation instead of trusting God's Sovereignty in the new season. There's not much to debate...rely on God's Sovereignty or human ability??? It sounds ridiculous to even say it aloud, but we Christians do this all day long. Often, we choose familiar over unknown...predictable over unforeseeable; to feel comfortable in a pseudo kind of control. The only way to trust God is to make a decision to believe Him...He gives each of us faith to do so. The more we go through situations and believe God will show up for us...the more we trust Him to show up for us-strengthening our trust muscles. If a person relies on their familiar and resorts to their plan of action...they will never experience God's confidence in the unknowns of life. For God did not give us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. God's got the ability-He needs your availability. Will you trust Him...release your familiar to move forward in the future He's planned? He will walk you through the unknown seasons of life and make your path straight. (Rom 12:3, 2 Tim 1:7, Pr 3:5) 10/28/12CIFL-LMM

Jesus' Love is Big...

Jesus' Love is Big...bigger than anything you need to restore, replace, or replenish-bigger than anything you've done or are up against, need to let go of or go back to, make peace with or move on from. Jesus' love gives meaning to the hopeless, life to the dead, rest to the weary, shines light in the darkness, mends broken hearts, calms fear, increases faith, gives  boldness, finds the lost and gives purpose to pain. Jesus' love doesn't exempt you from experiencing adversity...but He guarantees to be with you every step of it-giving you His confidence to face it and move through it. Jesus' Love is Big...will you receive it? (Jn 16:33, Mk 4:38-41, 5:28-34, Mt 5:16, 11:28) 2/7/13CIFL-LMM

If you really knew how much God loved you...

If we really knew how much God loved us, we would think & act differently. Knowing we are fearfully & wonderfully made (Ps139:15); that we are God's masterpiece (Eph2:10). Really knowing we are knitted together by His hands & that He lives in us-that we have His confidence, gives us the resources to overcome...anything. For sure we would break up with "self-defeat"...foreverrrr!!! Self-defeat wants to bind us in fear, anticipate let downs, be afraid of being passed over, rejected, & unfulfilled. Self-defeat is a liar all the time!!! 1 John 4:18 says there is no fear in God's love-dread does not exist-His love expels every trace of terror. Self-defeat will stir up your feelings & before you know it, you're feeling like a failure. Jesus did not engage in conversation with satan-Jesus responded with scripture. We are to do the same; when self-defeat wants to entertain you...slam the door & respond with scripture. Continue to speak aloud throughout the day what God says about you. You will begin to think & act different...you will know you are loved...by your Father. When you really know this love...self-defeat won't come near you, because it's a coward & it can't handle God's love! Blessings my friend.

Daily Intimacy with God is an absolute...

Daily intimacy with God is an absolute-He will tell you who you belong to & who you are...that you're valued & loved. His love never changes because He never changes. His love is predictable-He will never love you less no matter what you do. His love is a power that will ignite every neuron in your body because He knows every neuron in your body...He designed you. Let Him love you so you can know authentic love. You think you know love...but you've experienced counterfeit love. God's love doesn't harm, belittle you, or want you to beg & prove yourself worthy of receiving love. His love accepts all of you-past, present, & future. No person can make your pain go away, stop the scenes you play in your mind continually, or cease the voices of accusation...but God can & He will; call out to Him-He's mighty to save! His love you completes you. You are worth it despite what you've been told-they don't know, but God does-let Him love you today. You are not a left over, side lined, or last pick-you are a child of God, Christ Himself...let Him love you today. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Let God love you today and you will know Him and He will tell you who you are...valued & loved! (Zeph 3:17, Isa 61:10, Col 2:10, 2 Cor 3;17,

I challenge you to a Genesis 18:14 day..."Is anything too hard for the Lord?" What is your too hard that's trying to steal your joy...child, job demands, secrets, unemployment, foreclosure, marriage, school, rejection, pregnancy, relationship, depression and on and on. Nothing is too hard for our God, but you won't trust Him until... you let Him-let God have what your up against. Speak this promise of God all day and you will feel more confident at the end of the day..."Is anything too hard for the Lord?" Blessings friend. 4/27/12CIFL-LMM

God's Word Saves...

Anytime we believe "some of something," we won't be confident in all of it...we'll believe parts, but won't have confidence that we can rely on it completely. So we don't...leaving us uncertain and anxious. What keeps us from believing all the parts of something? The answer is life and our experiences-it's unfair, unpredictable, and unstable in many ways. So we project our experiences of life on God...believing He might be unfair, unpredictable, and unstable. To not be anxious about Him, we must cling to His truth... God never changes, He's the same today as He was yesterday, and will be the same tomorrow. He's with us always, is strong when we're weak, and He's crazy in love with us! If you're waiting on your feelings to completely trust God...you will only believe "some of Him" and won't be confident. God says if we lack wisdom, ask Him and He will give it to us generously without finding fault with us. But when we ask, we're  to believe-not doubting Him or we'll be unstable in all we do; being double-minded. And here's the part that is clear...we should not expect anything from Him. This seems harsh-but God's saying...choose to believe His truth, not feel His truth. Our feelings change, but His truth doesn't. He says, ask for wisdom and He will give it generously....and He does. For years, I tried so hard to believe...I wanted to believe, but more days than not I ended up in a ditch worn out and discouraged. I professed God's Word, but I didn't say or walk it out consistently and I tried to do it in my strength-leaving me anxious and uncertain. I was double minded-believing "some of Jesus." Then about 9 years ago, I got the revelation of speaking God's Word aloud-saying what He said and asking Him to help me believe what He said. I agreed with with the Word, not because I felt it was true....but because He said it was true. I chose to partner with  Creator of the universe-it's changed my life and it will change yours too! God's Words are power...He spoke this world into existence...He made something from nothing. When we speak His Words, we agree and believe that something can come from nothing not because of what we do...but because of Who we have faith in. I spoke scripture to things that once would take me down. When I came up against an impossible situation, I'd say, "I call these things that be not as though they are." I reminded myself daily that no matter what destruction my eyes saw, I walked by faith, not by sight. If God's for me, even when I'm sinking in craziness, who could be against me. That my God is before all things and holds everything together in His very hands. Friend, continue to speak scripture in the middle of your fire just like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abedengo. Remember they were thrown in a fiery furnace with flames engulfing them- they walked out, no burns, not singed, or even smelling like smoke. God's Word is a privilege... consistently speak what He says is true, rely on His strength, not yours. Choose to believe His truth, not feel it-your feelings change...He never changes. God's Word saves...it will save you and loved ones during the fire. Blessings! (James 1:5-8, Rom 4:17, 2 Cor 5:7, Rom 8:31, Col 1:17, Dan 3:3-30) 6/18/12CIFL-LMM

Don't fret or be anxious...

God's Word trumps...all things. Don't fret or be anxious about anything. Doesn't matter how lost it is, useless it looks, number of times it happened, far away it is, impossible it is to comprehend, dead, broken, angry, bitter, jealous, envious or hopeless it is...God's Word trumps all things. He existed before all things and in Him all things consist, cohere, and are held together. He knows your name, every single thought you've ever had, are having or will have. He's the Alpha and the Omega-God speaks and nothing becomes something...taking shape and form. Holy Sees, Holy Knows and Holy Does-will you trust Him to walk you where you can't see to go? You know in your heart you're not where you're suppose to be, but you don't know how to get to where He wants you to be-God will show you...but you must begin to take steps into the unknown. You won't know God will lead you through the unknown..until you're in the unknown. His Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. God's Word trumps...all things! (Col 1:17, 2 Cor 5:17, Jn 1:3, Ps 119:105) 5/12CIFL-LMM

Don't live one more day...chained to the past!

Don't live one more day chained to the past. Let Jesus remove your chains...minimizing and ignoring unresolved pain keeps a person chained to the experience that hurt them. They're unable to live in the present because their life is lived...through their past. Until the hurt's addressed-they're chained to the past. Unresolved hurt is as alive as the day it happened, but because it has many layers of life on it, it's not always identified. The old hurt is misplaced and disguised as other issues in a person's life like anxiety, discontentment...never completely connected, a vague sense of never being okay or feelings of being unsettled. Unresolved hurt from the past distorts perception...keeping the view of the present obscured. Ask Jesus to search your heart and show you what you've not dealt with. Jesus came to save us, bind up our wounds, free us from captivity and bring us out of darkness...to heal us. Let Him heal you-only Jesus can give back to you what was taken or given away and give to you what you should of received. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Make a decision to receive the freedom-the love Jesus offers to you into your heart today and be healed. Don't live one more day chained to the past. (Ps 139:24-25, Isa 61:1, 2 Cor 3:17, Rev 3:20) 11/1/12CIFL-LMM

Teach your children to call on the name of Jesus!

You're not alone in parenting...you've got God; He's got everything covered. You can't control how life happens to your children...but you can prepare them for life. Teach them how to call on the name of Jesus...how to pray and spend time with Him. Walk out what you believe-explain Jesus has overcome and conquered anything they will ever face. Let them know you've been given the privilege to parent them, but they belong to God and that makes you feel safe...because He's the greatest Superhero of all time! Be honest when they ask questions, things happen we can't control, but we're never alone-God never lets go of our hand. God doesn't promise we will not face danger, but He does promise...He will be with us when we face danger. God commands His angels to watch over children and He's before all things-He holds everything together. You're not alone in parenting...you've got God-He's got everything covered! (Dan 3:27, Isa 43:1-2, Ps 91:11-12, Col 1:17) 11/20/12CIFL-LMM
