Change the way you think...

Your own thinking is the biggest roadblock to you making the changes you desire in life. Change your thinking...change your life! (Rom12:2) 4/30/13CIFL-LMM

Renew your mind...

A Christian who doesn't renew their mind with the Word is as ineffective as a gun without a bullet. Load your mind with the Word-it's your confidence! 9/2011CIFL/LMM

Ungrateful attitude...

An ungrateful attitude is as offensive as a cheap perfume. 9/2011CIFL-LMM

Don't let your can't...get in the way of God's can.

Don't let your can't...get in the way of God's can. Jesus said, "Humanly speaking, it's impossible, but not with God. Everything is possible with God."

Trials, troubles & tribulations-stand between God's promises & you...

Trials, troubles and tribulations...will always stand between God's promises and you. You can confidently face them and rely on the strength of Jesus in you to go through them. Yes, it's hard; we live in a fallen world and hard doesn't go away until Jesus returns. Until then...hard doesn't disqualify you either; God says He will harden you to difficulties. Jesus told us to expect trials, trouble and tribulation but not lose heart because He's overcome all of them. Being a Christ follower is guaranteed many trials and in the middle of each one you're guaranteed Jesus will hold your hand-leading you to the other side! Don't exhaust your mind trying to figure out the "why" this is happening to you-instead keep your eyes on "Who" is with you. Reasoning will have you to try and apply a human solution to the impossible situation; completely obey what God's asked you to do-He will provide what you need. Only God's provisions can resolve what you're facing, but if you don't trust Him to provide-you will never know. Stand firm and believe God no matter what you see happening-God usually doesn't show up until the last second of the 11th hour. God keeps His promises...let Him show you He will. Don't set yourself up by having a preconceived idea of "how" God will show up either-you can't figure out how He will provide. And remember...going in the fire doesn't mean that it's over-you're just going through and Jesus is right there with you. The righteous will consistently face troubles and God delivers them from each one! You're made for hard-keep moving friend...you're going through and you will make it! (John 16:33, Eph 3:20, 2 Chron 20:17, Ps 34:19) 4/22/13CIFL-LMM

You are a work in progress...keep moving!

You are a work in progress...keep moving!Walk out your progress. Some days you will fall down a thousand times...and you will get back up a thousand times...just keep moving forward-don't stop. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest...if we do not give up. Get back up friend-the work God's started in you...He will complete in you. God will continue His perfection through you until the day Jesus Christ returns! You are His masterpiece...walking out the good plans He called you to long ago. You are a work in progress-keep moving!(Gal 6:9, Phil 1:6, Eph 2:10)) 5/23/12CIFL-LMM

Your not enough...is more than enough in the hands of Jesus!

Your not enough...is more than enough in the hands of Jesus. In John 6:5 Jesus asked Phillip to feed over 5,000 people-He knew the request was impossible for Phillip to carry out but He wanted to strengthen his faith. Jesus demonstrated how we rely on the Father. He gave what He had in His hands to the Father to bless and multiply. Don't hold back giving what you have...and miss your opportunity for God to make it into something. The little boys lunch was not enough, but when put in the hands of Jesus and offered to the Father...became more than enough. Apart from Him you can do nothing-He needs your availability...He's got the ability. Your plan is complete..will you walk it out? (John 6:5-13) 4/19/13CIFL-LMM

Beautiful...a message to all women!

This is written by my youngest daughter Morgan Wheeler...God has gifted her with an ability to convey His heart to women. Please read-it is beautiful!

I want to give encouragement to women who need it.

You are not your past.
You are not who "they" say you are.
You are not who your negative self says you are.
You are beautiful.
You teach people how to treat you.
You need to believe in yourself before others believe in you.
You are meant to flourish.
You cannot make a man love you.
You are beautiful.
You are not a leftover meal.
You are one of a kind.
You have what it takes to rise above rumors.
You have strength and dignity- find it.
You are never too late to start something new.
You are beautiful.
You were already bought for a price, stop looking to sell yourself elsewhere.
You are beautiful.
You are not those drunken nights.
You are not the punches you took.
You were not an accident.
You are needed.
You are beautiful.
You are worthy.
You will change someone's life when you change yours.
You don't need to prove yourself.
You don't need to curse and be provocative to get attention.
You want a good man? Then clean your act up.
You are beautiful.
You don't need to be jealous.
You don't need to apologize for saying no.
You need to say "no" more.
You haven't lived life until you set yourself free.
You will make mistakes.
You will make mistakes again.
You don't need to be perfect.
You need to be YOU.

Ladies, let go of the lies. Don't be afraid to start fresh tomorrow. People will judge you, yeah, they will come at you.

But YOU have to make A CHOICE to rise above, and to LET GO of what's holding you back from becoming that woman you know exists deep down inside of you. That woman who dreams big and loves hard. Become her.

Don't blame others anymore. Get out of your comfort zone and take responsibility.

Your future is set up before you, embrace it.

Debating God's truth doesn't change His truth...

Debating God's truth does not change His truth. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior, His Spirit immediately came to live in you. His Spirit  goes where you go & stays where you stay. The Holy Spirit's power is in you to handle any impossible situation you face. Jesus said, "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace & confidence. In the world you have tribulation & trials & distress & frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you & have conquered it for you]." This scripture is a truth, a promise of God; whether you choose to believe it or not...does not make it any less true. God's promises are available to anyone who believes in Him-He does not discriminate. Each person that invites Jesus to live in them, has access to His promises...to His power. Many Christians become very confused when they consider whether or not they believe all of His Word or not. God's Word does not lie. Many want to debate His Word as if it's open for modifications...God's Word will not change-He keeps His promises. Blessed are those who hear the Word of God & obey it! Believing God is a choice...not a feeling. Christians must choose to believe, then choose to access what Jesus makes available to them- His promises & His power. "I have deprived it of the power to harm you & have conquered it for you" This is a promise-choosing to believe gives access to the promise. Choose to believe what Jesus has promised you-His Spirit lives in you friend, don't ponder, debate & speculate...you loose ground & become confused. Choose to believe...it's your access to His promises & the power living in you. He's the way, the truth & the life...know His truth & be set free! He knows what you're facing this very second, choose to believe He's deprived it of power to harm you & has conquered it for you. Don't debate...choose to believe- it's the access to God's promises! (Jn 16:33, Luke 11:28, Jn 14:6, Jn 8:32) 10/8/12CIFL/LMM

God's Word is Power!!!

Meditate on the Word day and night, careful to do everything written in it; not allowing it to depart from your mouth...you will be prosperous and successful (Josh 1:8). That's God's promise to us, but many believe only a few can fulfill what this verse requires. God never asks anything of us that He doesn't give us the power to do. The power He gives us is His love-He flows His love through us. When we spend intimate time with God, we are filled with His power. Intimacy is connecting to Him every day, letting Him know how we feel, reading His Word for guidance and direction...just being with Him. This intimacy strengthens our God sufficiency-making us capable to carry out what He asks of us. Opposite of God's sufficiency is self-sufficiency which takes us off of the path God's made in advance for each of us-thus removing us from the good plans He has for each of us (Jer 29:11). You will face many troubles, but when you're following the Lord, He comes to your rescue every time (Ps 34:1)! Be aware of the enemy's bait; encouraging you to rely on your ability to reason the potential outcomes of a situation through your strength-this is self sufficiency. God sufficiency holds on to God's promise no matter how dismal a situation appears. Human wisdom quickly forgets the power of God's promises (1 Cor 2:5). Stick to God sufficiency; if God said it...it is true-no matter what! Walking in victory requires you to quickly and consistently respond to the lies of the enemy-don't let his lies linger in your mind; they will oppose your thoughts to God's Word. This of course is the enemy's goal then you become anxious, insecure and begin to allow human wisdom to flood your mind which always leads to disaster. A man's way seems right, but it eventually leads to death ( Pr 14:12). Go after each lie and replace it with the truth...God's Word; rest in His confidence-He will make a way for you each time (Pr 3:4). You don't have to know how God will provide...to believe He will provide. Meditate on the Word day and night-you will be prosperous and successful!  7/11/13CIFL-LMM

Jesus Heals...

Jesus heals...what was lost, stolen or given away. He tenderly restores every broken part of your heart-replacing your hurt with His love & your depravity with His dignity. Trade in your fears, mistakes & uncertainties for His boldness, correction & future. No person, achievement or financial security can replace what's missing in you, but Jesus can & will. He heals broken hearts, binds up wounds & will release you from being a captive of your own circumstances. Give Jesus every part of you-so He can heal every part of you & then you will know...He's approved every part of you. Will you let Him heal all of you today? (Ps 147:3, Isa 61:1) 4/15/13CIFL-LMM

Will you be a vessel for God?

God never asked us to figure it out...He wants us to be willing vessels He can flow His strength through. Our willingness enables His strength through us. I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me. He will supply all my needs according to His riches and glory by Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. Post these three scriptures-read them aloud daily; let them be your reminder of God's truth. He works through you...you don't have to figure things out; you're to walk out what you believe- which is His ability through your availability! Will you be a vessel for God?  (Phil 4:13, Phil 4:19, 2 Cor 4:7) 4/14/13CIFL-LMM

Life is hard...but Jesus has overcome!

Life is hard and unfair; people cheat, lie, steal and bad things happen to good people. We can't escape these realities, but we can choose to walk with Jesus to deal with these realities. He's already faced our giants. Jesus said, "I have told you these things so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulations and trials and distress and frustrations; but be of good cheer [take courage, be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]" That's a promise from Jesus-hold on to it every day! Write it down...the world has been deprived of the power to harm you! If you choose not to believe this promise...it will not help you. A promise is only powerful to the one who chooses to believe it. Jesus didn't say we would live a perfect life without trials or tribulations. He spells this out clearly-so don't panic when tribulation comes on you because it will...continually. Many evils confront the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of every one of them! We're not to deny the reality of what we're up against-we're to believe the truth of Who handles what we're up against. We're not to figure out how God will be with us-we're to believe...He will be with us...always. Most of what we face is too much for us...job losses, rebellious teens, difficult job market, strained relationships, single parenting, managing family, work and believing in what we can't see. God never asks us to figure things out...He wants to know if we will be a vessel for Him to work through. Choose to believe God-no one can believe for you...that's why it's called a personal relationship. When you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, Jesus came to live in you. Face this  reality...He lives in you. Life is hard, but Jesus is Lord and He's overcome the world! Go out and face your giants tomorrow-Jesus has deprived them of the power to harm you! Believe Him...a promise is only powerful to the one who chooses to believe it.  (John 16:33, Ps 34:19, 2 Cor 4:7) 4/12/13CIFL-LMM

You have the boldness of Christ in you!!!

Moving forward in boldness doesn't mean you won't feel fear...it's you having the guts to take God at His Word. Your confidence is in God; His ability to face the giant that wants to kill you! Face your giant with the confidence of God's boldness in you...have the guts to take God at His Word! (1Sam17:45-50) 4/9/13CIFL-LMM

Giving the first of your last...

When we are able to give the first of our last...that's where we meet Jesus. Embracing the risk feels crazy- the trust gained is priceless! (1 Kings 17:9-16) 4/10/13CIFL-LMM

Moving forward & feeling fear...

Moving forward in boldness doesn't mean you don't feel fear...it means you have the guts to take God at His Word. Your confidence is in Him-believing His boldness will flow through you! (1 Sam17:45-50) 4/9/13CIFL-LMM

The real you...

The only way to authenticity is via vulnerability; no way around it-must go through it, but when you do...you find you. God designed you to be authentic- do it! (Eph 2:10) 4/9/13CIFL-LMM

Your status is not your identity...

Be careful, the world wants to label you with a status to qualify your value-calling it your identity. Don't confuse identity with status. Identity is who you are in Christ...status is a label given by the world like... single, dating, married, divorced, renter, home owner, student, teacher, employed, stay at home mom. These are labels...not value indicators. A status does not define you... you define it. Purpose to know your Father and you will know His love for you-His love for you is your identity. Make sure you get your love from the One Who loved you first and know who you are! Statuses will change throughout your life...but God's love for you and your value never change-you are valuable because you are His child-you belong! Know Him...and Know Love-pass it on! (1 John 4:19, Ps 139:14, Col 2:10) 2/2012CIFL-LMM

Trials are part of life...don't let them steal God's promises!

Life impacts you-how you respond...defines you. Trials are part of life-don't let them steal God's promises or become your identity. Take ownership of your life...repair what you've broken, return what you've stolen, stop blaming, quit wishing-take steps, make amends, finish what you've started, be real-stop faking, stop being stingy-it's not yours anyway, be a giver, keep your word, hold your words, let go of guilt-be full of joy, break off toxic relationships, bless others with words of life-not death, receive grace, give grace...be an overcomer! Our Father tells us not to fear because He's with us-He flows His strength through us-hardening us to difficulties. He promises to walk us through every difficulty we face...but He won't make them disappear. We're more than conquerors-if God's for us, who can be against us? Don't waste another good day wishing or dreading- take ownership and move forward. Living the life Jesus died to give you so you can make a difference-shine your light! (Isa 41:10, Rom 8:31 & 37, Jn 10:10, Mt 5:16) 2/22/13CIFL-LMM

Focus and move forward...forever begins today!

Focus and move forward...forever begins today-right now! Every step you take and each thought you have today is an investment in forever-because forever begins right now. Raise your expectations beyond what you can think of or imagine based on God's promises and His hope...not your preconceived ideas and perception. The human mind can't comprehend how God will deliver His promises. Many don't want to be let down-so they lower their hope. God can't let you down and He doesn't lie. Don't confuse your timeline with God's-He delivers what He promises! Don't allow your preconceived ideas to distort God's truth and your perception. The human mind can't imagine or understand how, when, why, what and where God will do things. Those who believed and loved Jesus were distraught after His death; they had a preconceived idea of how God's promise would be fulfilled, "we had hoped that He was the One Who was going to redeem Israel." After Jesus' resurrection He asked the disciples, "why are you troubled and why do doubts raise in your minds?" God will do exceedingly, abundantly more than you could ever dare think of or ask for according to His power that is at work within you. God's fullness is available to you, but you must appropriate His fullness by completely surrendering to and relying on Him-to fulfill His plans through you. Renew your mind daily with God's truth and promises-believe, say and walk them out. Focus and move forward...forever begins today-right now! (Heb12:27, Eph 3:20, Isa 55:9, Lk 24:21 & 37, Rom 12:2) 4/8/13CIFL-LMM

God can't lie...put your hope in Him

God can't lie...don't let go of Him-He will never let go of you. When grief comes in like a flood, seek God for comfort to hold your mind and heart together... keep your faith in Him-His hope will anchor you. The human mind is finite, it's limited and can only comprehend what it can see and reason, but God has no limits...He calls the end from the beginning-He sees the past, present and future with one sweep of His eyes. He sees what you can't see, He knows what you don't know and He does what you can't do. Holy, Holy, Holy-Lord God Almighty Who created Heaven and Earth and holds this world together with His hands...let His hope anchor you and His love comfort you like no one else can! (Heb 13:5, Heb 6:19, Isa 46:10, Col 1:17) 4/7/13CIFL-LMM

Making successful plans...come to pass

You got plans...setting goals, need direction in your marriage, family and/or profession, carrying a dream in your heart that's so ludicrous-you don't even speak it, financial concerns, not sure if you should proceed in a relationship??? Spend time with your Father God-only He can tell you the future before it ever happens. Everything He plans comes to pass-He knows what you need to succeed. You have many plans...but only His purpose prevails. Don't be deceived...apart from Him you can do nothing; He makes your steps firm-even if you stumble-you won't fall. Seek God- rest in Him for everything you need in life & He will make the justice of your cause shine like the noonday sun! (Isa 46:10, Jn 15:5, Pr 19:21, Ps 37:23, Ps 37:6) 3/11/13CIFL-LMM

Your heart & words determine your course in life!

Don't like the direction of your life... examine your heart. Your heart determines your course in life-everything you do flows from it. Your heart houses your beliefs, attitudes & motivations-what you say flows from what's in your heart. Ask Jesus to help you examine if there's anything offensive in your heart-which is anything that doesn't doesn't line up with His Word. Change your heart & change your words & change your life! (Lk 6:45, Prov 4:23, Ps 139:23-24)   7/12LMM #CIFL

Get a revelation...God's Word is alive in you!

Get a revelation of your privileges...God's Word is alive in you-nothing can overcome you! Jesus Christ lives in you; He's overcome the world and so have you. You will have trials, don't allow them to make you weary and throw away your confidence-persevere so when you have done the will of God...you will receive what He's promised. Rest in God-you're not alone in this fight...unless you try to reason and do things your way. Many days you will not "feel" like you've  overcome but that doesn't negate the truth... that you are an overcomer-you just haven't crossed the finish line yet. God's Word is living and powerful-sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. You're never left to your limited abilities unless you go your own way. If you've been doing life your way,  repent and turn to God; He's waiting-His love will refresh you. Let His Word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Get a revelation of your privileges...God's Word is alive in you! (John 16:33, Mt 11:28, Heb 4:12, Acts 3:19, Ps 119:105) 4/3/13CIFL-LMM

Help Jesus...I believe!

Things can go south in a second-make a way for me Jesus...I believe! For the sake of your name, O Lord, revive me-in Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble. Don't allow trouble to separate you from Him-no matter how deep you are in it...call on Jesus! (Ps143:11) 11/2/12CIFL-LMM

Biggest problem...problems you won't acknowledge

The biggest problems you have in life are the things that you won't acknowledge as problems in your life. You've grafted these problems into your identity; exactly what the enemy wants...to steal, kill and destroy the life Jesus died to give you. Know, receive and walk out the truth-it will set you free! (Jn 10:10, Jn 8:31-32) 3/17/13CIFL-LMM

Trial to triumph...

Jesus converts trials into triumphs! There's no trial He can't take on; remember, He took on hell & won...the tomb is empty! Give your trial to Him today; no longer remain a prisoner of your pain. This trial isn't who you are...it's what happened to you.

Who you are is found in Jesus-His love completes you! Give the trial to Jesus-He will heal your wounds & take the harm you've been carrying. Then you will know the truth & the truth will set you free-this is triumph! (Jn 8:32,16:33, Rom 8:28, Col 2:10) 4/4/13LMM #trialtotriumph #christianinsightforlife

Pain-it's where you find Jesus & know you have what it takes!

Pain is an undesired but necessary part of the maturation process. It's the catalyst that tests a persons faith; catapulting them forward-teaching perseverance to overcome and move through life. Pain is the opportunity to develop a steadfast faith and know Jesus intimately. Only Jesus can give a person what it takes to overcome trials. No one can take or experience another person's pain. Whether the pain is self imposed or brought on by the unpredictable circumstances of life...their relationship with Jesus is the bridge that leads to the other side of the trial; providing the confidence to know they have what it takes... because the relationship with Jesus' gives them what it takes. Pain experienced during the trial directs the person to the bridge...Jesus-He's the way, the truth and the life! Don't try to take a person's pain...you will block access to their bridge and cheat them out of knowing Jesus. Because only Jesus can give them what it takes...so they know they have what it takes! (James 1:2-4) 4/3/13CIFL-LMM

Run the race God's called you to...

Laura Mangin McDonald MA LPC Christian Insight for Life  Run the race God's called you to...emotion will open the gate for the run, but discipline is required to finish. You've got what it takes; God made you to endure & win. God's able to do far more than you can think or imagine, according to the power at work within you. That power is God's power in you; you must choose to use it to experience far more than you can think or imagine. You will have many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time! Every moment you have the choice to rely on His strength that's in you. God's faithful-He's with you during every tough decision; remain in Him & He will remain in you. Breathe, receive His strength, press forward, then do it...again & again & again. If you fall, learn from it- what tripped you? God gives wisdom-ask Him, but then believe Him. Correct your error & get back in the race. Run with a purpose-keep your eyes on the the prize. The moment you are in...is the moment you have discipline in. "I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything & equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]." Run your race...you've got what it takes-God made you to endure & win! (Eph 3:20, Ps 34:18, Jn 15:4, James 1:2-7, 1 Cor 9:24, Phil 4:13) 12/5/12CIFL-LMM

Your more is found in...Jesus

Don't go through life forever raising the bar for something more...your more is only found in Jesus. Whatever you're looking for, lost, lack or long for...you will find it in Jesus. He completes you... nothing else can. (Col 2:10) 4/3/13CIFL-LMM

I was hiding...behind my Christian comfort zone

For years I hid behind my Christian comfort zone. I honestly didn't know I was hiding-when we're desperate to make something work...we lose perspective-I had lost mine. Deception had me believing that I'd finally gotten it all together, but most of my time was spent...trying to keep it all together-as long as I looked right, I thought I could feel right. Then Jesus introduced me to the big V...vulnerability. The last year and a half I've been walking this journey of vulnerability-it's been risky but worth the prize...much more to say on this topic. 3/25/13CIFL-LMM

Holding on to hurt...holds you back

Holding on to hurt...holds you back. Hurt is like a toxic spill in your body. Every time you revisit the hurt...toxins leak into every cell of your body-causing harm to your heart, mind & spirit. You can't manage the damage but Jesus can- release your hurt to Him. Then renew your mind...be transformed & changed-creating a new attitude. Release hurt & renew your mind daily-it's purposed work that pays off so you can walk out the good plans God's called you to! (Rom 12:2) 3/29/13CIFL-LMM

Your identity is found in God...exclusively

Your identity is found in God...exclusively. Trying to be someone else will frustrate you & compromise your authenticity. Don't go through life forever raising the bar for something more...your more is only found in Him. Copying what you think the world says you should be-is just that...a copy-it's not authentic. You're fearfully and wonderfully made-every moment of your life was laid out before a single day passed. Labels aren't your identity... married, divorced, single, white, black, brown, purple, professional, laborer, educated, uneducated, worldly, unsophisticated, tax bracket, or home address. Labels don't give life, but the Vine does-apart from Him you can do nothing. Rise up, you've got nothing to prove-you've been approved. It's not your strength-it's His through you. Be the you He called you to-it's your identity! God is waiting...are you ready? (Jer 29:11, Ps 139, Jn 3:16, Jn 15:5) 7/9/12CIFL-LMM

Trusting God isn't a suggestion...

To trust the Lord is not a suggestion, something to consider or ponder on. God's clear-trusting Him gives you peace of mind. Don't deceive yourself...you can't figure out things apart from Jesus-He's your compass for direction in life. Your way seems right but leads to death. Experience the peace He makes available to you every second by... receiving it. You're an overcomer because the Overcomer lives in you! (Pr 3:5, Jn 15:5, Pr 14:12 Jn 16:33) 4/1/13CIFL-LMM
