To
experience peace in the mind, walk out the life Jesus promises &
know the truth that sets you free…you have to believe God's Word.
Believing isn't a feeling you feel...believing is a decision you make.
Believing is based on Who God is, not if you understand everything about
Him. Many have a hard time with this truth, lose direction & slowly
fade into disbelief. Their belief is based on what
they can feel & understand. When they encounter situations they
don't understand, they "feel" God has abandoned them then fear sets in
& manifests into anger towards God. When they experience an answered
prayer, they "feel" God cares then they're safe & secure. God says
He loves us & will never leave us. If a person believes this truth,
then during trials they're secure in His love even though they don't
understand everything. But if their belief in God is based on what they
can understand Him doing or not doing, then their love is conditional.
Trials give us opportunities to strengthen our faith & develop perseverance so that we lack nothing. God says to ask for wisdom & He will give it generously without finding fault, but when we ask we're to believe & not doubt. The person who doubts is like a wave in the sea being blown & tossed about by the wind. This person shouldn't expect to receive anything from the Lord because they're double minded & unstable. God welcomes our questions that challenge us, but not rhetorical ones that challenge Him. We cross a line if we question His authority & blatantly doubt His Word.
When I committed my life to Christ I made the decision to believe God's Word & I desired to trust Him, but I really struggled. I was honest & told God I wanted to trust Him but I was afraid to completely release my life to Him. God heard my plea & sent His help...grace & mercy; they did a work in me so I could embrace what I professed to believe in my heart! God's love met me in my doubt & made a way! I called out to the Lord & He answered me…He delivered me from all my fears! He will do the same for you-will you ask Him? LMM (Phil 4:7, Jn 8:32, 10:10, Jas 1:2-8, Mt 4:7, 7:7, Mk 9:24, Ps 34:4) 5/12 #askGod #grace #mercy #wisdom #deliverance #christianinsightforlife
