Dear Child…how many more nights are you going to "work on" this situation apart from My help? You talk to Me about it, but not to hear My wisdom or to release it to Me. I'm waiting to help you, but I won't allow you to cheapen Me to a checkmark on your list to fulfill an obligation of prayer. I know this situation is waking you in the night with anxiety, interfering with your ability to concentrate and causing an overall agitation in your mood. Listen closely, these symptoms are a classic pattern of behavior that manifests when... My children try to do My job!

You've got to know I am not mad at you and I am for you, but until you take a risk and trust Me...you simply won't know. My grace will meet you where you are, My truth will guide you in what you need to do and My love will stay with you until you cross the finish line! What saddens Me the most is to watch you struggle in your finite ability and limited resources while you reject My infinite ability and unlimited resources! As much as I hate to watch you suffer, I know I have to let you come to the end of yourself. But it's at your end where I begin...you will find Me there when you call out for Me. I love you child~God

God will fight your battle...will you let Him?

God said, "go down there and face them and I will fight this battle for you." He didn't say, "speculate and debate on how I might fight for you and when you feel comfortable in your decision, go down there and face them." If we lean into our understanding and try to figure out "how" God will fight for us, we open the door for our thoughts to be rushed with fear and we will paralyze our ability to move forward. What God asks of us most of the time is humanly impossible... whether it's forgiving horrific abuse, bringing a dead marriage back to life, having hope in a hopeless situation, receiving favor with those who oppose you, making a way through when all doors are closed, needing arrangements for your child's different learning style and believing for change despite no changes being made and on and on. God fights when we show up; straight-forward and simple. Some seasons we show up every day only to go home with no change, but don't give up hope. There's a day coming when you're going to know...one touch of God's hand wins the battle, and suddenly, in a nanosecond, your life changes before you! When despair awakens you in the night...

When despair awakens you in the middle of the night and pounds on your mind with questions of how you're going to handle all the things that you don't know how to handle...you don't have to have an answer. Despair's motive is to steal your hope until you give up; know this, so you're prepared for the assaults on your mind. Counter each assault with God's truth; you can't resolve these things, but God can. God is for you even when you don't "feel" like He is; hold onto this truth to sustain despair's open warfare on your mind. Remember, God doesn't need your help to make things happen, He needs your trust so He can work through you to make things happen. God's making a way-will you release all the things you can't handle and trust Him? When you're having one of those "worst" kind of days...

When you're having one of those "worst" kind of days...agitation antagonizes your thought patterns, long hours don't seem to make a dent in the deadline, conflict resolution leaves you more drained than resolved, doing the right thing hasn't changed you from being treated the wrong way, sincere intentions are dismissed due to unfair biases, your risk to be truthful was disingenuously received and distorted, the new time management plan didn't include unplanned family needs, lack of sleep is causing concentration issues, exercise was pushed aside to manage the undone "to do" list from yesterday, junk food is your go-to for nutritional needs, and the list goes on. Take comfort in knowing you're not alone; none of us are exempt from these "worst" kind of days, but none of us have to settle for them being a way of life either.

It's incredible how quickly our emotions can reduce us to feeling devalued, overlooked and without a purpose within a matter of hours, but it happens to all of us. A combination of thought patterns, memory and brain chemistry can take a person's mind on a ride down the highway of hell. These "worst" kind of days could emotionally debilitate a person, if they had to rely on their ability to overcome, but they don't. Thank you Lord, we have a Savior. His Spirit lives in every believer and His transforming power of grace is at work individually and collectively in the Body of Christ to minister to and supply all our needs!

There's not one or any amount of "worst" kind of days that can ever be bigger than God's love or plans for our lives. God's truth and direction promises to never leave us, a peace that surpasses human understanding, and confidence of a good future; no unique situation or person is exempt. However, many exempt themselves from God's good plans with their thought patterns.
