Jesus your Savior...your Answer

Jesus will help you...but you have to let Him. He won't force Himself on you-He's gentle, kind & caring. He wants you to invite Him-you choose if you're comfortable with Him close to you. He's waiting, He's your bridge to the Father-your desires. Go on, ask Him...He's waiting for you. What is it you need help with...self-esteem, a relationship, finances, heartache, job search, being real, forgiveness, time management, jealousy, school choice, anger, a disease, assertiveness, direction, friendship, grief and loss, parenting, hearing God? 

Whatever you need help with...Jesus will help you, but you must let go. What you keep from Him is for you to handle-what you release to Him...He will handle. Jesus never messes up, His plan is perfect, He fixes what was broken, restores the lost, makes your path straight, makes the blind see & the deaf hear, He makes something from nothing, heals the hurting, binds up the wounds of the brokenhearted, gives hope to the hopeless. He shows up when others don't,  holds you when others won't, reveals what others can't; He has no barriers, He's unstoppable, He's the name above all names...Jesus! His love completes us-He is the way, truth & life.

Layers of life...a culmination of experiences

Layers of life...a culmination of experiences & emotions; some recalled with joy-others with sorrow. Each layer tells a story...some we tuck in our heart forever-others we want to completely forget. We get bogged down in the layers of life when we feel justified in our actions-the reasons we don't want to move forward. Some don't want to release their predictable routines-they feel safe & reason it's their option to move forward or not...so they forfeit their future-opting for the comfortable familiar. Others justify they can't move forward-they're not able to shake off regret & shame so they watch reruns of... "what I should have done & how things might be, if I would have."

As Christians, we're to always be in forward motion & making a difference-intensity can change according to the season of life, but the perpetual forward motion never stops. We're saved to fulfill the plan & purpose God called us to-we've got to see our lives from God's perspective...we're His children. We're equipped with specific skills & talents to do a job...yes, God loves us dearly & we're valuable to Him...so He gives us important jobs to carry out-to build up the body of believers, every step has been ordered, He calls the end from the beginning. We're more than conquerors, not so we can sit on the sofa and complain about what's not right in our lives but so we can go out & spread the gospel-the good news...the same good news that saved us!

Some wonder, ponder & reason for an entire season saying they're waiting on God-but really they don't trust Him...so they do nothing. God hasn't forgotten you-He's making a way...you just can't see it yet. God's hope will anchor & hold on for you when your strength's gone-you don't have to figure it out...just believe He has. When despair rushes you in the middle of the night-waking you from sleep & starts pounding your mind with thoughts & questions like what are you going to do if, they don't appreciate you, what if they get hurt, can't you stop this, is God going to let this go on, they don't value your opinion, your promotion doesn't look like it's going to come through, how many 401K transfers have you made now, nobody is returning your calls. Despair's motive is steal your hope with what ifs until you give up-know this so you're prepared for the assaults on your mind & be ready to counter each one with God's truth.

You don't have the answers, but God does. Apart from Him there's nothing you can do…that means nothing-grasp this so you can walk in victory. God doesn't need your help-He needs you to trust Him...then He will even help you trust Him! Ditch your plans & ideas for His-have faith in Him constantly. God gives life, we completely rely on Him for every breath-we only do what He enables us to do with His strength flowing through us. Anything that exists does so because He allows it...He changes times, seasons, removes rulers & appoints new ones, gives wisdom to the wise & knowledge to the discerning, reveals hidden things & rules over what's visible & invisible-He won't let your enemies overcome you...He's the only authority!

A roadtrip with Jesus...

A road trip with Jesus...I had no idea it would be this long-Jesus never gave me a timeline but I just thought I would be back to my regular routine by now. Jesus has taught me so much on this trip, for starters He's funny-you know He gave us laughter & the concept of humor-we're made to laugh a lot. He's shown me how to enjoy the ride while on the way to where I'm going. I've always been list maker & get it done kind of girl, but this road trip has taught me how to make time for the scenery & relationships along the way verses just getting to my destination. I've most cherished the intimate heart to heart talks-Jesus will sit up all night talking & listening. Every day He wants to know what I see then He will tell me what He sees.

We've spent time talking about real humility-my complete reliance on His strength. For me to accomplish anything or overcome things, I must receive His love-it's big enough to take on my regrets, mistakes, hurts, fears.  His love has given me the strength to forgive myself for harm I caused others, as well as, forgive others for the wrongs they've done to me, but I had to release them to His hands. I know for sure apart from Him I can do nothing but with Him I can do all things He calls me to do. When I try to be a superhero & handle life apart from Him, He's not impressed-mostly because He hates to see me struggle when He can help but more so it puts the focus on my glory instead of His.

I've learned about the power & boldness of the Holy Spirit-without Him we don't have the guts & courage to do what God asks...we just don't have that kind of boldness on our own! Every time I get to the point of thinking I can't take another unknown day, God wows me to speechlessness with His love-He fills me with an undeniable sense of hope that can only come from Him. He shows me a glimpse of the future & reminds me that He purposed me long ago to do the good works He planned-that He will complete what He started in me! How's your road trip with Jesus going? Mistakes, misfortunes & messes in life...some you bring on, others are imposed on you & then some you're just ignorant & don't know better. Regardless of how you got them...God's love will cover them, if you trust Him.

God gives wisdom without finding fault-He wants you to know the mistakes you've made-don't make you a mistake, the misfortunes imposed on you-don't leave you misfortunate & your messes don't make you a mess! What's impossible for you is possible with God, but until this information becomes revelation... you will try to do what only God can do & it will make you crazy!!! Don't be mad at God, He's for you & not against you-nothing can ever separate you from His love…other than you. You can call on Him anytime, anywhere or anyplace-He's looking to & fro for those who trust in Him. 

Life is hard-trials are constant & God promises to be with & bring you through each one. Don't allow any mistake, misfortune or mess to get in the way of your relationship with God-He's bigger than anything you have done or that's been done to you. He turns the harm intended towards you around for His glory, but you must release the things you're facing...so He can- He won't force you. Relationships...how to deal with them

Relationships in life...some we pick & enjoy, others we're placed in & they require much effort, some come easy & others are just hard, some energize while others drain, some are very close & others are far apart, some are honest & others aren't, some we keep a lifetime while others have to be severed from our life. God will help us with each one.

God offers wisdom generously in our relationships without finding fault-His truth is our guide. If we're not hearing His wisdom it's because we're too busy dialoging with the thoughts in our mind & listening to our feelings. Listen closely, until we prefer God's wisdom over our feelings...we will not hear His guidance in our relationships. Our feelings change & can't give us the objectivity nor the stability & truth that God's wisdom reveals. God's wisdom can feel uncomfortable, unnatural & require unwanted work, but if we're sincere in wanting to do things God's way, He will give us the desire & power to carry out what He instructs us to do.

Are you searching for answers...ask Jesus!

Until you enter into an intimate relationship with Jesus & give Him complete access to your heart…you will forever be searching but never find what you are looking for in life. Many spend a lifetime seeking answers outside of themselves only to find out way late or tragically not at all that the answer is found on the inside of them.

On the inside of every person is a door to Jesus…He's the way, truth & life-He has every answer to everything a person needs & more. Jesus gives us access to the Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby-the Holy Spirit; Whom the Father sends in His name-in His place to act on His behalf & teach us all things. The Holy Spirit will cause you to recall, remind & bring to your remembrance everything you need. When you open the door to Jesus, He gives you His Spirit & He will dwell in you & you in Him.

A life separate from Him is like a branch broken off from the very vine it relies on for nourishment to produce fruit…apart from the vine it will wither & die. Like the branch we can't bear the fruit we are destined to produce, much less live…we must be vitally united to the Vine, without Him we will wither & die. God's got this! Why are you searching your mind for an answer that only God has & only He can deliver? When you stop the search in your mind, you will be able to receive the comfort, confidence & guidance of the Holy Spirit-He's your Helper & will guide you in all truth.

Listen closely, your mind is about to burst & you're sleep deprived because you're trying to fix an impossible situation with a human solution-only God's provisions fix impossible situations. Stop trying to do God's job…you will lose your mind! Instead rest in His sufficiency-His strength is perfected in your weakness. Apart from Him you can do nothing-that really means nothing, but with Him you can do all things He strengthens you to do. And that includes empowering you with the desire to believe & trust that He's got everything figured out. Nothing is too big for God to handle, shocks or takes Him by surprise or stumps His thinking...God's got this!

Let go & let God...be amazed!

If you will let go & let God...you will be amazed. God can fix what you're facing-in a mighty way! Are you holding onto a situation...trying to save or revive it? Are you consumed thinking about it, does it weigh you down, wake you up at night, make your head hurt & your stomach ache, determine if you spend money or not, go out of town or even out to eat?  Many say they believe God can do anything but they don't give Him much of a chance to prove He can do anything. 
Do you trust God as long as you understand His plans? Have you already got your back up human plan ready, if God's doesn't make sense to you? You justify you're being prudent & prepared, but really... you're doubting & disbelieving God's ability to handle the situation you're facing. 

Listen closely, your plans delay God's intervention. I use to do this a lot-I'd ask God for help then try & fix the situation myself when I didn't see anything happening. I knew my human help was futile, but I wanted to feel like I was moving things along. One day God said,"enough!" When I began to let go & let God I was amazed at the shift in my circumstances. Releasing my grip let God's mighty hand take it & He did in a mighty way! 

This wasn't overnight but I saw a clear unveiling of God's power, when I got out of the way. I had to stay in scripture, speak & renew my mind with the Word throughout the day, spend time & talk with Jesus constantly, listen to my thoughts & be careful of the words I spoke, examine how I spent my time in general, who I hung out with, what I watched on TV & listened to on the radio. God loves you & He's waiting to take the burden of the situation you've been trying to save. He's your Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Deliverer, Alpha & Omega, El Shaddai, Jehovah-Jireh; your God, Shield, Stronghold-His Word is a lamp to your feet & a light to your path. God will fix what you're facing-in a mighty way! Take off the grave clothes...

Make a decision about your pain today...come out- take off your grave clothes! The pain you're going  through isn't the end of you! Life lives in you-Jesus died & gave you the Holy Spirit...He's alive & well on the inside of you & He will lead you in all truth! Stop going through the motions, checking off the to do list, speaking Christianese to get just another day behind you. You've settled because you're overwhelmed by the circumstances you're in-it's emotionally sucking the life out you. And it will continue to...until you drag these issues in the light & place them before Jesus. 

 

Jesus knows the situation you're in-He's calling your name to come out & take off the grave clothes! Trust Him to help you, but don't try to control how He helps; trying to manipulate the outcome is what led you to the emotional grave in the first place. The situation you're in can only be brought back to life by Jesus, but it requires you to speak His truth & you haven't been speaking it. You know God's Word-it's a lamp to your feet & a light to your path. You're standing in the dark because you won't speak it. His Word is like a fire shut up in your bones...you're weary holding it back-speak God's truth to the situation that you're in then trust Jesus to walk you through it! Empty yourself of the pain that's holding you in this emotional grave-purge what you've been denying, holding back, minimizing, trying to prove & pushing down...cry a river & grieve what was lost, stolen or never given. Grief validates the pain you've gone through-it says you matter. You will be left in the darkness of your emotional grave & a prisoner of your own pain until you bring these circumstances in the light-let Jesus have them. Speak God's truth & stop doing what seems right in your mind. A man's ways seem right, but lead to death. When you make the decision to believe Jesus can handle the circumstances you're in...then you have to let Him handle them-don't try to manipulate the outcome. 

 

Acknowledging hurts, surrendering them to Jesus, forgiving those that imposed the hurt, then grieving is the only way to complete healing. People who refuse this process, will go through life with wounds in their heart, never experiencing the full promises of God. You're not left without hope-you're guaranteed to overcome & be completely restored. Make a decision about your pain today & come out...take off the grave clothes! He is risen!

Broken & left for dead...

Broken & dead...Jairus' daughter was dead-no hope, don't bother Jesus anymore for help-there's no use. He ran to Jesus with the hope that He'd save her, but it was too late…stop asking Jesus for help because it won't make a difference. Jairus was broken-his daughter lay dead & his hope was gone.

What's been broken & dead in your life...relationship, virginity, career, family scandal, rebellious child, financial ruin, childhood innocence, betrayal of a loved one, pain so thick it suffocates you or a grief that consumes you? You're sinking in devastation-your world is spinning...dear God how will you ever overcome, will the family ever get past this, how will this pain ever stop gushing out of you, where do you go from here? Jairus was told not to bother Jesus because the girl was dead, but Jesus said to Jairus, "don't be afraid, just believe & she will be healed." Jairus had to be in a daze-his only child, now dead. He decided in the middle of his grief to believe & follow Jesus.

Don't give up & stop asking Jesus for help when all you see is a broken & dead situation. Keep on praying-keep following Him. When grief consumes your being & you can't see-Jesus will show you the way, but you won't know unless you follow. He's the way, truth & life of any dead situation you're experiencing-follow Him friend.

Jesus led Jairus back to his home where his dead daughter lay. Jesus tells the people to "stop wailing & go away." I didn't understand why Jesus spoke this way to grieving people until I received a revelation....when we experience a devastating situation, we need people to love & pray for us-supporting us through the grief process. Many well meaning people are more harmful than helpful-they don't rely on the power of Jesus' love to restore broken or dead situations. Jesus says, "come to Me, all you who labor & are heavy-laden, overburdened-I will cause you to rest. I will ease, relieve & refresh your souls. Jesus can bring life to the broken & dead situations in your life! He was beaten, broken & left for dead & laid in a tomb-everybody watching thought it was over. He's dead, gone...but on the third day He rose again-the tomb is empty!

Jesus ignored the snide remarks & naysayers as He led Jairus & those He trusted back to where the girl lay. He reached to her & she got up. Will you let Jesus reach to you, don't be afraid, just believe...He will make a way for you, He is the life to the broken & dead situation you're facing. He overcame being broken & left for dead! Facing the death...of a dream

Facing the death of a dream…the pain is excruciating. You poured your heart & soul into it-now it's gone...over, no more. There's an abyss of emptiness inside of you that's beyond the threshold of pain; you know you're alive yet death consumes the inside of you.

You do have hope...His name is Jesus & there's power in His name-call on Him! Run into His strong & loving arms & pour yourself out-purge the death from inside of you. Jesus is your anchor-His hope will hold your mind & heart together as you release the grief from within you.

Listen closely, your dream is dead...but your hope isn't! Your hope is in Jesus Christ-He's your Redeemer & He lives! The same power that raised His dead body lives in you! Grief is a painful process, but it's not bigger than His love. Remain in Him & He will remain in you, providing all you need & more...if you will put your hope in Him alone. He's not missed one tiny detail, He's included every mistake you've made & the wrongs done to you for your past, present & future... He even gives you the desire & power to obey Him (Phil 2:13)! Your part is to put your faith in Him constantly (Mk 11:22).

When you're ready to give the first of your last, believe without seeing & risk leaving your comfort zone...then buckle up baby-Jesus drives really fast & you're going places! Riding with Jesus doesn't exempt you from heartaches & hardships, but He promises to bring you through each one (Pr 34:19). Know that doubt is always lurking & waiting to steal the destiny He's promised (1 Pet 5:6-7). Don't allow difficult & unknown seasons to interfere with your ride-God is faithful & gives you the ability to endure & a way out...every time (1 Cor 10:13)! Many leave the ride at this point, opting to believe what they feel instead of...believe what they know.

Listen closely, faith only grows in unknown & unfamiliar places-you don't have to know how God will carry out what He's promised you...to choose to believe what He's promised you! The things we'll talk about in Heaven...

We will be in Heaven until...foreverrrrr! I think about Heaven a lot-my mind can't even comprehend how God's greatness will be revealed, but I do know it will be beyond my imagination of perfect. I have so many questions, but I wonder if we'll be sitting around talking & watching replays of God's amazing love in our lives now? Talk about suspense, drama, action & love stories...I wonder if God has every second recorded for us to watch? Of course we know the ending but how could we ever grow tired of watching God's love unfold in our lives?

Do you ever just think about how God...meets us when we lose our way, whispers to us in the night that He will never leave us, catches every tear we've ever cried, lets us participate in His generosity of giving, performs miracles right before our very eyes, picks us up & carries us when grief overtakes us, pours His hope in us when ours is gone, lifts us up with a word that we're certain is from Him, infuses us with a supernatural expectation of a good future in the middle of despair, will coordinate a series of events to overcome impossible odds, heals every part of our broken heart, makes new what was lost, stolen or given away, makes His presence known in our loneliest hour, comforts us when rejection sears through every neuron in our body, restores what we wrote off as done or dead, gives us strength when we have none, physically breaks off chains of shame, releases a boldness in us to rise up & defeat Goliaths? These are just a few, but do you ever think about His amazing love now?

Heaven will be beyond anything we can imagine & I believe we'll talking a lot, but until we do...let's remember God's amazing love for us now. Let's encourage one another & keep our flame burning-knowing we have hope right now, today & every day because we'll be in Heaven until...foreverrrrr!!!

God never trades even...give Him what you've got & He will give you what He has. It's an uneven trade every time...with God giving your far more than you give Him, but that's His nature. He's a huge giver-He will generously provide all you need & more-with plenty left over to share with others!

Doing the math won't get you the answer...but having faith will! So give God your first, your best & all the rest. And God is able to...make donkeys talk (Num 22:28), open up & roll back massive bodies of water (Ex 14:21, Josh 3:16), convert one meal to feed 5000 (Jn 6:5-13) & do anything He pleases (Ps 135:6). Have Faith in God...constantly. Anxiety results when we realize we're not in control. Intellectually we know we're not, but this becomes a reality when we're faced with impossibles. We say we know God's in control, but when faced with impossibles we often revert to a state of panic. God says don't have any anxiety about...anything. Seek His Kingdom & righteousness first...before anything else & He will give us everything we need. That means everything-in every situation; His power will manifest through us.

Do you have faith in His ability...to handle your inability? His ability is made available to those who have faith in Him-lean on Him...constantly. Being with Him in an intimate relationship...constantly. Loving Him with all your heart, soul, strength & mind-believing He's for you & not against you. If you do, God will give you the words to say, direct  your path, give you  courage & stamina that you don't have, lead you to people who can help you, give you fresh ideas, work through horrific grief, restore & revive relationships, forgive the unforgivable, connect you to a job that's matched to your skills, lead you to a person who will be a true friend & walk with you, find the school that has the teacher who knows how to work with your child, see the doctor that has a cure for the disease you've been diagnosed with, connect you with the loan officer who gets to know you first instead of your FICO score, open up an opportunity to market your concept-but most of all...you will know His love for you!

God is with you...right now. Know, think on & remind yourself of this truth constantly-despite what your feelings tell you. Your feelings are real but they are not truth-God's Word is! You're never alone-God goes before you & follows behind you with His hand of blessing on you. Don't turn your back on the privilege of His Presence or the supernatural power that resides in you…the same power that raised Jesus from the dead!

Seek God-He meets you where you are & His power is perfected in your weakness. If you're having trouble focusing-He gives clarity, if you're grieving-He holds you tight, if you're anxious-He gives peace, if you need wisdom- He gives it generously! God promises to bring you through every trial-there's no psychiatric, medical condition or spiritual warfare that can separate you from His hope, no hurt that's too big for Him to heal or request that's too small for Him to listen to. His love heals you & His hope holds on for you. God's hands aren't tied because of a struggling economy, frozen job market or real estate downturn. There's no relationship that's too far from Him to restore, no wrong that can't be forgiven & no past that He can't redeem! God sees you as right in His righteousness even when you do wrong-see yourself as God sees you...if not, pride will convince you to make yourself right, but you only feel more wrong (Rom 10:3). God corrects you to make you right...not wrong. Take your sin to Him so it loses its power in you. What you keep from Him…keeps its power. Obedience & opposition go hand in hand  because when you obey God the enemy is waiting to oppose you because he knows obedience leads to the open doors God wants to bring you through.

Listen to how you talk to yourself...it matters a bunch! So much that it determines the course of your life! You will never rise above your view of you & if you do it's impossible to stay there unless...it's connected to God's view of you which is His truth! Line up your view of you with God's truth...He says you're His masterpiece, more than a conqueror, an overcomer, fearfully & wonderfully made, blessed, chosen & a loved child of God! These are truths that never change unlike your view of you which changes constantly according to how you're feeling about you. Push into God's truths when life hurts...when loved ones leave, medical condition changes your lifestyle, child breaks your heart, you're cheated on, gossiped about, passed over, let down, lied to, rejected, violated & isolated-you still matter because God says so! The things that try to kill you will actually catapult you into the destiny God planned for you because His hope will anchor you. Run your race...

Run the race God calls you to...you will be pushed & knocked out of your lane many times throughout the course of your lifetime-facing constant trials. God won't remove the trials, but He promises to bring you through each one. It's the only way He can prepare you for the obstacles ahead. Each time you trust God to be with you & He does you trust Him more & your relationship deepens-this is trust which leads to intimacy. Intimacy gives you the courage to trust God at His Word-when it looks like you won't make it, but His Word says you will, you trust Him despite what things look like in the natural. Doing this allows you to focus on the race-carrying out the purpose He's called you to. If you didn't trust Him, you would be preoccupied & distracted by the trials in the race & would lose time & not carry out your focus.  

Don't be shocked by the opposition-no person is exempt, it's how your character is developed. but how you handle it determines your character development. Don't be surprised when others question your motives, wanting you to justify your cause. Don't allow what they say to distract you; just because they say so...does not make it so-persevere, look ahead. You're running the race your Father called you to-carrying out His will, toss off what they say or it will weigh you down and keep you from finishing the race. What's your Jordan???

What's your Jordan? The Jordan River had to be crossed to enjoy & experience the Promise Land; it took the Israelites 40 years & God gave specific instructions for them to cross. Has God given you specific instructions to cross your Jordan? You know in your heart it's what you're suppose to do but you reason it's not a good time. The water level is at its highest with a dangerous current & now you're second guessing yourself & wondering if you even heard God correctly. You're certain all preparations have led to now; it's harvest season...the time to reap what you've sown. You look across the Jordan & see where God wants you to be-He said it's yours but you must posses it!

Your head spins-all your fears are accurate; you can't do this...but God can! He's got the able, He needs available. God doesn't amuse Himself by wringing you out to see how tough you are; He wrings the "I" out of you to make room for "Him" to bring His plans to fruition through you. The only way you're going to cross your Jordan is in His strength. Stop wasting time on if you can or can't...you can't, but God will, if you will let Him. But you won't know God will until you follow Him & step into your Jordan, then the water will begin to roll back. God told the Israelites to keep a distance between them & the ark of the covenant since they had not passed this way before. God's tenderness is evident; He knows the things He asks of us are impossible & scary, but He does this so we will rely on Him. And if we will trust Him, we will see that He's reliable & makes a way for us! 

No one can convince you to trust God, but the more bold steps of obedience you take, the more trust you gain & the more your relationship deepens. God's your source...not the world. Many profess God's truth with their mouths while they follow worldly views in their minds & hearts. We live in this world-we're to be informed, engaged & concerned about worldly issues, but our mind is to be submitted to God's truth to walk in the victory He promises. Fox News, the Wall Street Journal & Cosmo report world events, concerns & theories etc, for informed people to make decisions about their livelihood, but our security is in God & His promises! His Word is the answer to anything we need. We who are in Christ, triumph always, not because of our ability but because of what Christ has done for us! Our God reigns over what we see & don't see-our hope is in Him!

Honor & respect God's design of love, sex & family. A worldly view relies on emotions & the limited insight of the human mind...if it feels good do it, if it doesn't-don't. Love isn't when you're in the mood, feel me, groping, outdated, old fashioned, who's hot & who's not, fall out of love, justify ungodly behavior or just not into them anymore feeling...it's a commitment to love as Christ loves us & rely on His love to do it!

What's your view-are you in or out? Do you consider leaving when things get hard & tell God, "He needs to show you something or..or what? What are you going to do-where would you go? Pick a team-you can't play both sides or you'll be ripped apart; it's double minded thinking. Time passes...hurts don't

Time passes-hurts don't. A hurt doesn't go away...until it's given away. Only the hands of Jesus can take hurts-no one else can. A person remains chained to hurt until it's resolved-life is seen & heard through past pain...obscuring the view of the present & robbing God's good plans of the future. Unresolved hurt perpetuates into every aspect of daily living-stealing, killing & destroying the abundant life Jesus died to give you. There's no substitute for Jesus healing you..you can't, another person can't, no job can-having the best home, car or corner office, no amount of money or talent... nothing, nothing, nothing but the sweet love of Jesus! You don't have to live this way, but nothing will change until you change the way you live!

First, you have to acknowledge the unresolved hurt that's causing you problems because until you hand it to Jesus-it's your problem. Next, you have to ask for help-asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. What you bring in the light... loses it's power! But if you keep it-you've got to manage it. Daily get into the Word-read, study, memorize & renew your mind with it-write it out & post it on your phone...it's your life line! Finally, ask God to help you find godly friends who will be honest with you-get involved in church & give of yourself, listen to what you're listening to, how you talk to yourself & seek Christian Counseling if you need to...but dear Lord don't live a life in spiritual poverty because you don't want to address your issues!

Every person has some issue to work on if they're still breathing & will until the day they go to Heaven. Every end leads to a new beginning. A chapter must be closed before the new one can be opened. Don't be deceived-what looks like an end leads to a new beginning!

When Jesus went to the cross all looked lost; His loved ones were broken & felt all their preparations were for nothing. He was gone & all they had been believing & hoping for was over-it had come to an end. Then they found the empty tomb...their end was a new beginning!

Endurance, perseverance & confident expectation are required to move into the next chapter of your life-don't be deceived...every end leads to a new beginning! Our traveling companion Jesus...

We acknowledge the power of Jesus in our mind but...we experience His power in our spirit-where He resides in us. The Spirit Himself goes where we go and stays where we stay-He's with us with each breath we take-His power is in us to handle any impossible we face-He's our traveling companion...always with us. If you become overwhelmed and begin to doubt how your impossible situation could ever be turned around or how He could ever restore your heart after the hurt you've experienced...remember the power that brought Jesus back to life...is alive in you...the tomb is empty (Luke 24:3). What looked like a tragic end was a beautiful beginning...full of hope. God's promise to us.  Jesus spent 40 days after His death, burial, and rising up to tell those He loved, "don't be afraid, it's me." Hear that in your spirit today...don't be afraid.  Our traveling companion...Jesus, He goes where we go-we are never alone...never. Each hurt, disappointment, rejection, and broken dream-He's with you and expect Him to return to you what was taken from you (Joel 2:25). Renew your mind daily with God's word-say what He says about you, don't be anxious or afraid-He's with you always. Nothing is too impossible for our God (Luke 18:27). Do not fear anything or be dismayed with anything-He will strengthen you (Isaiah 41:10). He's gone before you & cleared a path. You can't see the path from where you're standing; begin the climb-trusting Jesus...recalling what He whispered to your heart. While you're climbing, there will be times when doubt will consume you-wanting you to abort the mission. Other times the path will appear to stop & doubt will overtake you until you realize it's a mirage in your mind playing tricks...to discourage you.

Just keep moving & stay focused. Other dead ends will appear & you will reason it must be God telling you to stop, but it's really a sharp turn where you can't see around the bend. This happens often in the journey; we reason we reached an end, missed it or misunderstood...but we gave up before we got there! We allowed discouragement to talk us out of our dream. We were too consumed with entertaining doubt & we missed the prompting & encouragement of the Holy Spirit telling us to keep going. So we turned back & began the descend down the mountain feeling foolish, very small & diminished just like satan wanted us to. Our mind plagued by a barrage of doubt & confidence paralyzed.

If you missed it...okay, we all do-learn from the experience, but don't disqualify yourself because God hasn't. God wants you to pursue the call He put in you. Don't you know He loves you & if you do miss it, He's got you covered...His grace is sufficient for you & His strength is perfected in your weaknesses! Trust Him-take a risk. God's got everything covered...

Listen closely, I've got it...you didn't miss anything, I have no barriers to providing for you-My love transcends time, the past, present & future have no limits on Me...I own time. Don't drown yourself in fear's lies or try to figure conflicts out that are beyond you-the mind of the flesh leads to death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life & peace. Look at this world through My Word; it's a lamp to your feet & a light to your path. My Word can't be separated from Me...to profess to be a Christian but think like the world will mess you up-really. 

 

Accept Me, My Word, renew your mind with it-then you will hear My voice. You do know I've ordered every step of yours, right? You were planned by me-I formed you in your mother's womb...don't ever let anyone tell you that you were not planned or you don't have a purpose. You are purposed by Me-you don't have to feel this to believe this, but as you believe it...you will feel it. Know this, I've always loved you, but I desire for you to love Me too. I want to spend time with you every day-I want a meaningful relationship with you. Even though I never leave you, sometimes you forget this, call out to Me...anytime, anywhere, anyplace-I'll answer. Jesus...our burden bearer

When you become desperate...you lose perspective. Losing perspective leads to impulsive decisions & often choices you regret. If you try to take on impossible burdens in life...you will become desperate. Desperation leads to the door of hopelessness every time. Jesus tells us He's taken all the troubles & in Him we can have peace-He's overcome the world. When facing burdens you must immediately defer to God's Word for hope. God's hope anchors your soul-giving you a peace that transcends all understanding. Be prepared for your mind to go into a natural processing mode-wanting to know how you will handle the burdens you're facing. Remember, God gave us our mind & we're to use it, but it must be calibrated to the Word. Immediately defer your thoughts to God's truth in situations where you see no way out-this process will seem irrational in your mind & that's because it is. Your mind can't comprehend how God will make the impossible you're facing work out...humanly speaking it's impossible, but with God, everything's possible. God's got your best interest in mind even when your life is crumbling around you!

Throughout scripture, the people who believed God when faced with impossibles were the same ones who witnessed God's miraculous provisions. Don't you know Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego were ready to meet the Lord when they were thrown into the fiery furnace. Still, they stood firm & believed God despite the impossible they faced-they didn't know how He would provide but chose to stand on His promise of provision. Making a decision to believe God is the first step to freedom when facing a burden. Next is releasing the burden into the hands of Jesus because He is our burden bearer. This enables you to be confident even though you have no idea how things are going to work out! The burden remains, but Jesus is managing it instead of you. 

You move ahead in what you know to do-which will seem crazy in the natural. This may lead you right into the fiery furnace-if so, know Jesus is with you & He will never leave you. Most burdens require us to walk into the fire to stand on what we say we believe-this is how we build our faith. Nobody wants to walk in the fire, but every fire brings you closer to the sweet love of Jesus! We know what we believe & no devil in hell can ever snatch it from us! Nothing can ever separate us from His love-He has good plans for us...our hope is in Him all day long! Jesus is our burden bearer…will you let Him bear yours? Don't lose heart...

Our impossibles are wrapped tightly in God's possibles...being incubated for the right time & cared for tenderly in His hands. Let us not lose heart, grow weary & faint-at the appointed season we shall reap…if we don't loosen & relax our courage & faint. Lift your face...God is working on things you can't see-hold onto His Word-He's your anchor of hope then move forward, you will eventually see the possibles. Limiting God...opens a door for doubt

Limiting God with your limits...opens a door for doubt to distort what God can do. Questioning and doubting what God can do in your specific situation, limits His ability to help...you.  You believe He will do for another, but not you. Ask the Holy Spirit for revelation; you're believing a lie-you're not exempt from God's possibles. Doubting also places a heaviness of hopelessness deep in your spirit further distorting your spiritual vision. Renew your mind with God's promises (Rom 12:2) and read scripture to be encouraged. 

 

Look at Luke 1:27-38, a virgin willing to be ridiculed by society, possibly stoned to death, much less what, Joseph, her fiancee would think of her and a million other "what ifs." She didn't know how things would unfold, being pregnant but never having been with a man...who's going to believe her??? But she didn't look at her impossible situation, instead she trusted God saying, "let it be done to me according to what you have said." 

 

Move forward in this season of your life...knowing what you face is impossible for you...but with God nothing is ever impossible (Luke 1:38). Continue to thank God for making a way-you are bringing the glory of Heaven before you when you thank Him for what He has not brought to fruition. Think about the times when your child or someone has thanked you for what you had not yet done for them. I know as a parent and grandparent, I can hardly wait to bless my kids when they have confidence in me delivering what I promised them. Same holds true for God; when we thank Him in the middle of our trials, knowing with confidence He will provide for us, we are showing Him we believe. It's a Romans 4:17 promise-calling those things that be not, as though they are. Continue to thank God for turning your impossible into His possible. Life is hard...but Jesus has overcome it!

Life is hard & unfair, loved ones will hurt us, bad things happen to good people & there will be things you won't know until you get to Heaven! No one is exempt, but what a relief to know that God's love is bigger than anything this world can do to us & that His Spirit lives in us-testifying with our spirit! Only with His love can we move through the inevitable pain & uncertainties this life brings. His love gives us His perfect peace but we must be purposed in receiving it by spending time with Jesus, renewing our minds with the Word & being sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said we'd experience distress, trials & frustrations but to have courage, be confident, certain & undaunted because He's overcome the world!

God's promises stand...you have to be purposed in taking them every hour of the day-choosing to believe when you see no indicators in sight. Agree with God's Word-it will strengthen you & increase your stamina while knocking down discouragement. Jesus has overcome this world...this is a truth-He can't lie. Ask Jesus to help you every time doubt knocks on the door of your mind otherwise anxiety will rush you & lead you into despair. Don't allow doubt to linger-immediately call on the name of Jesus!  

Stick with Jesus-He's your hope. When grief comes like a robber in the night, His love sustains you & His hope holds on for you-making a way for you when you can't see! Don't try to figure out how He will do it or your mind will reason you out of believing His promises. No one can believe for you...that's why it's called a personal relationship. Life is hard, but Jesus is Lord & He's overcome this world! This is your promise, but it's only powerful to those who believe ...do you believe? Life isn't fair & it will beat you up until you embrace the revelation that God is your hope in everything! God promises He will deliver you from every despair in life (Ps 34:19). God's power is at work in you...you control the flow

God says He will do exceedingly, abundantly more than we ever dare ask or can even imagine...according to His power that's at work in us. God's power flows through us to accomplish all the things He calls us to do from believing in His promises to forgiving others to executing impossible tasks. God will not force His power on us...He gives us the choice to trust Him. To the degree we trust determines the flow of His power through us.

What degree of  God's power is flowing through you- what's the level of your flow? My flow has been low at different points in my life. But when I ask the Holy Spirit to help me not doubt & to believe God's promises, He always does. Many times when I move forward I do it being very afraid & with my eyes shut-but I'm able to move in His confidence, not mine & I'm trusting He will show up on His timetable...not mine.

I trust God because He can't lie & He is my hope...not people, circumstances or outcomes. You control your flow...will you trust God to do exceedingly, abundantly more than you would dare ask or can even imagine? Blessing friend! Renew your mind with...the way, truth & life!

Getting saved gets you a new spirit...but not a new mind! You've got to renew your mind with God's Word, "The words I speak to you are spirit & they are life." Renewing your mind involves reading the Word, meditating on it & spending time with Jesus daily. Time with Jesus is your life source-to not have time to renew your mind is like saying you don't have time to breathe. Your mind must be renewed with Jesus...the way, truth & life. Apart from Him your mind withers resulting in exhaustion & depletion because of its finite ability. 

God's Word gives your mind the ability to exceed its own finite abilities...the insight to discern what otherwise would confound you-to believe & firmly stand on the promises of God even when all looks lost. Renewing your mind gives you a holy revelation of knowledge given by the Holy Spirit Himself. Renew your mind daily...don't reject the way, truth & life offered to you! God put gifts in you...do not withhold them

God put gifts in you for His glory to be revealed to work in tandem with the body of believers to fulfill His purpose for the Kingdom. Many withhold their gifts due to insecurities & this is a normal feeling...but not an acceptable excuse. God's equipped you with everything you need to execute your gifts-His name is Jesus & He will do far beyond what you can dream or imagine, according to the power at work within you. With Him you can do all things…apart from Him you can do nothing. His Spirit lives in you-giving constant guidance & direction.

God's designated you to operate the gifts He put in you...but you don't own them nor are you to minimize or withhold them. He's given you the privilege & responsibility to carry the them out, but you must completely rely on His ability to deliver them. You will feel accomplished & purposed when you use your gifts for the call God planned for you. If you choose to withhold your gifts or use them for the world in a way not planned by God...you knowingly reject the fulfillment & contentment He offers you. Everything about you is designed to execute the gifts He chose for you...personality, intellectual abilities, athleticism, temperament, interests, desires & perseverance etc.

Will you let God work through you to do the good works He planned for you long ago? Preach it...but don't try to prove it!

Preach it...but don't try to prove it! Our responsibility as Christians is to believe in the One God sent (Jn 6:29) & then live a life that reflects the love of Jesus in our daily living (2 Tim 2:15). Many people want Christians to "prove" why they believe, but the burden of proof isn't on the believer-it's on God. God proved everything when He raised Jesus from the dead (Acts 2:24)! A person who chooses not to believe doesn't have the discernment of the Holy Spirit & can't understand the things of God (1 Cor 2:14, 15). The operative phrase is "chooses not to believe" for if they chose to believe their heart would be open to understanding, but because it's not, you're wasting time (Mt 7:6). Every person is given the freedom to exercise their prerogative to believe or not to believe-the burden of proof isn't on the Christian because God's already proved it. Leaving my familiar to follow Jesus...

Leaving my familiar to follow Jesus...I'm not where I use to be but I'm not completely in my next season either-I'm in the middle part of believing. This is where God has done His greatest work in me. My middle part of believing continues to challenge me & deepen my faith. I've experienced a barrage of doubt, my insecurities have been confronted, beliefs challenged & pride purged. I've been uncomfortable, uncertain & unsettled. My former familiar predictable schedule gone...my false confidence knocked out from under me, leaving me with a sense of awkwardness. The middle part of believing has been a long journey; I've become weary & considered giving up at times...then my Father always sends His encouragement through someone who loves & values me & who will be honest with me.

I know this is how God must develop me-for me to know Him & to experience His love. I didn't know nearly what I thought I did...but this raw & vulnerable middle part of believing has led me to a deeper revelation of where I stand with God; He sustains me, comforts me & encourages me...every one of His promises is true. Emotions come & go but He never changes. I must stay connected to Him-He supplies me with everything I need, I trust Him because of Who He is...I don't have to know what He will do. He promises good plans for me & I believe Him, I know His voice-I'm never alone…ever. He's with me always-when I get into my new season, I will be ready not because I'm there...but because I know Him. The middle part of believing has been the most amazing journey of my life-I know my Father...He knows my name & He loves me!
