Words...give life or take it

Words are containers of power...they can build up or they can tear down. Once words are released, they become a permanent part of history. Everyday, you will have an opportunity to speak positive or negative words to people. Withholding healing words when they should be spoken is just as damaging as speaking harsh words. Silence can be a devastating answer when words of reassurance are needed. The tongue holds the power of life and death (Pr 18:21). Our tongue speaks what's in our heart and...what's not in our heart. As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man (Pr 27:19). Everyday, your speech either adds life to others or takes away life from others. Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing (Pr 12:18). Pleasant words are a honeycomb sweet to the soul and healing to the bones (Pr 16:24).
