Hurt distorts how you see...
If you've been hurt by someone who was suppose to love you...you will struggle believing those who have chosen to love you. Hurt distorts your view-you believe that you don't measure up & have to prove that you're worthy enough to be loved. This is a lie-another person's approval or disapproval has nothing to do with your value!
God says you're fearfully & wonderfully made, His masterpiece; He chose & loved you first & you're an heir to the King. These are God's truths-they will never change or be open for debate. You must make a decision to believe you're loved, chosen & adopted. Fear wants you to believe you're less than because someone didn't love you like they we're suppose to but you overcome this lie by renewing your mind with God's truth-your identity is founded in God's love & His love never changes! Speak His truth-look at yourself in the mirror, say it aloud while driving-post it on your refrigerator & phone...God's Word will transform your mind!
Until you have revelation of God's love you will try to feel your way into it & this is impossible because your feelings change constantly. You don't feel your way into God's love...you believe your way! You will not trust God or others until you have revelation from the Holy Spirit that you are loved by God...ask the Holy Spirit for revelation, He will help you. Don't take the bait from fear; stand firm on God's truth-He won't forsake you. His love never fails or gives up on you! If someone didn't love you like they were suppose to that doesn't make you unlovable that makes something wrong with them! Will you believe God loves you & no longer let old hurt distort how you see?
