Struggles...are you tired of having the same ones?

Are you tired of having the same struggles? You've tried to not give up-you do your best to work through them only to experience some victory then default to failure mode. You've stopped asking for prayer-you're just too embarrassed. You love Jesus with all your heart & you're doing what you know to do, but you're at the end of yourself! As hopeless as this sounds it's a great place to be! Every time I say this in a counseling sessions, people think I'm crazy, but I explain...crazy is trying to do what only the Holy Spirit can do through us! People confuse not giving up with trying to push through life's struggles in their strength-God never asked us to do life independent of His help.

Listen closely, God designed us to rely on Him for everything; His strength is perfected in our weakness-this is His grace. Grace is the power of God released through us to meet our needs & do what we can't do-grace gives us the ability to exceed our own ability! You've done all the things you need to do except the main thing you need to to do...embrace the reality that apart from God's grace you will continue to fail! This requires authentic humility-only God's grace enables you the freedom He's promised. You've been trying to free yourself from these struggles-believing if you could master them, then you would experience freedom. This will never work because we don't experience freedom when we're free from something…we experience freedom in Christ-in His truth! His truth doesn't exempt us from failing but it does promise His grace will meet us in the middle of every failure & pull us out!

No person is exempt from struggles, nor can anyone overcome & walk in the freedom God promises independent of His grace. God will will never give up on you-He's committed to completing the good works He started in you long ago. Will you embrace the truth… only God's grace can enable you to overcome the struggles you're going through?
