You've got to know who you are, if not... others will tell you who you are. This results in confusion, emptiness and frustration due to the constant changing opinions from others. There's only one authentic source for finding out who you are and it's not found on the outside of you. Who you are is found on the inside of you...where Jesus lives. He tells you the truth about who you are...you're fearfully and wonderfully made; God's masterpiece- created to do the good things He planned for you long ago. He will remind you that you're never alone and God has good plans for you. Spend intimate time with Jesus daily so you can know who you are; you're loved, valued and chosen by God...His child-this is who you are. Where the Spirit of the Lord is...there is freedom!
