The purpose of correction is to make you
right...not wrong. Christ makes you right with His righteousness in you-an ongoing transformation for every Believer. Let Jesus flood your heart with His
love...binding up and healing old wounds by someone who harshly
corrected you or had unrealistic expectations of you. You will be defensive and reject correction until you allow Jesus' love to heal you-take your hurts to Him. You want to be approved and valued-especially by those you love, but
your defensiveness keeps a barrier between you and everyone and
everything you care about. With
loved ones, it's an ongoing fight. They're trying to connect-telling you how they feel; all you hear is criticism-that you're wrong. They're wanting to fix the wrong in the relationship, but you push them away. They walk away feeling defeated, even more distant from
you; exactly what you don't want-their rejection of you. As long as you blame them for how you feel-you will not heal. You want to use your talents, to be acknowledged and valued; you feel dismissed. Listen closely,
there's nothing wrong with you...but until you allow Jesus to flush the old hurts out of your heart and replace the negative voices in your
mind with His love and Voice of Truth...you will blame the world for something
only you can change. Talk with Jesus, He will help you; commit to hear, receive and apply the revelation knowledge He gives you. Talk with trusted godly counsel, read
bible based information-walk it out. Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. Being made right through correction is a life
long process-no one is exempt. Let the love of Jesus flood you...see yourself as He sees you; perfect and made in His
likeness. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there's freedom! (Pr 12:1, Isa 61:1, Rev 3:20, Phil 1:6, 2 Cor
3:17, 5:17) 11/7/12CIFL-LMM
Shining God's truth across the world (Mt 5:16). When we lay down who we think we should be...we make room to become who God says we can be-His masterpiece to do the good works He planned long ago (Eph 2:10).
