The truth hurts...but it heals. It's hard to listen to a loved one
address the parts of you that you would rather ignore. They aren't
trying to tear you down; it takes guts to fight for authentic love as
God designs. Passivity in a relationship poses as being concerned and
not wanting to cause conflict; the real issue, is there's not enough
truth in the relationship to handle conflict. Truth must exist or the
relationship cannot grow and develop. Love covers...it does't deny the
unresolved issues in the relationship. Love cares enough to risk you
being angry; knowing with confidence that healthy and godly
relationships must be established and built on love and grows stronger
and develops with truth-anything less is settling. The truth
hurts...but it heals (James 5:19-20). 10/30/12CIFL-LMM
