Conform verses Transform...

Conform is to comply with the socially acceptable conventions-pressure to behave to standards. Transform is to make a thorough or dramatic change in form, appearance & character. Don't be conformed to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. 

Renewing your mind isn't merely replacing negative thoughts with positive thoughts...it's replacing the lies of conformity with the transformation of God's Word. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after & adapted to its external, superficial customs] but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideas & its new attitude] so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good, acceptable, perfect & will of God, even the thing which is good & acceptable & perfect [in His sight for you]!

Check yourself-does your talk & walk line up with God's truths? If you profess the Word but walk with the world-you're split in your beliefs & you will surely be...ripped apart! What do you really believe... what the world says or what God says? Transform your mind with God's truth...He has good plans for you!
