Feeling fear is different than being fearful...

Feeling fear and being fearful are different. Feeling fear is our internal security system-it alerts us to danger; it's God's design. We seek Him, lean into Him and feel safe-knowing we can proceed with His promise of protection. Being fearful results when we struggle to believe God's promise of protection-the more we reason it...the more unsafe we feel! The  crazy in all of this is...we know we can't do anything about the situation we're facing-only God can, but we don't trust Him! The logic of this point is lost under layers of reasoning which spikes the anxiety level and the ability to focus-you get the picture. We've all been there...but let's not stay there-embrace the promise God gives us. He will never abandon or leave us-nothing can snatch us from His hand. Next time your security system alerts danger...run to God-He's waiting to protect you! (Heb 13:5, Rom 8:15, Jn 10:28) 1/29/13CIFL-LMM
